The investigating Sherrif department needs to call the FBI and turn the case over to them, but they won't. Maybe more tv pressure like Court Tv talking about this will help.
The local sheriff dept and TBI are currently handling it...but I worry that something was missed in the beginning and it may be too late to discover now...2 months is a long time.

Vinnie, I think she knew everything. She was way too NERVOUS, NOT SCARED during the interviews she did. My mom knew and acted just like that when I was younger and she thought someone might find out the truth. She needs to be required to take a polygraph test.
A polygraph test isn't definitive, though. If she is that nervous, that alone will throw the results off. There's a reason they don't use polygraph results as evidence in court.
Madeline's mother needs to be charged. Her body language and demeanor made it ckear to me she knew what was going on and suspected this monster of murder. Madeline needs full justice. My heart breaks for Madeline.

I will tell my story.... starting at age 3 to 16 I was sexcuall assaulted by both my father and older brother... I told my mom when i was 9, she told me to tell them to stop!. I yelled stop for 2 years, to no avail, and told my mom again at age 11... Same answer, tell them to stop! The look on her face was that of disgust I remember... Not at them, but at me... I felt I didn't yell stop enough! My mom also walked by and witnessed the abuse, more than once, and continued walking... Some mother's don't want to be bothered... My father was an alcoholic, abusive man to my 4 brothers, myself and my mom... She had enough worries... I guess? This was back in the 60s and 70s. I almost sure Madeline told Jen about the abuse... Afterall, isn't that was MOM is there for... RIP sweet Madeline,.. the monster that murdered you will pay DEARLY, and your mom... she surely will PAY in her own scarry way as well

It enrages me to think how a mother can over look such things! My mother passed last year at age 95 and to her death bed she defended my brother... Crazy crazy story behind all this... New member!!!! (I have worked in criminal law for over 30 years -- and have seen it all unfortunately. But I never ever have a toughened heart when it comes to children). I have not shared my opinion on this matter anywhere else at all on the internet not even at home with people that I know. I've kept this to myself the whole time. From day one I thought of a possible pregnancy. I thought of her puberty being a teenager the party and I think that she had to make a decision that night.
I believe that the autopsy MAY HAVE revealed that she was PREGNANT!? . Think about it. And that's why the Autopsy cannot be revealed quite yet. It also could be possible that even Madeline did not know she was pregnant? I don't want to be inappropriate here and talk about physical things that happen when you're a young teen girl. She just turned 13 and that was going to affect her in many different ways.
Not only physically she may have started menustrating? (That was awful for me. I remember.) she could have began menstruating as early as 12? 11?

The Autopsy MAY be held longer than other homicide cases because it may be possible that they are going to charge him for two murders for an unborn baby. Madeline may not have known she was pregnant. Also Madeline's mother may not have known that she started her period or was pregnant. Could have been either or? Madeline's mother may have been very out of touch with her daughter because she knew what was happening. There is no way that she did not know what was happening to her daughter and with her boyfriend!!! In my opinion the mother is worse than the boyfriend if she knew and she had to know! She faces a Litany of charges such as child neglect, endangering the welfare of a minor and several other charges that pertain to concealing and keeping information away from law enforcement during this investigation! Let's call her Mrs. Satan.

Seems Chris wants to control everything including Katie and Seth, but I'm not sure that she isn't playing the part of a victim of Chris because whatever her involvement is too awful for her to acknowledge. If she would tell everything about her and Sebastian from that day and forensics would clear her and Sebastian's clothes from Texas Roadhouse it would put her in a more positive light. We still don't know much about her family background and that info may be helpful as well.

The pedophiles may be specifically looking for single moms where they can access to a child. They might also look for someone on the more docile personality, someone who can readily be talked into that there is something wrong with the child if the child start to show anxiety or behaving strange and not dwell into whether there is an underlying reason to the child doing odd things. I don't know how to explain it, in the country I'm from it's often said of that as they are very "plan" or "simple" while they may well be on a formal intellectual normal level, it's more of an emotional immaturity. There are some things she said in interviews that makes me wonder about if she is in that category. As one example, most kids when they start school around age 6 or 7 among the first thing they learn (if they don't already know) is to jot down their name and contact information. But when interviewed by journalist Madeleine's mom claim that Madeleine at age 13 would not be able to tell her address or such if she was lost and needed to reach out to someone else to ask for help. And she said it as if it was a normal thing and it's damn odd for a 13 year old if it's true. Even people with downs syndrome tend to learn these basic things.

Too many red flags for them to not be involved. I firmly believe the step-dad is the perp the very least. I don't buy anything else... the guys been investigated by CPS multiple times, with his own children as well as Sebastian. He's a strange talker on interviews... weirdly emotionless the whole time. It doesn't seem clear whether he was home that night... the mom won't be direct about that. She only says he was working and wasn't there in the morning. Totally bypassed whether or not her husband was in the house at all. Enough smoke there must be fire.

She knew everything that was happening to her daughter which she did not protect, her neglect led to precious Maddie beening abused and killed, because she chose to turn a blind eye,her biological father needs and should hold this woman accountable, they said this was DV and it all happened under her watch. She should go to prison as well, this woman should be feeling shame, she's a disgusting disgrace and grandmother and all in that family that failed Maddie as well.

Same! I've been immersed in this case since it broke! And it's actually spelled MADELINE. It's important we keep her name alive for all the pain that poor baby was forced to endure for YEARS!! As a SA survivor myself, i can only imagine the pain she felt inside every single day, my heart literally breaks for Madeline. 💔 I pray that she's now free from all that pain & finally at peace.

Sometimes a child is so young or afraid that they don't know or can't find the words to explain what is happening to them.
Sometimes the child is confused because the acts “feel good” and they feel like a guilty participant too. There are many different ways a child victim of SA can feel.

And a more fun laid-back parent. Add on top of that an absent father figure that he's filling the shoes of... He could definitely be one of those that's just super friendly, and super fun that had Madeline convinced that he would never want to hurt anybody. he's just a play friend that gets a little friendly with bodies. There are so many what ifs here. And then there is the element of surprise. Some cases are just beyond the realm of understanding. Some cases belong in a movie theater more than they do in life. Point of reference, God how do I even explain without getting into everything? My mother had a best friend who killed her mother when I was very young. I was close to that woman's mother. She stabbed her over 30 some odd times in the chest with our paring knife. She was able to skate by, and not be charged with it. This was before DNA testing. She had her mother's blood all over her bathrobe and contested that it was her period blood. God there were so many things that pointed to her guilt. I'm getting beside myself. This woman, one so far is to set off a bomb in her garage to make it look like somebody was out to get her. My mother stayed friends with her. Then when I was about 12 years old she killed her baby. Mind you I had not lived with my mother in a long time. I was to visit her every other weekend because of the abuse that she allowed in our household and the abuse that she was convicted of doing to us. Her best friend gave birth in her own home put the baby in the garbage bag and threw it in the ravine behind her house. Was one of the very first convictions based on mitochondrial DNA. It set precedent. No one knows what she took to expel that baby from her body exactly when she wanted to expel that baby from her body. At the same time my mother had gotten pregnant and I moved in to help out with the baby. My stepfather who had an unnatural fascination with me was also quite antisocial and powerful with lots of money. Before I knew it everyone was asking me if I was pregnant. I kept saying that wasn't possible. It wasn't possible at that time. When people stopped asking me and I was about 12 remind you at this time, I had colostrum coming out of my breasts. At 12 years old with a belly so big it was ridiculous and people asking me every single day if I was pregnant. I used to wake up when my stepfather would walk into the hallway. I was always awake by the time he walked into my room. The air pressure difference of his movement would wake me. Yet everyone in the family laughed about what a deep sleeper I was. That I could even sleep through the new burglar alarm that one off even though it was installed in my closet. My little former sister/ current brother that my mom had, eventually ended up with him after my mom committed suicide. He tried to have him murdered with a Hitman that he tried to solicit off of Facebook. Was in Iowa by the way in case anybody wants to look it up. He got eight years cuz my other brother went in to testify about all the abuse instead of 25. Did my mother know about all this??? I don't know if she knew about it when it was happening, but she sure helped to clean it up. I have no idea what even happened to that baby. For all I know it's still alive. We cannot possibly know what is going on in that family. I feel like speculation at this point isn't just silly. It really is detrimental to everyone involved. I think people need to take a damn step back and at least admit to themselves we do not know what is going on in that family. I'll tell you what though, based on personal experience This girl's mother was not my mother. This girl's mother was not necessarily a monster. This girl's mother may not have known much of anything, and yes certainly appears that she lied. I don't think that necessarily means that she was in on it though. I think the public vitriol toward her is kind of gross. And how we know that we should hate her we really shouldn't maybe hate her. Just my opinion.
Small point of context. My mother also was a morphine addict for over 17 years. She was incredibly rich. She had two full coverage full of medication. She had pain pills. She had pain pills mixed with muscle relaxers. She had Xanax. She had synthetic morphine she had real morphine, she had opiates. My mother was given exploratory surgery after exploratory surgery again and again throughout my life. The woman had the medications to do so. One last point for me to make to help you all believe that my mother really did this to me, is that when I was 16 and in labor with my oldest daughter I was given Demerol. I didn't quite go to sleep but I almost immediately passed out to the point where it was concerning to the nurse. My mother assured her that it was fine it was fine no big deal don't need to call the doctor I'm just a real deep sleeper. That happened in 94. I now see that as being the most damning evidence. I just don't see this woman as a woman who's trying to get one over on her daughter to get everything She wants in life. I see this woman is highly malleable. If she's a mastermind of all this, she has me fooled. I honest to God think that he has her so confused she doesn't know which way is up and which way is down. my dad used to talk about my mom's best friend. He would tell people you would walk outside and look up at the sky and you would see a blue sky. That woman was so cunning and so relentless when she would leave if she wanted to she could convince you that that guy was black. This is not that kind of woman. She's also not that kind of woman like my mom was. Was she knew things. And she claimed innocence but it never matched up with her behavior. You can only extend that Olive Branch so many times before you realize, some accountability has to be met just by the behavior alone. For my mother it's what the hell why were you hanging around people that killed other people. For my dad it's why didn't you fight harder the courts already granted you a lot why didn't you take it further when it was violated. For this woman though it genuinely seems to be that he groomed her the same way he did his step daughter. The older I get the more I realize brainwashing is such a scary thing, but it can be so easy to do. It's the people in between that have no real fear of it. It's those that are on bottom, and those that are desperately seeking out control that are so highly malleable. I hope that Madeline gets Justice. I hope that if her mother is innocent that she can find some peace. I believe she probably is innocent of the murder, and of the sexual abuse. I think she made a choice. I think that choice to her was that if he had killed her daughter she was going to find out about it, and then she would stop lying to him. But she didn't want to push the detectives toward her husband and tell she felt they had searched out other options because she didn't believe that he had done it. I think there was a part of her that also believe that her daughter may have ran away. Ultimately I think what she's guilty of is aiding and abetting. I think there is room to mitigate the circumstances of the intent behind it. but she did mess with evidence. And she's going to have to own up to that.

The mother just said that she saw madeleine the night of her birthday party. She said the last conversation with her daughter was telling her good night. Then she said she dropped her off "near" her school the next morning. Two things. She had to say she dropped her off near the school, not at the school. If she said she dropped her at the school, there are probably cameras at the school so that it could be shown she was lying. Secondly, if her last words with her daughter occurred when she dropped her off near the school in the morning, those words would not have been "good night". Mom knows what happened and now that the boyfriend is locked up, she will crack and tell the investigators what she knows.
