Your a genius. This is the exact video I have been searching for. For years . I have been planning to do similar for about 5 years and my little dragon arrived today. The same day I found you on here. Thank you so much. You’ve saved a lot of trial and error for me
So glad to see you back making content. You are the best on RUclips with down-to-earth solutions. Please consider a rammed earth wall video. Sure its labor intensive but when you are done tamping the wall is finished inside and outside... dirt cheap to build... lasts for generations too. You can own RUclips with your channel so hope you keep rolling out new DIY content. Thank you!
Great suggestion! I was just commenting on another video about rammed earth walls. My house is straw bale, this is aircrete. Maybe my next build should be rammed earth!
My minds blown. To me this is more exciting than a stick built house. Stronger, better insulation, sound barrier.. so many benefits. Keep it up. We plan on building 4 small casitas on a compound using aircrete .
Thank you SO much for making this video (and the other two, too)! This has answered a lot of questions I had end even some I didn't know about- like the styrofoam. I subscribed. I'll watch all your videos from now on.
Great to see your new innovations to the aircrete process. You have advanced the field immensely! (Glad you are doing new videos! I've watched all of yours.)
Getting ready for my 1st AirCrete project after studying options since a couple plus years ago. I like your inovations, plus explanations. Just subscribed. And will study your clips before I put my Little Dragon to use. Thanks 👍
Thank you! Answer to our prayers. Doing remodel of a room added on to a manufactured home and wanted to insulate with air crete but couldn't figure out the walls being existing wood. Now we know! Two questions. Do you have a pump for pumping the aircrete into the forms. How do you deal with the cold joints for the top part of walls? My semi retired ontractor husband asking.
I'm getting ready to tear out this carpet. I'll be cutting shapes for the panels I need, applying the cement and carrying them out to the frame for the shed.
Hello friend, I’ve been looking for real honest information on aircrete construction. I have found the right place. Im looking to build a 6, fence and a chicken coop and raised garden beds. I will use your information. Thank you
You may have answered this already, but, how long should the molds stay in place once the aircrete is poured and how long should the panels cure before applying the surface bonding concrete?
Molds can come off in 24 hours but it will still be soft. I would pour all wall sections then come back and use the surface bonding. It takes about a week for the aircrete to dry and harden up and maybe slower. The SBC will lock in moisture and slow the hardening and drying process. I would suggest 1 day for forms but be easy for a few days . and a week to cure before SBC.
Super helpful - great details. Keep up the good work. Just Subscribed. My plan is to pour into 14.5" molds so that it fits between 16" on center studs for insulation - can you recommend the best ratio of cement/water/foam for this insulation design? TIA.
just FYI Aircrete is about R-2. that R6 info was bad info that kind of spread across the internet a styro-foam panel is like R5 and Fiberglass is like 3.5-4 so aircrete is not going to be better. R2 is still good though and some people are doing styro - aircrete and getting like 3.5 on that
Just for your information it depends on how much phone to how much slurry you mix that determines the r factor of air Crete. So not all Air crate is created equal. Second thing for your information I did not spread that across the internet I did not come up with that number on my own there are many references available on line
@@TheTitian69 yeah not trying to say you were spreading it, it is the first thing that comes up when you google search as well as in youtube videos just wanted to post the comment so people consider the ranges of traditional insulation materials and can consider where aircrete fits in. I think it is still a great material and is a good insulator like better than wood and at least 10 times better than traditional concrete. And as you said the amount of foam will change the r value
SiP panels was my first idea. I think it works good because the bubbles distributed in the aircrete better which is one of the problems of aircrete. In addition I think the mix can be altered and make it even lighter and work just like spray foam insulation but it will not have any structural integrity. I built a dog house with SIP panels using metal studs and aircrete that works pretty good

Among the best channels on the tube.
Well thanks. But probably a bit of an exaggeration. But thanks for saying so
I was sleeping in the couch and this started to play randomly,I'm so lucky i found you . All my questions about aircrete were answered.
I love this guy, amazing aircrete video, a lot of value to help people to build affordable 🏠. Thanks a lot for your time and knowledge.

Wow - you answered ALL my questions about aircrete wall building - thank you!
Glad it was helpful!

You're the man
Too cool I can’t wait to see more.
With build costs skyrocketing this may help move forward, sooner on some fairly important projects,
Many thanks.
Fantastic! Blessings and thank you for taking the time and effort to post your videos!!
Glad you like them! I will be putting out more this spring.
this is really good all around--good advice, good insight, well presented. thank you for doing this man.

Best of luck! Once you dial in your settings, you will be golden.
The chicken wire is turning it into a ferrocement style aircrete. Very interesting!

Ah perfect. You the man Van.
I just did a video on hemp crete.. believe me, its very cheap in your area right now and an untapped market.
Better and cheaper than aircrete?

@@TheTitian69 Thanks a lot. My wife and I are building our house soon based on your how-to's and a whole lot of research.
I’m a 61yr old female suddenly on my own. Do u think there will be a problem with moisture once completed? Thax!
Not if you raise it off the ground a bit or you put a plastic damp proofing under the walls.
Good Question

You can work a mix consistency to spray it between studs like spray foam insulation. Hopefully, I can get around to making that video.
Great design.
However : why no superplsatifier in the mix?
Very good aircrete info! Put lots of copper green on those posts before you cover them up.
Great idea
nice meeting ya buddy
Thanks you too. Nice to be able to have an intelligent conversation.
@@TheTitian69 roger that, hmu lets build something. lol story of my life
Will the aircrete shrink if pour 4 feet height?
less than 1 inch loss
