Rachael Denhollander on the power of Larry Nassar's manipulation

- Former gymnast Rachael Denhollander set off one of the largest investigations of its kind in U.S. history. She was the first to publicly accuse former USA Gymnastics team doctor, Larry Nassar, of abuse. More than 150 survivors later came forward and Nassar was sentenced to up to 175 years in prison. In her new book “What Is A Girl Worth?” Denhollander explains what led her to speak out against her abuser. She joins “CBS This Morning” to discuss the challenges and fears that still remain for victims of sexual abuse who speak out.

An extraordinarily articulate & focused woman...They're extremely lucky to have her speaking for the cause.
Such a tragedy for the parents who thought they were just dropping their children off at a sport they LOVED. Such a tragedy for all of the young girls who were manipulated. I remember watching all of these strong women and girls take the stand to confront him and 100% rooted for them with every word they spoke.

Thank you for reminding me Rachel. When dealing with abusers and those who rally around them your dealing with a constant manipulator. And our healing won't require their approval.
Denhollander is an Attorney that represented several of the alleged victims. That seem like a conflict of interest that could affect this case. The star witness is also an attorney involved in the case.

Anyone involved in the Nassar case could have talked to whomever they wanted and say whatever they wanted to say at any time.
No one was stopping them.
There would have been so many people complaining that people would have listened.

Alleged victims of sex abuse have no problem comming forward. They come forward by the hundreds and thousands in lawsuits involving money.
The mom was in the room when Nassar was abusing them? So exactly how this was possible? The mom couldn't see where his hands were at? The alleged victims didn't make any weird faces or yell or anything. She knows this for all alleged victims, how? Sorry I don't buy it. This was supposedly over many years. Parts of this case don't add up. They want 2 billion dollars, 2 coaches are dead, Nassar is stabbed. Dead men don't talk. Are all the hundreds of accusers telling the truth? Each one should be examined.
