I dont care what anybody says, twilight - the movie had something so comforting about it for me… the greenish/blue, the soundtracks, the woods, the landscapes, Bella’s tiny house. Besides the movie, the way the author wrote it is really beautiful and unique I read it when i was 14 during a rainy summer school break 💕 Will always remember that feeling

Boy bands is another great one! I remember the extreme hate for poor girls who liked Justin Bieber or One Direction. Their music wasn't/isn't my thing but just blindly hating something because you don't like it?? I can't get behind that. I'm living for the Twilight renaissance!
I LOVE twilight. It’s a comfort series for me!! Haha I just recently read all the books again. But Midnight Sun is by far my favorite!! I lost count how many times I have read it. My biggest wish and dream is for Stephenie to release the other Books in Edwards POV I just think it’s unfair for Jacob to get such a huge chunk of breaking dawn when everyone ( of course I mean me hehe) is dying to know what Edward is thinking. Me and my sister still find scenes to talk about. I think I will never get tired of it
I'll have to read Midnight Sun again! I've only read it once when it came out :) I do think New Moon would def be interesting to get his perspective on!
I am BEGGING for a part 2-18 or how ever many. I’m re-reading midnight Sun and fully diving into the series again. I love listening to this before bed after reading 😂

I’m 57 and read the Twilight series when they first came out then watched the movies. I absolutely LOVE the Twilight series ! Especially the books. I’m also in love with the Harry Potter books and movies too. The Twilight books are the best to read on a rainy cold day. Thank you for this. ❤😊

My mom is a HUGE fan of Twilight, she has the same book and a couple other ones, I’ve personally never seen any of the movies but they never looked bad from what I would see when my mom watched them. But this was very relaxing!!

As a guy who watched the Twilight series at 25, the 1st movie is the most fun ive had in a while xP Its like "how people do not act in real life" - guide. But its still sooooo goofy fun :D
I completely agree that young woman and girls are definitely targeting for liking things or even having hobbies. It so horrible and unfair. Although I will say that now a days I honestly don’t see a lot of that hate towards the series, luckily I think it died down a bit. I was extremely young when people around me started talking about it tho so I don’t have much to truly compare to. Their is definitely still a lot of hate but honestly its totally justified because of the moral standpoint of glorify the “toxic mysterious bad boy” stuff to such a young audience, but that (and criticism of the author’s choices) I don’t see/hear much unreasonable “Ewwwws”😂❤
I totally agree, I just gonna comment something like this. There is something to be said about society’s shaming of girls and women for what they enjoy but Twilight that’s a different beast cuz it definitely glorifies toxicity and abuse and Im glad people are continuing to call it out for that. I still like it for what it is though and I’m loving this series!
I visited Forks Washington where they filmed Twilight, it was raining there too. (which is normal in the PNW) They even had a vampire themed burger joint in town :)
I read the Twilight saga back in 2010-2011, when I was 28 years old. I’ll always have a soft spot for the first book, it was such a cozy read for me at that time.
I had fun watching the movies and just recently started reading the first book. Like it as well so far. And I am a 33 year old dude. Hell I am a sucker for cheesy kdramas or shows like the OC, gossip girl, started vampire diaries recently too. So I am immune to the cringy parts of this series.😂

I never personally read this, but I remember once I asked my mother for book recommendations, and she said twighlight. Pleeeeease keep in mind I was maaaybe 9 at the time. 😅
Twilight definitely isn’t good per se but you’re absolutely right that a lot of things that are often used at punching bags are rooted in misogyny. Look at Fifty Shades: they’re bad (imo) but they’re not the worst novels to ever grace the best sellers list, and so much of the hate directed at them is effectively just making fun of women for enjoying them as erotica.
