Where do you like to sit? We are 3 adults traveling from Troy MI to Topeka KS.
Any do's & don't's you can share?
We are traveling with 1 backpack each & 2 small collapsible coolers, we can keep them with us Correct?

Yes, you can keep what you carry on with you. When you get on you are sitting in a car that the conductor guides you to, based on where you are going. In this instance that would be Chicago, until you change trains. You can walk to other cars, but once you sit down the conductor put a small note above your seat reminding him where you are getting off. Have a great trip!

The station has new hours since you made this. It's now open during all hours except 2 am to 5 am. I assume you know this, but this is for anyone in the comments who wants to know that the hours are different now.
