Just got a Ripmo AF with the Deore build. Also have the Marzocchi Z1 coil but I’ve read good things about it. Finishing the build and can’t wait to get it out on the trail.

Ditch the coil fork. Its auper heavy. I got a lyrik ultimate and this thing destroys both up and down.

I have a ripmo AF and if u are more enduro guy or bike park guy the travel of the bike isnt good any way, i have cascade link and 5 tokens in rear shock and i use full rear travel in every descent its a real good TRAIL bike not enduro bike

Hey Gus, If your blowing through your travel and having to add that many tokens in the DVO Diamond or Onyx, Something is wrong with your set up. I ride Pisgah, Arizona, New Mexico and I don’t have a problem with the suspension. I had it set up and tuned at Squatch Bikes and it rides great. Have your bike mechanic take a look at your set up. If you’re not over 250 lbs. you shouldn’t have a problem.

Hi, thanks for the overview. How well would you say the Ripmo AF pedals uphill vs. similar bikes. Cheers. Much pedal bob?

The DW suspension design is supposed to be a very efficient pedaler. It should pedal better than bikes if similar travel, but a short travel might take the edge. I haven’t ridden one just going off of all I’ve researched, currently saving for my Ripmo af.

The IBIS Ripmo AF or carbon version are exceptional climbers. The combination of the DVO shock the SRAM Eagle gear ( I’ve upgraded to the GX cassette and GX AXS System on this bike) and the overall geometry have made this bike a bit of a legend in terms of climbing. To be honest, i think its awesome that the bike climbs great but the real magic happens when you point this bike downhill. I’ve ridden a number os bikes that would be considered a competitor to the Ripmo and I would say from my personal experience, none are quite as good as the Ripmo.
