Beautiful Historical Canal and wonderful memories of Jasper. Our Hairy kids can always be remembered in these films/pictures. Thank you for sharing. ❤💙👍🏼🙏🏻🌈🐶🐾
Great video thanks i used to collect milk churns on the Fosse Way in Leicestershire before i came to USA in 1972 so it was interesting to be on the Fosse Dyke canal also built by the Romans I enjoy your vlogs peaceful and relaxing with good music have great time with family and friends in Lincoln. Take care Ed 40 S of Vegas
Was that the A46 Lincoln to Bristol road? I used to go down it with my dad in his lorry in the 1970`s. Used to be straight then. It`s got all curves in it now. The Roman`s would be turning in their graves.
@@EdSmith-wb6lx I live next to the FossDyke in Saxilby but I`m from Lincoln( North Hykeham). My granddad`s haulage firm used to transport boilers from Robey`s back in the 1970`s. I`ve worked in loads of Lincoln factories. Marconi, Ruston, Geogre Fishers and now I work at Smith Clayton Forge. It`s called Bifrangi now and owned by Italians. Still making massive crankshafts going all over the world.
A very lovely vlog! I very much enjoyed the music and the stunning scenery. All i could say was wow when you showed the front of the cathedral. Great shot😁 well take care and see you on your next vlog.🦜🥃🏴☠️
Glad you enjoyed it Steve! I’ve almost finished editing the next vlog with our walk around Lincoln and the stunning cathedral. It’s one our favourite cities we have visited 😊
Amazing guys, someone who thinks there's another part of the country other than the gollie, shoppie and the grand Union, I'm not saying I don't like them, it just seems that the majority of vlogers go round in circles, Norfolk is a wonderful place and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your vlogs 👍👍❤
We absolutely loved our time in Lincolnshire, Pete’s home county, and our adventures on the River Trent and Witham! We have the Macclesfield, Park Forest and River Soar coming up on the next couple of months’ videos. The middle levels are also on our list! And we are thinking we may head on the Kennet and Avon this year too. Perhaps. Our plans are always vague at best! I think due to the low water levels and excessive stoppages so many were forced into canals that they could get to and were open so a lot of us ended up on the Llangollen last winter. Thanks for watching 😊
My house at 11.00 (white one). You can moor outside using the post for a day or so. No one says anything down here. I fix starter motors and alternators if you have any trouble.
Lovely old canal. Was wondering what the plate of food was? Nothing like that over here in the Midwest. BTW a 'warm' 48F today - compared to last 2 weeks of ice and snow it was fantastic today. Drove with the window down with heat on for a bit. Hope the puppies / family and you are doing well. Take care - Be Safe and God Bless
We are looking forward to some warmer temperatures over here Tom, although we have snow in the forecast this week! At least we can feel warmer watching our summer memories. This next video that I’m editing has the crazy heatwave that we experienced with temperatures in the 100sF. Unheard of in the UK usually 😊
@@onedaymoreaboard 100's can happen here during the summer. 80's / 90s are the norm though. Question - what was the lunch (last video?) with the egg in the middle of it. Don't have them over here. Take care - have a safe trip
Sorry about the audio Dale. This was all filmed on my iPhone with no external mic which is not great on windy days with the engine noise too. We are currently looking at getting some lapel mics for better sound quality. Thanks for watching 😊
It would be really really really helpful if you could use mics when speaking. Can't hear you an it's sad. Look up Foxes Afloat old vlogs they list what they used.
Hi Becky, sorry about the audio quality on this video. It’s really hard to get right using only an iPhone, especially with wind and engine noise to contend with. We do the best we can with the equipment we have available and have been researching lapel mics to improve our sound quality. Unfortunately we don’t have the budget to afford all of the top of the range equipment that the Foxes use (the lapel mics alone are almost £300). Thanks for watching 😊
We said exactly the same! We often marvel at the history of the canal network as we are passing through locks and bridges, but the Fossdyke has a history all of its own. Thanks for watching 😊
Just watched this video again 😊 so calming and so peaceful. Poor little Jasper 😢
This is a beautiful section to cruise
It really was a beautiful area. I’m so glad we have these memories of Jasper to look back on enjoying his life as a boat dog ❤️

I wonder if the Romans thought that 2.000 years later, their canal would still be being maintained and used as intended.
