I wasn't expecting that much inside. The layout is fantastic, every area is plenty big enough. She is certainly a little gem. Thank you for bringing this one to us Nick
What a Gem ! The layout is one of the best I've seen for this sort of boat and a bit if a Tardis inside . Beautifully proportioned and beautifully finished . I particularly like the forward position of the master cabin .Thats good thinking . Thanks for the tour Nick !
It was me asked you about reversing a jet powered boat. Thanks for remembering and now I've seen the buckets and helm controls very well explained my curiosity is satisfied. Cheers.
We just upgraded our first boat (2009 Fletcher 19gts 4.3mpi) to a 2016 Jeanneau leader 8 azure with the Volvo D4 260 (190hrs) this week! And it is entirely your fault Nick! Watching smugglers blues and then your review on the leader 8 made us realise a leader 805 or preferably an 8 was the absolute dream and perfect boat for us. Took over a year to find one, they seem so popular, we luckily came across this one before it was advertised and it’s only a 1 owner boat, brand new canopies and just had a major service of engine and leg. Deposit paid and sea trial tomorrow, it will be delivered to our marina in around a months time and we just can not wait! All aboard.
I have seen this 'little ship' before. She is a serious craft, and you can see the sort of use she has had with Royal Offshore Racing club and British PowerBoat Racing club on her stern. Years ago (1970's) I had a sports boat with twin Castoldi jet drives.....fantastic. No propellors to foul/damage, will run in very shallow water, and will literally turn in its own length. This is a really nice (serious) boat Nick.
That is a lot of boat for the price of a small semi-detached house! Very impressive, and for a boat nearly 20 years old, looks like its in pretty good shape!
A lovely example of something "a bit different". Like some of your other viewers Nick I do enjoy the more unusual and seeing different layouts because, lets face it, you could guess the layout of 90% of the production yachts in any harbour simply because so many follow the same pattern/layout. Whatever is popular at the time is how they all look but the older brokerage boats tend to have more individual designs and layouts. Of course Nick, you could tour a cardboard box and make it sound interesting such is your skill and devotion to your subscribers (Which I proudly declare I am one of the many) so thank you once again for your time and energy in providing us with another excellent tour.
This maybe a small 18 metre boat, but wow Nick, the boat builders of this model have managed to pack everything into this water gem for a family who just want to have quality time on the waters/seas, with some nice interior and exterior boat features!!!
Impressive boat. Well laid out, plenty of space, engine room that you can move about in, decent enough performance and range. Plenty to like. Depending on the surveyors report, this could make a really good buy for someone. Thanks Nick.
Love it! Considering it’s just less than 20 years old, it is in great condition and the layout is still practical in the modern day. Lovely tour as always thanks Nick!
This is fantastic, it really is. I love the layout. How they've managed to fit everything inside is just wizardry. If ever I did have a boat this would be it. Thanks so much Nick. Nice one.
Nicely laid out boat with great accommodations. Would be a fun boat to explore the Great Lakes with as the jet drives would allow this boat to get into areas that conventional drive boats would have to avoid. Thanks for another great tour Nick!
When you start with ‘they mainly build commercial’ I always expect something a little different and very solid. You’ve certainly delivered - looks a bit like a big Broom, but jet drives, forward master and more made it very different. Great boat, and for a boat nearly two decades old, it’s in great condition. Wonderful tour as always, thank you!
Lot's of space, great for a family and whoever does the cooking would love this boat. Love the water jets too , no need to worry about hitting underwater stuff like logs or fishing nets that you didn't see, also safe for swimmers that get too close when your moving along. Thanks for the tour Nick , really like this boat.
You might have to worry about sucking net ropes into the jet pumps if you run over one. I've seen it done with ski ropes. I once towed in a jet boat that had done that, watching while the owner pulled 75 feet of rope out of the pump access cover in six-inch pieces.
Another Tardis yacht, I cannot believe how much is inside, it does not look that big from outside. I love the layout and for its age everything looks in great condition, all in all a beautiful yacht. Great find and another great tour Nick thank you.
Easily one of the coolest classics on this channel. Very well thought out layout, timeless design. And very good price for what You get. If I had money... damn...
Hi, Yes first look this , just the job for a summer live aboard , sail off in April , may be back in, when the clocks go back 🤔Nice one Nick and have a great 2023 .😀
Just immaculate. It gladdens the heart to see a boat like this so well maintained. Lovely classy interior, I much prefer the old fashioned wood to modern materials. It's a fab boat! Light and airy.
I just watched a USCG video on a cutter, they went in great detail about the jets... Great vessel, love off shores 👍 great work Nick...the layout of this is amazing, already this year's favorite 👏
Nice find Nick!.Thats a really nice compact but very roomy boat. The company made commercial boats as you mentioned. Theres another company in Co. Cork, making commercial / Pilot and patrol craft called Safe Haven Marine. I found a link on the sea trial of one of their pilot cutters and I was astounded at the punishment the boat went through prior to delivery. Some of the boats use water jet I believe. Their boat "Thunder Child 2"'s voyage to Greenland via Iceland is brilliant and the scenery unbelievable. Killybegs in Donegal to Reykjavik in under 32 hours courtesy of Four surface drives. Worth a look. I think Motor Boat & Yachting paid them a visit a few years back.
Thank you for the tour & video Nick - I truly enjoyed it. I wish more boat builders would have layouts like this - simple, understated, and straightforward.
That's one serious ski boat. ;) What a wonderful ship. It's been well refitted so far,and looks in pretty decent shape.I'd be happy to live, and travel aboard. With the jet drives you're allowed into some coral restricted areas, and not have to worry.Thank you for finding it for us.
Have mentioned this on previous videos. I’m always interested in these boats fresh water capacities and if they have the ability to make fresh water. Really enjoy everything you showcase.
Thank you for the tour Nick. This is another unique yacht with an interesting layout from a manufacturer I was not aware of. As people sometimes I say on this side of the pond - That's a lot of boat for the money.
Great boat. I enjoy the variety of boats you provide on your channel. Someone could actually teach their kid a lot about engineering from watching your tours. The difference between ips , shaft and jet driven propulsion alone. Beats the garbage that's on regular television anyday. So does being on the water. Great tour Nick
I can imagine this is what Broom may have come up with if they had continued making boats. Looks like a boat should look! Along with the Broom 450, this is now one of my favorites! Great video as usual - Thank you, Nick.
Nick, I missed this on my feed, looks like a very smart and practical yacht. I could see that being Smuggler Blues IV or Smugglers Blues III. You and Marianne could live the life of Victorian and Rico.
Nice to something so different , looks very solid practical purposeful and well kitted out with everything you (and your significant other ) could need but not not too much bling and frills Thanks Nick really like this one .
An unusual and delightful boat. My only experience of being on a jet-powered boat was on an older boat, and I remember it being incredibly noisy under way.
11:41 "thought we'd run out of mirrors" not just you thought that mate! never have i been so anxious that we wouldn't get our lovely wave at the mirror! luckily you never let us down. nice boat by the way. i could see myself on some scuba diving trips with friends on this boat.
I REALLY like the wood trim in the wheelhouse/aft deck area -- it makes you feel like you're IN the boat immediately even with the semi-open back. I feel like other boats of this type tend to tend to have plain white GRP in this area -- which is fine, but I prefer the more interior feel for a hybrid area like this.
This is a really well-built boat, clever design without being too complicated. Not sure but it seems that it would be one you could live on for extended periods. One wonders if by the type of propulsion (the jests) does this mean less wear, etc. I also like the interior cabinet making - nice detailing. Great tour as always, Nick and thanks.
A really great boat and very well designed. Although you say it's a go anywhere commercial hull with that wheelhouse only enclosed with curtains you couldn't use it in rough weather, or on a cold winter's night. However with only a 200ish mile range that's not what she was built for, you couldn't undertake any journey in her just short trips therfore it has rather limited use.
@@AQUAHOLIC Ocean going sailors wear protective waterproof clothing to protect themselves. As you rightly say the cocpit may not offer much protection but it is designed to get wet, unlike this boats wheelhouse.
Now this is a proper liveaboard, and what's more you can actually take it off-shore and do some serious ocean-going travel. I may have missed it in the video, but I'm very curious what the fuel tank capacity and range are, especially given the different sort of propulsion system. Seems like a cross between an explorer and trawler yacht. Love it.
You had me with that beautiful hull. But the LOCK-IN wsa the Jet Drives. Yet it kept getting better. Someone will be investing in a solid, timeless yacht. Thanks for the tour.
Hats off to the owner/owners looks a really clean well looked after boat, not sure how efficient the jet drives would be compared to regular props, really good interesting boat.
Wow! So much boat with lovely finishes. I’m curious about the efficiency of the jet drives in regard to fuel efficiency. It’s been my thinking that jet drives are not as efficient as prop drives especially considering the pod systems that I am fond of. None the less this vessel offers an amazing amount of accommodations. Once again Nick, thank you for bringing another intriguing yacht tour to your viewers. You are simply the best!
What a lovely boat! It appears to have been nicely upgraded (electronics and appliances are not 2004) and well-maintained. The only place it shows its age is some signs of corrosion and worn paint in the engine room. Great tour as always, Nick! You're the master.
Interesting boat. As it's not overly luxorious as semi-custom boats of that size usually tend to be. Very practical looking fit and finish. Also interesting choice to have a hardtop design instead of an inclosed pilothouse.
2004. But the paint still very glossy and interior and seats etc all in a very good condition. Also a very strong boat. I think a good deal for this price.
I wasn't expecting that much inside. The layout is fantastic, every area is plenty big enough. She is certainly a little gem. Thank you for bringing this one to us Nick
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂

Oh NICE!! I'm very envious, the Leader 8 is a lovely boat. Let me know if you ever want to sell it (seriously). I hope you have a lot of fun with it.
Thank you, I certainly will, it would be great too see you in a leader 8, there’s so little information and videos out there about them.

these lesser-known high quality boats are a real treat. i may have laid out the saloon a bit different but this bruiser is fantastic.

nice to see a boat on the channel that doesnt require a large lottery win to attain.... great looking little gem. love it. 😍😍😍
Great boat, not a model I was familiar with and far more affordable than the super yachts we have been seeing recently. Thank you.

nice tour of a beautiful classic yacht . Thanks Nick.

Leisure boats built by commercial shipbuilders are my favorite boat type on this channel!
This is a great layout from the mid 20th century which is not used enough. Great review!
Hi Nick thanks for showing us around as is now the custom this was a fantastic tour 😊

This is the cooles aft cabin boat I have seen. A ture 'little ship'. Thank you for showing this one Nick!
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
That's the best live aboard layout I've ever seen on a boat under 100ft.
Thank you for the enjoyable tour.
In the market for a boat such as this and your expertise is helpful. Thank you Nick. Enjoy your day.

Again nick you have suprised us with this gem , more of the same ,great price to !
Impressive. A tardise inside. Beautiful interiors and character says it all.
terrific! This is how boats are built! Love it

A masterclass in giving boat tours!.
Good morning from Chicago. Happy Friday, Nick!
Morning Chicago! 😃
Looks like a vessel that has a lot of exploring left in her! Rather lovely! 👍🏻
Excellent tour, what a beautiful yacht!
Thank you very much!
11:40 - YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! Lovely little surprise there, Nick.
The layout is interesting, reminding me of some Linssen boats I've seen before...

What an amazing live onboard boat. A true gem.

One wonders if by the type of propulsion (the jests) does this mean less wear, etc. I also like the interior cabinet making - nice detailing.
Great tour as always, Nick and thanks.
Jets are mechanically less complicated, on top of their other benefits. Downsides are mainly they are less efficient, by quite a bit.
I wish I was ready to buy. I’ve been looking and this is perfect. Hopefully when I am ready there will be one available!!!
A really great boat and very well designed. How do you think people sail around the world in open cockpit sailboats? This has way more protection than they do. 🙂

I'm well impressed with this one! A lot of boat for the price. I wish I had the money to buy it. Yet another great tour Nick!
Very nice boat! Thanks for sharing! Solid construction and shallow draft as well with the jet drives! Very nice!👍👍
Thank you for watching!
@@AQUAHOLIC 👍👍
Lovely live aboard boat. Love it! !
Thats a lovely boat, with a relatively low price. Thanks for the tour😀
Absolutely wonderful, very comfortable yet also something you’d really trust for longer distances.
There's a lot of boat in this one! Love it!!
Great use of space and comfort.
another great review of a fantastic boat, thanks Nick
My pleasure!
I am not normally into pilot based boats but this one is great. Thoughtful design and twin Cats with jets is the way they should all be
