I felt the same way you did after reading A Court of Thorns and Roses… it was my first fantasy read ever and I was like wtf is this and someone told me and I tell this to everyone now who felt the same as me ‘the first book walks so the rest of the series can run’ and that was so true. Stick to it, the rest of the series is incredible. Things will start to make more sense, definitely look at fan art of the characters that helped me a lot. ❤️
If you are new to fantasyworld, i would suggest fourthwing. It’s very light read, and going forward like a train. There is so much relationships drama, that there is not so much room for the fantasy itself, but i think it was a perfect mixture for beginners 😊
6:35 I definitely think that as well, the plot in it was also sooo much weaker than usual? Just let my girl live in peace, she’s already went through so much 😂😭
I also read House Across the Lake last month and I Totally Agree…what the heck?! I hated the twist, it felt cheap - like a cheap literary trick. And the ending was such an eye roll. 🙄 Would not recommend.
