I got as far as Apply Measure Now -> Whole Building -> Space Types but there is nothing listed under Space Types. Was I supposed to download something else other than the OpenStudio Application to get these?
Found the answer: You first need to download them. They don't come with the default installation of the OpenStudio Application. Go to Components & Measures in the menu, select Find Measures. A dialog with title Open BCL will then open. In the dialog, select Whole Building, Space Types in the Categories pane at left, it will list the measures you can download in the right pane. Select them and download them using the buttons and checkboxes in the pane
Im running this on ubuntu 24.04 and i get [SWIG director method error. IOError: not opened for reading when running the createTypicalBuilding downloaded from the BCL if someone encountered this
The problem i am having is that when i click on DOE building template, i dont get any option to select climate type. When i hit apply measure it says climate zone not found.
I tried to repeat this example. My setup is OpenStudio Application 1.8.0, OpenStudio 3.8.0. Fresh setup. Windows 11. Measure has been downloaded from BCL. Unfortunately, running measure I got an error: "SWIG director method error. IOError: not opened for reading" in climate_zone_representative_weather_file_path function. Should I do some extra steps preparing to tutorial or it just does not work in fresh OpenStudio releases?
1:30 Apply measure now does not do anything ... there is no building to look at as in the example. I quadruple checked and I am registered correctly with BCL and used the API key within OpenStudio Application Alpha
I had the same issue; I fixed it by downloading the Measure he selected. Try downloading the Measures by going to Components & Measures -> Find Measures -> Whole Building -> Space Types and select the measure you want.
How do I access the Create DOE Prototype Building measure in the new App? When I follow this, it does not show 21 different Whole Building measures to choose from
