Hey Harstem have you ever considered doing pure StarCraft theory videos? You do a good job of analyzing replays, but very often you will talk about what the optimal move(s) in a scenario would be without having the time to fully explain why.
Started Playing Sc/Bw in 1998 for almost 15yrs. Later i moved on to sc2 for another 5yrs. Im not playing anymore but your Channel always feels like coming home more than any other sc content i found. Thanks Harstem ❤
You should skip the nexus in your natural, and just over saturate your main, use a recall to start mining the forward patch. It's a little more dangerous, but that extra 400 minerals in the bank lets u push even harder.
16:34 with batteries you need to constantly fight, you should always be hitting something exchanging shield for hp and resources. having so much army just stand there majority off the time will be the reason if you lose ^^
18:29 just built some fking photons.. seriously you are SOOOOOO far ahead and yet instead off building a couple photons you built extra stalkers which you don't use because there are too many for you to micro so they basically do nothing, kill like 2 roaches each 30 seconds.. its sad to look at :/
20:12 built some photons where you don't want ambush to come and then focus on NOTHING but micro trading ALL THE TIME, the fact he does a 2 apm bile spam and it makes you FULLY retreat for 5-10 seconds EVERY time, is just lololoz all the way to the bank for him...
20:50 he has nothing but lings and biles; you could basically just a move and pull the wounded unit to recharge shield then a move again and you would properly win... but you give him sooooo much time between each poke that he could literally built a base faster than you take out the 300 minerals in units
15:30 you panicked and then warped in a stalker, your easy solution is, warp in senty, warp in phoenix, blink stalkers in mineral line bottom, move 2 or 1, move blink up command, while then style microing your main army... a sentry also is great for separating the lings and roaches from your stalkers, when blinking etc. Just one or two at most at that point.. but meh... also alterantive, you build a dk shrine while in this mode, so you can exploit a zerg, usually if you are this close to a zerg, they might not have enough detection or even a layer, but since you are in proximity, wapring on converted overlord is agood worthwhile effort, if yo uahve a bunc hof dt.s meh
I have a concept for you harstem, you can't win without having done all the buildings of the race. Like that you have a big economic disadvantage and you will confuse the enemy
when batteries are at 100% energy it also show your not utilizing them at all... might as well not have them if your not going to lose your shield and recharge it fast to push again
22:21 at this point its hard to see bc you only trade when he wants too. but i am pretty sure he must have an extra base. your pressuring so hard for so long and he constantly lose more than you but still have more than you.. send a probe to scout around the entire map for a hidden base. and get more observers to surround his escaped routes, since they cheap and you got WAY too many stalkers which is your only unit to make ^^
9:55 bat start at 50 energy right ? they heal 3 per 1 energy so thats 150 shield, roughly 2 stalkers off dmg. shields are insane on attack pushing, even from the moment they go up the enregy from start is enough to pay their mineral cost back and more. never get why pro players with such high apm dont play shieldbats up front when they push so they can fall back, recharge and either attack or retreat; then bat even works as a slowdown preventing a moves as you pass. even the HP on a battery is worth the 100 minerals..
21:41 honestly your stalker control makes me sad. look at this, all you need is a move then control the disruptors, you can see his entire army comming there, and instead you stop the stalkers from attacking, but leave them at creep ready to die if there was any, then micro the disruptors and first when he fully disengage you move the stalkers; which is WAY WAY too late, at this time is when they should be done killing the base and then blink back.... you barely use your stalkers and you got WAY too many in one group for you to micro properly or at all. so split in two, go in with one when you done and send it back to recharge, move the next group in, as such you optimize their dmg, ontime and pressure, as well as optimize the apm use and you keep a safer base, and lose less to an unforseen ambush... you know better than me what the upper limit off stalkers in a group before micro and efficiency turns crap. so yer, use that number or lower always...
