Any chance a pad roll might bring them more in-line with the Athena; get a more balanced tuning? Thx for all your continued hard work. Always balanced, thorough and knowledgeable. One to trust!
Glad I can be helpful. I'm sure pad rolling can tweak their sound, but I haven't played around with them to find out exactly what pads you'd need. Hopefully the Athenas will be available again soon because that's the quickest path to affordable and excellent sound.
I don't use Apple products so I don't know compatibility in detail, but the Moondrop Dawn Pro ruclips.net/video/GSdQE1Y04K0/видео.htmlsi=ZW8vleXLNOhid5Q_ and Simgot DEW4X ruclips.net/video/fGNSDusIE2k/видео.htmlsi=2wQuD6jgNQH7DTIF are both excellent options.
Thanks for the review. I have a question that only a tech loving professional can answer, and you seem to fit the bill. I have soundcore Q30 and Q35 headphones and would like to upgrade to a higher quality closed back, due to environmental noise, but I'm planning a new pc build and can;t afford the headphone upgrade right now. My question is would a portable headphone amp improve the sound quality of the Soundcores. Thanks for your time. ernie
I don't specifically know the Soundcore headphones, but there's a fair chance that a separate amp could help and there are some great portable options like the Topping NX7. In a worst case scenario, if the amp doesn't help the Soundcores much, it will likely help whatever you upgrade to later.
Amazon US currently has these for half off with a coupon for only $50. Would you say these would be far better than consumer grade headphones under $100? I also now have to figure out a solution to connect these to my iPad mini that I use as a DAP.
Sorry I just had been hearing a lot about a pair that look very similar to these, from Zeos in a lot of his videos, and I wasn’t sure if these are a stand alone so thanks for clearing that up.
"Flat wall of sound" is a good description for most IEMs I have heard, thanks I am going to use that from now on...
Loved the graph that showed the areas of listening level and u showing the equip used
Glad it was helpful! 🙂

At that price, they're a great option!
Are these the headphones that are something to do with Zeos?
