Nice job.. I got same size boat u got..I was wondering if I paint it green first and get a clear flex liquids just like the black colored..paint the new paint and then clear coats over it..will that works .?
I was wondering if it dries to a hard exterior or does it feel rubbery? Also, are you trailering this boat? I’m curious to what the trailer bunks would do to the finish.
I wanted to ask a question. I am doing the same thing to a Jon Boat. I wanted to ask about those Mini Kota trolling motors. I have a Mini Kota Edge trolling motor. About on average how long does a battery last say in hours on these boats?
I use a marine battery for a 30lb thrust trolling motor. Fully charged I get about 5-6 hrs, using any speed. Before I use to use a small car battery, it lasted about 2 hrs
Awesome! Thanks for the response. Do you think one can would work on a 1436? Painting the back and front and bottom like you did. I’d like to try with one can but tempted to order another while I’ve got all the supplies and boat flipped
Very easy, maybe 20 mins. Prep work all I did was wipe debris off with a paper towel. Pretty easy. The boat still stays dry, this was the easiest and best way to stop the leaks. Thanks for watching
Good to know one of the tv "Miracle products " actually works! Looked easy enough to apply too.
Yes, was easy and works great
It certainly looks nice, hope it holds up for you !!
Thanks, seems promising
Glad the flex seal worked! Cool drone shots too 👍
Thank ya kind sir
@@LifeWithKernelLee YW
I did this with my older john boat, only lasted a season then started to seep in again.
@@KirkAllenOutdoorAdventures hmm, mine still good, guess I put a thick coat on
glad it's holding up for you
@@KirkAllenOutdoorAdventures for sure, im kinda surprised its lasted this long
Its been 3 years now, How is it all holding up? have you had to maintenance?
@@IcedDragon420 ive done no maintenance, no leaks
@@LifeWithKernelLeehas it started peeling like others said it would?
@@IcedDragon420 just a little here and there but not much. Still no leak

I bet that would work
No you need to be down to bare metal or product wont stick properly and when scratched will start to peal bond is everything with this stuff
What type and nap of roller did you use
@@justinschmidt9180 just a 6” thin roller

Yes it does have a rubbery feel. I just put it in the bed of my truck or sometimes in my cargo trailer
How’s it holding up now?
Still no leaks
What size was that can you used? Was wondering if I need to get two for my 1436 jon boat
32oz
Any opinion on if the texture increased resistance and slowed the boat at all?
I didnt notice any difference
Scrolled through your videos for a update how well did the flex seal hold up ? Long term
Howdy, still no leaks, really surprised how well it works
@@LifeWithKernelLee started redoing mine found four small cracks used marine jb weld and adding flex seal hope i have good results
@@justjeepin5168 i think that should work, keep me updated
@@LifeWithKernelLee just finished the boat waiting for it to cure I uploaded a short video on here

how is flex seal holding up
Still good
Does it work on boat bottom in salt water?
I dont see why not, but dont know for sure
It only lasts so long once it gets scraped up on the bottom it will start peeling off
👍🏻
It’s been a year since yoh did this is it still holding up nicely j need to flex seal my John boat just want to know if it’s worth it?????
Yes, still no leaks, most definitely worth it
@@LifeWithKernelLee thank you I just got a spray can the other day and sprayed the whole bottom was worried it wasn’t going to hold up
@@markdorr6024 i dont have experience with the spray on, I chose to roll and paint it on to get a little thicker coat. Let me know how it turns out.
@@LifeWithKernelLee that’s why I’m a bit nervous i should have just got the paint can because it was ten dollars more
You could always spray more on trouble spots
That stuff comes off like a bad tan! Sheds everywhere
Hmm, mine hasnt yet
@@LifeWithKernelLee I also keep mine outside upside down… saw another video of a guy doing Bed liner on it might try that
@@TheBradleytv1 yeah mine is upside down as well and outside. I was thinking about that myself
All about bond it needs to be applied to clean bare metal or it peels off
Has it held up?
Yes it has, very pleased, no leaks
What did Donnie Baker just say his name was?
Moonpie
Well that'll do..... lets go fishin and test it out
Lets go
