I cannot thank you enough to showing us this pattern!! I have been looking forever for something like this and still didn't have the confidence to make my own pattern quite yet. I'm going to be making some for my husband and baby girl for this christmas!
Thank you so much for this tutorial!!! I saw this sweater online and I was like OHHHH IT COSTS A LOT…. But why can’t I do it myself?? Even tho I have never knitted!!! So now I’m on my square#7 and so excited when it’ll be finished! Thank you for sharing with us!!!
Thanks for the tutorial! it came at the right time 😄 I'm halfway through with my squares, kinda scared of the joining them all together part 😅 but now i can come back to your video when the time comes to do that )
Impressively concise video for the amount of steps you showed. I've been on and off about making a granny square cardigan/jumper since I first started crocheting. If I do, I will definitely be using this method
Thank you! It’s surprising a very easy thing to make, it’s just soooo time consuming! Can’t recommend making this enough though, I get so many compliments whenever i wear it out :)
Thank you so much for making this pattern and video I’ve been working hard on my squares :) I have a question though! I understand everything about joining the pieces together except when/ how to attach the sides, am I supposed to attach the first/ left side when I reach the top on that row? 🥲🫶🏽
Do you think this can be altered to make this with the middle squares “missing” down the center and maybe an open face hoodie ? And make it a robe? I want a large granny square project to wear to festivals at night :)
omg I’m actually making a lot of granny squares and I was thinking to make a scarf but I think I’m gonna change my mind and doing this crochet sweater🫠 thanks for the tutorial
so excited for this!! i still have one sleeve to do on the raglan jumper you made a tutorial for, and this will be perfect for the scraps from that project
Hi, I have a question. I want to make this jumper without the neck, the neckhole would be a square.. Can you do that or would that be weird (I want the neckhole 2 squares long but I don’t think thats possible lol) im sorry for bad english im dutch I hope you can help meee
I’m starting this project as a gift for my friend for her bday in December!! But I do have a question, when it says attach for either the sleeves or the neck, or the front-back for the body, how do you go about doing that?? Hopefully that makes sense haha
you just continue with the join-as-you-go method that i showed you, but you’re joining the arm/neck that you’re working on, to the blue line on the body. So once you reach the blue line on the arm/neck you’re currently working on, that’s when you connect the arm/neck to the body. I hope that makes sense
Question for you- I’m aiming for a 5.25in square according to my measurements but my 6th row is already measuring at 5.25 so I can’t add a 7th row. Is it okay to just have 5 rows of granny square with the 6th being the joining color (like the brown in your video)??
Excellent work. Stunning project. Thank you for the join as you go tutorial. I’ve always wanted to learn how to do this.
am i about to start this project when i have 3 knitting wips and 2 crochet wips waiting for my to finish them??? perhaps... 🤭
it’s just a few squares really 👀😉
@@averpaula honestly, this has me more excited about crochet and granny squares than i have been in a while 🫶
the amount of work and attention to detail that went into this tutorial is amazing!! 💖

I can’t wait for you to start the joining part, it’s so fun seeing the squares turn into one piece 😍
This is one of the best ideas I've seen! Love it! Thank You for sharing the pattern 🧶❤️😊
Every time you make something I wanna make it! Your color palettes and style inspire me

The join as you go definitely seems to make it more drapey than similar designs I've seen, and the blocking too.
The tutorial i was looking for!! Thank you so much!!!!!❤

@@averpaula it does thank you! I love your videos so much
would it be okay to just crochet the 7th row onto each square and mattress stitch/another variation of joining each together?
Yes of course ☺️

Yes for sure! You can make however many rows for the squares as long as it counts up for your measurments 🥰
Is your square dimension 6x6 inch?
Yes :)
How many squares are there in total?
56 squares
