Why the hell this was never a single is beyond me!
My favourite track from a very underrated album. Been a madness fan for over 40 years and still class them as the best band ever 😎😎😎😎
This is my favourite album of all time. I shared a bedroom with a brother who was a Madness fan, all four walls of our bedroom and the ceiling were covered in their posters. Fortunately, I liked them.
As a kid I remember being annoyed at Madness when they moved away from their early Ska sound. As an adult I realise they just wanted to evolve into a different sound. Turns out that Keep Moving ended up being my favourite album
God I love this album. Madness's later albums were just so much more mature. Still giving me goosebumps in 2022.
Keep moving... Madness' best album
Awesome track! One of their best.
RIP Roger Charlery.... still hoping things will change for the better.
Always thought Chas sung that line, never knew it was Ranking Roger. I can really hear his voice now.
@@katoness Wow, I thought Chas sang it, too. Now the song is ever a little more melancholy.
The reason for the vocal richness on this track which generally isn't on Madness songs to this degree is because the chorus line is sung by the distinctive voices of Dave Wakeling and General Public. Madness is a great band -- but the first time I heard this song I knew they injected lots of new energy into it. One of their very best. The other earlier favorite is "One Step Beyond."
John LaStrada Dave’s got the best voice! So unique and recognizable
Interesting fact I did not know the beat were involved .
Brilliant tune. I first heard it when they played on The Tube in the early 80s. That's a set worth watching, they were on very fine form indeed for that.
ruclips.net/video/sqGGwxFMCfo/видео.html This is the only Tube set I can find but this song isn't included.
Love this song.
yeah Dave Wakeling and Roger Charlery from The Beat are all over this song brilliant
"A burnt out star..." - I remember seeing the video for Special AKA's single Bright Lights which shows the phrase written on a wall. It turns out that it was a part of Soho where many homeless people used to congregate. Always liked how they combine the upbeat and serious moods in one song. Woody's reggae inspired drumming gives the song a lot of bounce.
great tune from one of the greats
Featuring another one of the greats, Dave Wakeling from the beat
just Great!!!!
Brilliant
Chorus always rerminds me to the Beat.
Yes they were also poppy !
@@peterfuzz3887 A few comments below is the reason why. It`s the voice of Dave Wakeling.😏
tune
Fuckin awesome track.
tHIS SOUND IS BETWEEN RAGGAMUFFIN AND PURE SKA; IT SOUNDS LIKE 3SPECIAL BEAT SERVICE3
? it's définiteley british pop
It’s definitely not ska or reggae.
I've heard 3 mixes of this, but still prefer this original version. Would it have charted better than 'One Better Day'? We'll never know...
It should have been a double A side with One Better Day.
@@ZeldaFitz A double A. side would have been perfect 😄.
but One Better Day was also beautiful 😍
NTS: 1:48
I much prefer the 7 edit of this great song, it’s slightly shorter and has more sparkle
al principio no me gustaba
