Michelle kwan's " rachmaninoff " is the best SP in the figure skating history. 💯
The way she interprets music is still unmatched.
Now, THAT’S choreography! 💜
The one and only Michelle Kwan. I'm greatful that I was a figure skating fan during the 90's and early 00's. The sport has changed a lot since then and I just can't find it attractive. Michelle is one of my favorites and this Short Program is spectacular (like Peggy said).
The Gold Standard program! After her stress fracture, she comes back from being off the ice and performs this awesome SP!!! I will always love her grace!
6 years later, I'm still watching her performance. Its as if she's not even trying & she floats, freaking floats across the ice. Just gorgeous.
Records are made for breaking, but her 6.0 record will never be broke
Nobody, and I mean nobody can take their audience inside the arena and those watching around the world to a very special and magical place the way MK do. Thats what makes her special.
Exactamundo, U thread it with a fine needle. Almost 20 years since she left the arena, I've yet to see a skater with her brand of special magic on ice. I absolutely miss her.
❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
She is first class
The best for me
Always my favorite. I saw her skate in person once, and it was magical.
She take us to that beautiful, special place like no other skater. Quite simply, The G.O.A.T.
Gosh, what a program! First time I cried watching skating was this performance right here. Michelle forever. ❤️⛸❤️
BEAUTIFUL SHORT PROGRAM EVER MICHELLE KWAN
OMG, this still gives me goosebumps all these years later (watching in 2023). Incredible!
She should also have won the Olympic gold medal
Tara was so butt-hurt over what had happened that she even got defensive when she was questioned about her entry edges. She still doesn't admit to ever being a flutzer and she never calls out flutzing in her commentary, years later!!
love michelle kwan
ICONIC
I remember this made the front page in the Philly and the surrounding area in the local papers.
A free skate version of this program would have won her the Olympics most likely. Much more dynamic than her long program
I just watched this again after many years. I had honestly forgotten she did the flip for the individual jump, and I'm SO impressed with her here. (By the Olympics, she had switched back to the toe loop playing it safe and setting a precedent for taking no chances at the Olympics.) An overall gorgeous performance.
Michelle got hurt ( her toes ) before the Olympics......
年月がいくら経とうと、この人はフィギュアスケーターとして、No.1✨
私は大好きです❤
I miss the artistry in this sport. COP turned it into a jumping contest.
I miss the 6.0 era. Have stopped paying attention to skating due to the garbage IJS.
breathtaking! figure skating just doesn't get any better than that!
Easily one of her Top 5 short programs of all time !
Listen to the piano chords as she lands her double axel...perfectly timed!
never gets old! awesome!
I love this program. Even better with the triple flip. The toe injury forced her to upgrade the triple toe to the flip jump and she landed it with such EASE. I really miss her and the command she has over the ice.
She should have kept it at the Olympics.
Jose Hill I agree and kept it going forward.
+Troy Turner She was marked down at the Olympics and worlds ever since because the judges knew she could do the flip. I always wished Michelle challenged herself technically as she went on through her career. But she was so special anyway.
@@jjh2456 she combines her elements with an ease and effortlessness that's mind boggling. Its like she's not even trying here!
@@jjh2456 Michelle Kwan was robbed at the 98 Olympics.
Tara's flip and lutz would be called out for under rotation today. Tara's triples were cheap. Tara skated no artistry more than Peter Pan.
Can Watch This Program Always #PERFECTIONONTHEICE Our Michelle Kwan...
They rewarded her for the flip. In subsequent competitions when she switched back to the toe loop, she was marked down.
Lovely, just lovely :)
@2:29. My heart was in my throat. Her very best routine, and the very best performance.
Legendary
She slipped a bit on the flying sit spin and she didn't quite hit the ending pose but overall this is one of her best performances with the flip and the step sequence
The only thing that wasn’t perfect with this program is the position of the layback. Everything else was flawless.
I can image Gracie Gold skating to this music!
+Lauren Brown Many, many people have skated to Rachmoninoff's Piano Concerto No.2.
Yeah, but Michelle Kwan skated to Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 3 and Piano Trio No. 2. Different pieces from Piano Concerto No. 2.
Why should I or anyone listen to a hateful loser like you? I'd feel sorry for someone like you, but I don't. You're not going to ruin something this beautiful and wonderful for anyone. I don't have a lot of hate in my heart like you, You should just go.
