So glad i got this recommended, absolutely incredible work, it's the best HLB cover i've heard without a doubt. And the person who recreated the orchestral break also did a great job, everything is spot on, well done!
Sounds amazing! I have the same guitar. Do you buy your strings as Bass-VI (from Stringjoy) or as regular guitar strings? The ones that came on mine are giant and I think I may swap them to something more like yours
@@latenightskyes how is that guitar btw? The brand kinda seemed sus to me when i saw it at first, it sounds great here, any modifications and such maybe?
Maybe you have more insight on this, but why tune your 2nd string lower than your 3rd string. Unless, it's tuned up a major seventh, instead of down a minor 2nd from the 3rd string, but a major interval there wouldn't lend itself to the HLB sound. Thoughts?
The second string is tuned an octave minus 1 semitone higher than the third string! This means the top 3 strings together create a very dissonant sound, which fits well for the HLB sound. Hope this helped :)
Hey what strings are you using here? I got the same guitar and out of the box the action is soooo high and the strings are super thick, dunno if you have the same issue
@@kodaavkin_music It's a custom set, I cant remember the exact gauges but I tried to mimic Buster Odeholm's string gauges as close as possible, which are listed in the description of all HLB guitar playthroughs :)
the video can sometimes be a bit out of sync with the audio! the video was filmed after the fact, and since i cannot play the exact same thing the exact same way twice there might be small discrepancies :)
Dude this is the best HLB cover I’ve seen yet, awesome man!
thank you so much!

Dude , this is an Amazing cover!!! Can you describe your amp , cabs , EQ, distortion and VST pedals PLEASE!!!! ❤
The guitar tone is just NeuralDSP's Fortin Nameless suite :)

Thank you! I used NeuralDSP Fortin Nameless Suite for this cover
Why did gen4sound only do the thumbnail? Who painted the rest of them? Killer job

Yes! There's lots of pitch shifting throughout this song, I put whatever pitch shifting I could into the tab!
@@latenightskyes oh ok cool thanks. also forgot to say this cover goddamn slams you crushed it

Great cover! Are the drums GGD PIV?

Stringjoy!

@@latenightskyes I've had problems with my 30" scale being too long for the strings 😂 I really just want to make sure it's right this time
nice job, but with a jazzmaster? what the fuck!! 🤣
It's a 30" scale baritone, which is how I'm about to achieve this tuning :)
something is off. sometimes your finger/hand movement doesn't match the music
