Can it Fly? On repeat playthroughs I always just gameshark myself a mew first thing for Strength, Fly, Surf, and Cut (though I don't unlock those until I get the relevant badges later) and then do whatever I want with the rest of my team. (Sometimes I'll do a lapras with surf and keep a spot open for mew to use Dig, instead, if I don't feel like carring Escape Ropes around. Just vibes.) It's just a simple quality of life improvement that makes the game better. (For context, I only ever played Gens 1 and 2, so no idea what HMs are like in whatever gen this one is.)
@Thrillhou Bibarel gets every HM in these games except for Fly and Defog, which means it can learn Cut, Surf, Strength, Rock Smash, Waterfall, and Rock Climb
Here’s why I think the Alakazam conversation happened almost if not exactly the same way again: it’s been over 10 years, but something about it made it deeply attached to their subconsious and waited for the right moment to return.
I have been serious bed rotting and going through some of the worst mental health bullshit in my life I’ve been replaying the platinum videos just because these have brought me so much joy I actually started crying rewatching this episode just cause it helped me feel something that wasn’t depression in a long while /gen

Yeah, I started noticing that when it dawned on me that Arin has basically abandoned the whole "catch the first pokemon in an area unless it's a dupe or shiny" thing that's common in Nuzlockes. But honestly, if it means they get through it, I don't mind at all.

I agree that it sucks ass, cause now arin is just calling all the pokemon by their normal names and dan doesn’t know what he is talking about. Gone are the days of saying knurt, spunt’d, turntsnaco, etc, and dan and him would both immediately just know the pokemon, which reinforced connection to those pokemon. For that of all things to be lost in a nuzlocke I feel is gonna make it really shitty and less engaging in the long run. Just in terms of their connection to the pokemon, not saying the series will blow ass or anything close to it. Just a bit of a downgrade in potential

I also started a plat nuz to play along with them and specifically used the UPRandomizer to make trade evos evolve naturally bc the whole point of a nuzlocke is using Pokémon you wouldn't normally use
@infernape494 the best part of this is they didn't have to restart two of those times. Even in the strictest Nuzlocke rule set, the run doesn't officially start UNTIL YOU HAVE POKÉBALLS. You're allowed to lose the rival battle and continue, no one can die until you're able to catch replacements! 😂

I agree that it sucks ass, cause now arin is just calling all the pokemon by their normal names and dan doesn’t know what he is talking about. Gone are the days of saying knurt, spunt’d, turntsnaco, etc, and dan and him would both immediately just know the pokemon, which reinforced connection to those pokemon.
For that of all things to be lost in a nuzlocke I feel is gonna make it really shitty and less engaging in the long run. Just in terms of their connection to the pokemon, not saying the series will blow ass or anything close to it. Just a bit of a downgrade in potential

@Suprobro I can’t standddd the naming scheme for this one. It was a little funny the first two to three names at first but then it kept going and like “alright this is a little ridiculous now”

I honestly forgot how many pokemon you can get early on that need to be traded to get it's final evolution. It just reminds me I was grateful to have a sister who also would pokemon too.
I also started a plat nuz to play along with them and specifically used the UPRandomizer to make trade evos evolve naturally bc the whole point of a nuzlocke is using Pokémon you wouldn't normally use

@infernape494 the best part of this is they didn't have to restart two of those times. Even in the strictest Nuzlocke rule set, the run doesn't officially start UNTIL YOU HAVE POKÉBALLS. You're allowed to lose the rival battle and continue, no one can die until you're able to catch replacements! 😂
