My favorite Twilight Zone quote is from that episode: “A man will walk right into hell with eyes wide open, but the devil himself can’t fool a dog”
Best quote 👍
True
A whole lot of truth in that statement!
That is a very wise quote! ☺
The most amazing statement… perfection
“Me and you, stay together.”
Our sole promise to our beloved pets. One of the most beautiful episodes of the Twilight Zone, ever.
It was so simple but it brought TEARS to my eyes
Love the line, "You and me stays together, just like we was when we were traveling down below." Just like me and my dogs.
For anyone who might be interested, the writer of this episode, Earl Hamner (Jr), went on to create “The Waltons”.
Hunicutt was a fantastic actor.. My fav episode
He could play any part good on westerns
Liked the Bonanza Episode with his dog Walter
I saw him in an episode of "The Rifleman" (no dog, however) and an episode of "The Andy Griffith Show" in which he's absolutely hilarious with another old man in a "Hatfields versus McCoys" predicament.
Had Pretty Beagle on Andy Griffin
This episode feels like a love letter to Dogs and their bond with their family
The Dog allowed man the luxury of sleeping through the night without fear.
It’s deeper than that as well ❤
"A man will walk into Hell with both eyes open, but even the Devil can't fool a dog." -how about that for writing!🥰🤣
If my cats, dogs, and opossums aren't there, I'd be content on just waiting, too.
For anyone who has ever loved a Dog.............
And for anyone who hasn't loved a dog you don't know what you're missing
🥰
This is one of the best episodes ever!!
It gives an especially new meaning to how a dog is man's best friend. 🐕
Yes!💕
I love this episode, one my favorites. Arthur Hunnicut and Jeanette Nolan were the perfect pairing. I always shed a tear or two when I watch this episode. It is so wholesome and good. Times of days gone by.. Times we need to cherish 😊
Amen.
Can't stop thinking about my dad, I hope his up there 😢
Love this episode,very touching
Don't you worry he's there and he's watching over you
I am glad that through U tube and such the young folks can see how good television was when I was young.
Absolutely. I’m only 18 but grew up watching this show with my old man. This episode still makes me teary eyed
@TGsports_Free2watch Haha, my dad is the one who introduced me to the Twilight Zone too
This is one of the most favorite episodes of The Twilight Zone! Thank you for this colorized version!👏👍
A touching episode.
"There's one right after the square dancing." This would be my heaven 😊
What did he say just before that?
He said "hows the coon hunting up here" @@rachkate76
This is one of my favourite episodes. you couldn't capture a program like these days, kt's a bygone era
Such a Sweet Episode!
This episode always gets to me.
If my pets can't go neither will I.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This episode is incredible. Another One of my favs and seeing it colorized just enhances the experience and makes me even more emotional 😢❤
Wonderful episode. Love it so much!!!
Did anyone catch on that the dog’s name, Rip, can also be read as R.I.P.?
So glad my contacts aren't in yet. Someone is peeling onions and they had just better stop!! ❤
Far better in B&W!
His suit turned purple for a second there.
If they were to be in color, they would have been made that way from the beginning. It was a choice to use B&W, color TV did exist (since 1954) when these were first run.
Damned, got to the end and something got in my eye...
Such a peaceful and nature relaxing episode. I even love dogs including Hyder Simpson’s dog, Rip.
They truly look like angels
I love this episode
So perfect
Rip sure is beautiful in color...
This was always my personal favorite episode. I always think of my mom when I see this episode, she used to call me even at 3am when she saw this episode was on TV during the annual marathons they would have on tv during the holidays. Her favorite episode was The Midnight Sun and Id call her when Id see that one come on too.
❤
I hope and pray when we all reach heaven that it's something as familiar as an old back road we all grew up traveling on Amen
That was a great episode one of my favorites!
This and the Midnight Sun, my top two.
My fav episode. Can’t leave the dogs behind
One of my favorites
I need the full episode in color!!❤
First twilight zone in color i seen
Anytime I question my faith I just need to watch this movie right here.
Ps, if dogs ain't allowed in heaven I ain't going.
My favorite
Colorized movies are nice sometimes but I prefer black and white for this one and it is one of my favorite zone videos. I have the entire set and all of Outer Limits too.
Not from this clip but from the ep that destroys me.
"Have a little care"
"It's just a dog"
"Not to some people"
You're right. In fact, that whole scene is very good.
"Why didn't you say you lost a dog? How'd it happen?"
He expresses the loss of a dog as being just as sad and significant an event as the loss of a human.
Aww 🥰
Godbless
what a set
Come along rip.😊😊😊
I was moved by this episode as a kid not even in his teens so fascinated by heartwarming stories found in fairy tale books read to us by our kindergarten and early grade school by one of the most loving women of the community who loved we kids with all her heart. We could come up to her and tell her anything and she would just grant us all the beingness that could ever exist. That woman's love has stuck with me why whole life. A Christian woman. This tale here is utterly Christian morality play. It's OK to be brought to tears as this episode did all those many years ago.
Hey thats quite impressive! What tools do you use to remaster?
He was also in two bonanza episodes with his great hound dog.
He was in an episode of "The Rifleman" too. And "The Andy Griffith Show" too, and was absolutely hilarious in that because he and another old man were in a "Hatfields versus McCoys" situation, fighting a duel!
Would love to see full episodes colorized
I thought i saw every episode and i dont recall this one
Mr. Simpson looks like Van Gogh
I'm happy he was Welcomed into his Heaven 😊 I'm not sure what mine will be , but it will be a place of Wonder
Arthur hunnicutt and old rep
JEREMIAH 32:27 🐶
PROVERBS 12:10🐱
I bet they take cats! JK, I have always had a cat or two round the house.
Doesn't seem much like heaven if rips not aloud
Guys, do NOT eat a tab and watch this video after
This is my favorite Twilight Zone episode, but I always think it's kind of weird that the old man is happy is wife is gonna die soon. Sure they're gonna be together in Heaven, but she's gonna die of sadness really soon, and he's glad about it!
Yes, kinda strange that he's happy about it, but whatever.
lol i never realized before that danny bonaduce looks like that guy...like.. he could be his son
A dog is man's best friend, they lie next to him. Not to him!
Hopefully my ol’ dog 🐕 Sox is waiting for me 😢
"Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together."

@@DavidLS1 love this!!!!!!
I'm guessing that it's not colorized by a company named Technicolor.
😂😂
This is the final story in the Maharabhata.
Mahabharata 😊
What is it
When will it be done?
Uff please leave it as intended black and white.
Romans 10:9-10 KJV That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth that Jesus is Lord and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead- Thou shalt be saved! Rapture of the Church is imminent!
Amen God Bless you and your family 🙏
6-2-2024. Good episode but not accurate by what Scriptures teach.
I think it would be better if they would use automated and manual colorization frame-by-frame!
I agree.
I've seen colorized historical black and white videos of the 1920s.
The colorization isn't a bad idea but you got to put the effort in it. It's like just throwing paint on a canvass and expecting it to be the Mona Lisa.
Most of these colorized versions are just saturated with too much color.
It just doesn't look good.
Unless they take the time to do each frame I would rather see a black and white in 4k than worry about coloring it.
All the technology and this is the best coloring they can do??? Terrible!!
it's such a silly goofy belief
Just a thought, Trump never had any pets! I wonder why!!!
The afterlife seems awfully inefficient and understaffed. Just a big long road that has the entrance to hell completely unmarked, and quite a bit ahead of heaven. God is a really hands off kinda deity. Post a few guards at the entrance to Hell to warn the newly dead? Nah, when someone dies we'll wait a bit, then send an angel ambling down the road and see if he can find him. The DMV does it's job better.
But if it was easy, all the freeloaders would find it.
@@bentonrpfree loaders 😂😮😂😂
This is how Satan tricks people into thinking there are many ways into Heaven. A dog won't help you get there or in. Only Jesus Christ can do that. Read the gospel of Matthew. There is the truth.
I'll trust my dog, thanks
I loved this one I wouldn't want to enter either with out my beautiful little dog named
Boots I love boots so much.
Does this mean anyone who's dying should take their perfectly fine family dog with them? 🫣
No, it certainly does not mean that.
