Been working slowly with my old Remington book on tongue placement and lightness. Single tongue speed has never been my forte or even my mezzo forte. Good video. (As always)

I tend to have a pretty thick tongue myself; it's helped me quite a bit to think more about my airflow and try to use as little tongue as possible. Also, depending on what horn and range it sometimes helps me to not think so front-heavy with the articulation (hard toh;) sometimes I find a less harsh syllable gets the point across easier...

You mentioned technical etudes in this video. Any thought of doing a video on "suggested" technical etudes for beginning, intermediate, and advanced trombonists/tubists (tubaists??)? Great video as always. By the way, you must be practicing more than usual. I am hearing a big improvement (did not think it was possible at your level) in your sound on these videos. Keep playing!

Thank you for the suggestion (and for watching!). I am getting more playing time in (due to doing more videos lately as much as anything else) and I just try to at least not lose anything one day to the next (not always successfully!). Thanks!
