Because he's a liar and changes the words and context of the Christian religion for the purpose of growing his business. That's what he and people like him do. This is business model, not a Bible model. Unfortunately most Christians have no clue what they are talking about and they just go along for the ride looking for preachers who will say what they want to hear. Also, I used to attend his church and when he began intentionally lying on stage, no one cared. As long as they got their rock 'n roll Jesus every Sunday, they were happy. I've felt like that before at a Christian group of people and tried to tell others many times about how they truly were, but no one really cared and it just ended up making me look bad. No one should take any preachers word for word and stay there, but need to go back to the scripture and try to get to the depth.

I agree in principle. However, it can become a human driven agenda. I still feel exegetical teaching is preferable as it diversifies what you are teaching on. For all letters and narratives it shows the reader or audience the progression of the author's (and God's) thoughts.

If Andy were my friend, and he’s helped me through many life situations like a friend would... I’d have to stand up for him. It seems your comment was meant to be mean in nature and provoking, not meant to build up other believers. Not in a mean way or hopefully not offensive to you but...if Andy gave advise from the “Tree of Good and Evil,” he would be teaching us to decipher our own versions of right and wrong. And choose our own way out of our own knowledge. He is in fact not doing that. He is encouraging us, through scripture, to follow Jesus in our decision making. You see, Jesus' gave his followers a new command "to love one another". Also, in Acts 6, didn't the disciples gather together to appoint the 7 to handle the daily distribution of food to the needy. I've felt like that before at a Christian group of people and tried to tell others many times about how they truly were, but no one really cared and it just ended up making me look bad. I was raised American Christian and I totally agree with you on many points. I hate the games and lies too. But I guess I don't care enough about people who don't do things my particular way. There are too many of those people out there... so I just let them do their thing and if it helps some people, cool... and if it doesn't oh well. I have been recently watching his sermons and I find him highly articulate and does present the message with lots of enthusiasm. No one should take any preachers word for word and stay there, but need to go back to the scripture and try to get to the depth.

I agree in principle. However, it can become a human driven agenda. I still feel exegetical teaching is preferable as it diversifies what you are teaching on. For all letters and narratives it shows the reader or audience the progression of the author's (and God's) thoughts.

Andy "Dr Phil" Stanley gives good advise from the "Tree of Good and Evil" but where is the Christ he says he loves? He apologies for any half way use of scripture and tells us get get over it. If Andy were my friend, and he’s helped me through many life situations like a friend would... I’d have to stand up for him. It seems your comment was meant to be mean in nature and provoking, not meant to build up other believers. Not in a mean way or hopefully not offensive to you but...if Andy gave advise from the “Tree of Good and Evil,” he would be teaching us to decipher our own versions of right and wrong. And choose our own way out of our own knowledge. He is in fact not doing that. He is encouraging us, through scripture, to follow Jesus in our decision making.
I also don’t see him using half scriptures either... and I’m sure that’s not his intention to come across that way.
I think he is teaching us to apply scripture so that we can walk by faith... which is really helpful as a Christian to be encouraged to live /Walk our our faith.

Instead of dealing with the people who actually attend the church and maturing their walk, he's more concerned with "MORE PEOPLE, MORE PEOPLE, MORE PEOPLE"!

Also, in Acts 6, didn't the disciples gather together to appoint the 7 to handle the daily distribution of food to the needy. "It would not be right for us to neglect the minister of the word of God in order to wait on tables." - Acts 6:2b.
