You missed a great oportunity here. Mezcal market is growing around the world, and it can be more complex than Tequila. The distillery of this spirit is handcrafted in some places. I expect that you make a part 2 video exploring Mezcal
Fun fact: Mezcal, tequila’s cousin was the original “moonshine”. The maguey piñas were roasted in pits in spanish colonial times. The reason for this is that they could avoid exorbitant taxation by burying their evidence in case the authorities passed by the hacienda.
Misinformation spreads ignorance, and ignorant people spew that as facts. That’s why I tell tourist November 5th is England’s independence day. Also, Tequila can only be produced in very limited regions in Mexico, unlike its counterpart Mezcal. Hopefully Matt had a chance to drink some Púlque, which is also an agave product.
The only reason you'll find a worm in mezcal and not in tequila is because it's allowed by the Mexican standards authority (SdS - NOM), but not because it does anything to it (except perhaps muddy the bottle). It's not just a gimmick -- it's how you can tell who's a gullible tourist and who's not.
I only ever saw a worm swimming around in "Cusano Rojo" Mezcal, or in those lollipops they used to sell at the Haji-mart... It's just a gimmick... Never will you find worms in tequila.
Did this guy seriously not know that mezcal has the worm and not tequila? Smh that's pretty pathetic. I am in no way a tequila expert but I definitely knew that tequila has never had a worm in it.
Next Episode:
"Just why do Donuts have holes in 'em?"
Narrator: "to figure that out, we traveled to Saturn!"

No, please dont tell people
I work at grocery store, these mezcals we sell are CHEAP and FANTASTIC!
I think I've heard of that. Aint it more of a beer type drink made from the blue agave.
The agave farmer is a man of few words. No amount of charm worked on him😁
When he poked the wooden door i lol'd.
I don't know who told you that ?
Nobody thinks that Tequila has any worms 😂
A lot of people think tequila has a worm.
The Mezcalero knows it doesn't.
What would a indian know apart from cricket

Tequila no, Mezcal yes.
or maybe it was a way for the agave farmers to get a little payback on them little worms haha
They also use the worms for a taco filling.

More than 10 years to grow the agave and then age the tequila. Definitely not a short term investment.
Going Mexico for research on tequila is a dream come true
If that was in the United States Johnn Deer would make a harvester for that
Jalisco is not a “region”. It is a state.
Tequila and mezcal are two different animals.
"Tequiler in Mexico" she said? Do people in England know there is no R at the end of tequila?
Wow not a mask in sight. How old is this episode?
Nice, ain't it?

For those of us who drink only Mescal, the worm is not a gimmick. It is part of the psychotropic effect of the liquor.
Please stop the terrible helpline bit.
That is the shows identity
They've run it for so long that at this point, why not. Till the end.
It's cool
You heard it here first
You know how many worms i have cleaned up in the restroom of the club i work at ?
