@hawkshot867 trust me I wish it was different, I really really clung to hope for a long time, but in the end I just didn't had fun anymore and I only logged to farm whatever new currency there was to get transmogs and mounts I'll never used
Yo what up gooner just dropping you a line to say the team that makes that shop stuff ain’t the same team that does bug fixing and QA anyway maybe u gotta reign it in young goon cause can’t be slippin like a sloppy slipper ahhaaa you know what I mean bro anyway ya boy meatlogic just dropping you young goons a line cause I ain’t wantin no knuckleheads being out there repping the brand haha peace brother maybe read a book just kidding bro goon out
exactly... its just Greed, how much money do they want, we pay for the Game (latest expansion- whatever) we pay a sub AND theres a cash shop with cosmetics and services like Race Change and they added a new currency for Housing to sell shit, They want it all ways....
Ive done housing in many games. This is absolutely no different. IMO, Blizzard has been very generous with the baseline "in game" stuff compared to some. Im not surprised at all at absurd costs on single items.
@TheWeakMinded the problem is the sliding scale to full mtx whereas we "majority" thought the whole point of a monthly sub was to support development costs rendering the mtx plague moot, this is just greed and in line with M$ agressive MTX stance that made Activision look shy
I’m convinced now that blizzard is slowly squeezing this game because it’s dying. And theyre doing a slow squeeze to get the last remaining of the audience. Quit. The. Game.
I am absolutely disgusted with the Housing Shop. It is EXACTLY what we were concerned about when they announced it, but I never thought that they would show their true colors so soon... I will not only not buy anything from the shop, I am never buying another mount, pet, or outfit from the shop either. Hopefully enough other people do the same so that it sends some type of message they will actually listen to.
The 750 tree going down to 250 is a classic negotiation tactic. You start high, and get the customer all riled up, then you go down, suddenly, you seem so much more reasonable, even when $2.50 for a virtual tree that you can only place down once is a ridiculous price. I don't buy that they didn't do this on purpose. :/
@Thundernoob98meanwhile we lose the artists and stuff that gave us cinematics like bfa etc. the cinematics have been so ass In quality since shadowlands beyond
I find it ridiculous we have to purchase a subscription, an expansion at full market price and have virtual currency. Yet Blizzard 'can't afford' to support in-game GMs...
Wait till you need a subscription cloud gaming service to even play these games. Cause that is coming, if people think this RAM shortage is from AI they got another thing coming. These Corpos are just using AI as a scrap goat to kill PCs and Consoles so you have to Sub to them to game. They did it with physical games now they are doing it with physical hardware. I swear they trying to speedrun Cyberpunk.
The pricing is just criminal. $10 for the entire set would have been plenty. But they really should have been available to be earned in game from the easter event or trading post.
As soon as the "newness" of the housing stuff has passed, they'll put the shop decor on the trading post just like they did with shop mounts, pets, etc.
There are many several quests with bugs, mostly in map. They send you to travel to Orgrimmar or stuff like that. I think the map ingame sometimes thinks that we are in old silvermoon and stuff like that.
Playing since vanilla and Blizz has ALWAYS nickel-n-dimed their customers. $25.00 for a name change, in what amounts to a stored procedure in the database and about 3 seconds of execution time? Over the years of spending, one has to wonder if they should have a seat on the board by now.
I play 1-2 seasons a year since legion and I never understood why name changes or boosts are so expensive. It’s like they punish you for wanting to play current content vs time walk all over again: a boost should be $10-$25 a name change should be $5-$10
@IL_Bgentyl Don't get me wrong. I have no regrets, since I still do love the game, but they have been such a typical story of an American company hyper focused on greed. And now they are purely corporate. Still logging in though. Cheers
Spending any money on anything digital is insane to people in a pre digital age. Everything we are doing now would be insane to those born before this age
I say if people work 12 hour days and want to buy virtual decor on the weekend then let them do what they want. No reason to complain about stuff that doesnt affect you.
Throw back to the Ozzy trailer where the npc went and earned her housing item in the world.... and we the player earn out housing item in the shop. Classic blizzard.
Having decor in the store made me lose all interest in housing, not to forget the thousands of diff currencies in the game itself to get them. Just give me materials to make ALL my decor, and have the recipes locked behind achievements or w.e. The worst feeling is having an idea to build in mind, and having to take a day long trek getting all the decor I would need.
Try farming old expansions for 4 days to get decor just to encounter a bug and not be able to progress on the story anymore and lock the vendors yea it’s great
The thing about the FFXIV trees as well, we were able to earn them in-game during a seasonal event. They were only moved to the Mog Station after the event ended. I think 250 hearthsteel is reasonable pricing for it, but it would def be nice if they did something similar to events where we could earn them in-game, even for a short time
We already have $100 expansions, $14.99 monthly fees, $90 mounts, $25-50 mounts, pets and sets, $30-70 service fees. But, WHAT WE REALLY NEED WAS CURRENCY FOR HOUSING!!! JESUS FUCKING CHRIST WHEN IS ENOUGH, ENOUGH?!
@ImmortalityV it is still expac + sub. Even if you're sub only it adds up over time. Yet in a PAID game they also ask for all this shit? which should be baseline as game is already overpriced as fuck
@zenixvampirchik652 I can easly chose not to buy it. Also i totally ignore the monthly sub because it is the same price as a cinema ticket, which gives you ~2 hours of entertainment compared to 100+ per month of WoW sub.
No you don't understand, Blizzard HAVE to charge these prices for shop items because the monthly sub isn't enough... Or some shit like that that someone tried to tell me on Reddit.
and if you dont pay them their fair ammount over the store, you‘re basically robbing blizzard! then you‘re not better then those private server players!!!!1
The only reason to open the shop is to get rid of that annoying ass blue dot in the bottom right of my screen.. sadly though the damn thing comes back. I was lucky enough to be able to just buy the last 3 or 4 xpacs with gold.. with the idiocy going on in that company they're lucky they even get sub money.
I'm upset. Insane price and an insane amount of bugs. the turnspeed cvar keeps getting randomly set to 100 instead of 180, mounting on my yak puts my camera way too high, auto loot still randomly breaks, and so so many more issues that never get fixed and just pile up. Will this ever change?
No. There are bugs in the game that have been there since at least Legion (the double jump/dash bug for DHs that disconnects you if you land on terrain that's higher or lower than you started on, or the right-click to mount a vehicle - like the mounts at the Argent Tournament - while on a Dragonriding mount automatically disconnecting you, etc, etc, etc), or bugged world quests like the penguin racing WQs in BfA, or the graphical hitching on some chipsets because the devs are too lazy to properly code character LOD, the mishmash of housing items that are sorted correctly while others aren't sorted at all (the profession signs you get for maxing Midnight professions are a great example - some are sorted into Accents -> Wall Hanging items, while others are simply left dumped in the Misc category). Blizzard will never fix any bug if they can avoid it. They aren't about spending money for improving player experience. That's why they fired all their QA staff.
No. Now keep beta testing the game on live until it's semi-playable in the .1 patch for 50% off the expansion. Then they'll break it back to unplayable in paid alpha
If people would stop buying from in-game shops, companies wouldn't have an incentive to put things in the shop. What's insane to me is people continue to complain but no action is ever taken to NOT buy shit from the shop. It's easy to NOT buy things.
But if people want it then they're going to, the people complaining about it arent the customers they want. Blizzard is now catering to whales, the RP and Sims 4 women of WoW who have a lot of time on their hands. You can earn these decorations with gold via wow tokens and converting it to money on your account, but thats way too much.
You have to look on why are people buying these things and it all goes down to mental health issues.. i just bought the expansion to see the promised changes - they butchered resto shaman so bad i think im never going back they lost me for good this time and i don't really care tbh they treat us like garbage.
If they were to keep the in game shop but drop the subscription I would consider paying now and then. Similar to GW2. The story is too atrocious to justify a subscription imo.
Oh that Zul'aman island! I was streaming the other day and noticed it, I mentioned the temple looked like it had a snake head. I hadn't seen the coiling debuff as I'm not flying while levelling. Having played through the story in the zone, the Amani leader's brother is totally going to rebuild that bridge across to the island and be the raid boss or something, trying to do some sort of snakey loa stuff with the Lightwood (or whatever they're calling it) 💯
The pet thing is so frustrating, I don't know why there is a quest in Silvermoon to catch a battle pet but there are none in Eversong Woods that I could find after a couple of hours flying around. All the drama with the housing stuff just sucks as some people are really into it and it feels like they conned them.
I mean if you play the game at this point and weren't born yesterday you either accept, engage with, or are indifferent to these ingame store shenanigans. Those who cared left a long time ago now.
Not an excuse... but honestly who didn't expect this? There won't be consequences. They saw how hooked people were on housing instantly and weren't ABOUT to let that monetization fish go.
I think they went too big too fast. Having more reasonable prices would have encouraged people to spend money. This has turned so many people off of housing altogether they are losing money in the long run.
Meanwhile in FFXIV and GW2: Just gather and craft everything for your house. Yes they do sell some housing stuff, but it was all obtainable in-game at some point.
classic... he cycles between light and dark, just like the beledar crystal in hallowfall. wonder if they took some inspiration from bellular for their naming.
I think a lot of people forget: the original celestial steed wasn't just a cosmetic! It was a free flying mount on every character you would ever make (back when you used to have to buy them on every individual character) and it was arguably the only flying mount that didn't look stupid on the ground (meaning that you only had to waste one bag space/hotkey on your mount). What was crazy about it then wasn't that it was dumb, but that it also had practical reasons for people to buy it.
I'm actually baffled almost nobody's seeing the red trail for the Prey system, it's so clear as day. Then, I suppose it's difficult to see when you've only ever been ambushed in an intense fight, I've had a lot of clear opportunities where it was a one-on-one and the result was me immediately seeing said trail. I do think I'll hold off on completing my last normal hunt and just letting him ambush me nonstop so I can farm Anguish.
A BIG difference between WoW and FFXIV store housing items is that practically all the FFXIV ones were available for ingame currency during previous seasonal events. Noone who plays regularly and buys them as they appear ingame needs to buy them off the shop. They ALSO don’t have an XP system where buying exclusive furniture does give a tangible benefit even when you don’t plan to use it.
@Minikuppo The problem is that if you make the items people actually want only available on the store, the "optional" part is still true, but your options are "spend money" or "be dissatisfied with your house" (or the most likely outcome: lose interest in housing altogether because it is obviously just Blizzard's next get rich quick scheme). And let's be honest: even people who don't buy the cash shop items are still affected: notice how housing has gotten so much focus from the devs that they couldn't even fix glaring issues with the new race models?! Their focus is on where they think the money is, not the best experience for the people playing the game.
@nataleevee I 100% agree with models and other issues that have been reported and not fixed and I get the company greed part but I don't understand the smear campaign against a game that alof of us feel is a one of the kind no other mmo comes close to wow and maybe people hate that but idk thats just me and my small community like I said i do 100% agree issues in game should come before monetization but st the same time the shop is handled by a whole other part of blizzard I think blizzard as a whole needs restructuring but I mean they gave people a way of farming blizzard balance too its all dumb I guess lol
@somebloke3108 they already increased the price of the subscriptions a while ago by 1€, and the expansions by 10€. The sub is already the biggest barrier to entry for the game. Doubt they'll increase the sub price again in the near future regardless of microtransactions. Almost no games can get away with a sub nowadays
I literally called them breaking all their promises. The very fact that they're willing to monetize in game items for a game with a monthly fee and paid expansions tells you they have every intention to bleed you dry. If anyone believed their promises you have only yourself to blame.
They cant change the fact that Undead males, Night Elves male and other races have problems with weapons scaling - its changing size every time you put it on your back pr using it in combat. This bug persists for over a decade now and Blizzard do not care at all. I literally cant play my Undead warrior because of this visual inconsistency.
Dropping the price of the tree from 750 to 250 immediately feels more like a pre-calculated PR move, a sort of artificial “we hear you” opportunity.
Thats because it is.
the good ol' switch and bait? xD
Yeeeup it's the old start high then when good grace by slashing the prices when in reality it's still over priced.
imo lowering the price does say that, but when you lower it by that much says "you caught us" to me
The irony that I can buy a real doormat for cheaper at dunelm than a virtual one
but does it have Horde logo? 😀
@Daralyndkgive me 15 minutes, some paper, and red spray paint and you bet your ass it will.
@hawkshot867fair enough
Like I said in my main comment, I gave up myself
@Daralyndk I was debating hoping back in to relive playing with my partner again, but fuuuuuuuuck all of this lol
@hawkshot867 trust me I wish it was different, I really really clung to hope for a long time, but in the end I just didn't had fun anymore and I only logged to farm whatever new currency there was to get transmogs and mounts I'll never used
Spending more time on Shop items than fixing bugs seems like the main Blizzard feature now
Bellular must be fucking new to WoW... like Blizzard ignoring Beta feedback and bug reports and shipping it anyways has been around since Wrath
Yo what up gooner just dropping you a line to say the team that makes that shop stuff ain’t the same team that does bug fixing and QA anyway maybe u gotta reign it in young goon cause can’t be slippin like a sloppy slipper ahhaaa you know what I mean bro anyway ya boy meatlogic just dropping you young goons a line cause I ain’t wantin no knuckleheads being out there repping the brand haha peace brother maybe read a book just kidding bro goon out
@alexrompen805why do u think that is
@alexrompen805 nah. blizz is just paying less now.
multi billion dollar company btw
I would also argue that blossom tree is absolutely a Pandaran core identity, as well.
I promise you they just took it from old files and made a few tiny changes. There's no actual work going into these.
I got it for my pandaran room because you’re exactly right
4:20 Doormats for our doormats, umm, err, our customers.
Buying the doormat should give you a title with the same name
Amazing! 10/10
Would buy it just for the title ngl
This is poetry
Lmao good one
underrated comment lmfao
Their philosophy is give me your fucking money
Capitalism you say?
@Mookieblaelocker I say I say!
As long as I don’t have to buy it, carry on. Whatever it takes to keep them from raising my sub price and leaving me alone.
exactly... its just Greed, how much money do they want, we pay for the Game (latest expansion- whatever) we pay a sub AND theres a cash shop with cosmetics and services like Race Change and they added a new currency for Housing to sell shit, They want it all ways....
hearth steal =) give us your fing money =)
Everybody saw this coming.
while buying the sub
Ive done housing in many games. This is absolutely no different. IMO, Blizzard has been very generous with the baseline "in game" stuff compared to some. Im not surprised at all at absurd costs on single items.
Simple if you don’t want to spend the money don’t buy it
@TheWeakMinded the problem is the sliding scale to full mtx whereas we "majority" thought the whole point of a monthly sub was to support development costs rendering the mtx plague moot, this is just greed and in line with M$ agressive MTX stance that made Activision look shy
I’m convinced now that blizzard is slowly squeezing this game because it’s dying. And theyre doing a slow squeeze to get the last remaining of the audience.
Quit. The. Game.

Damn it's on some Korean game prices. Shits crazy
Just stop playing their shit entirely. It's all garbage.
You'll still pay your monthly membership though.
the fastest prey hunt i did by far was just clicking the traps that are on the floor, hard prey took like 5 minutes
I think it's also because bliz goofed up bundle was supposed to have 2 trees... people buying bundle didn't get their trees
yeah, they testing the water and look how far they can go and get away with it.
$2.50 is honestly much even if you could pick it up and place it elsewhere.
Wait you can't pick up the tree back into your inventory after placing it?
AND PEOPLE FALL FOR IT EVERYTIME!! HAHAHA So many dumb dumbs out here
if they need to cut jobs at blizzard they should gut the store team 100%
Those are the guys who actually make the money so they have job security
Ion holly and the store team have the most security
@Thundernoob98meanwhile we lose the artists and stuff that gave us cinematics like bfa etc. the cinematics have been so ass In quality since shadowlands beyond
The reality of business is the exact opposite. They will invest in the store because it's easy profit.
they chief ex. responsible for this store is getting a raise brother!
thats where the true money comes and its a big brain move
I find it ridiculous we have to purchase a subscription, an expansion at full market price and have virtual currency. Yet Blizzard 'can't afford' to support in-game GMs...
Wait till you need a subscription cloud gaming service to even play these games. Cause that is coming, if people think this RAM shortage is from AI they got another thing coming. These Corpos are just using AI as a scrap goat to kill PCs and Consoles so you have to Sub to them to game. They did it with physical games now they are doing it with physical hardware. I swear they trying to speedrun Cyberpunk.
It all gets funneled to Microslop while the bare minimum gets reinvested into the game itself.
@jethrodark2372 Then the great pirate age begins!
@jethrodark2372 "Another THINK coming.", "SCAPE goat", "they are" or "they're". You are welcome.
Don’t pay tbh
You could also argue that those spring blossom tress are tied to the pandaren race.. no?!
I love how loud the sun well is. If it was quiet it wouldn't nearly have the same impact
Agreed.
The Hearthsteel is Mythic Prisms from Overwatch all over again.
Honestly I kinda liked how loud the sunwell was, made it feel like it was powerful
"Oh is the Sun Lazer thats protecting us all from imminent death too loud for you? I'll just turn it down."
There are many several quests with bugs, mostly in map. They send you to travel to Orgrimmar or stuff like that. I think the map ingame sometimes thinks that we are in old silvermoon and stuff like that.
I am surprised that people are still surprised.
Cheers
Good. It should cost you for a name change.
you can't give free name change or player transfer, it's gonna be chaos and the plague of scam
Should be noted, the cherry blossom tree in ffxiv, is a recurring seasonal item, it is even currently obtainable in-game
What’s your point? FF14 also have a consumable cosmetic pizza you can buy on the shop that disappears on use
Meanwhile all the stuff in OSRS's POH is obtained in-game either as achievements, rare drops, or in-game money
Also, you buy the item directly. Not some goofy currency to then buy the item.
@Demon_Tiemgoofy currency that literally every online service game employs except for the wannabe WoW
The FFIV pizza set gives hit bonus dmg and vit buff can use up to 10 times. It’s a limited promo I think.
Buying a digital tree is insane to me.
NFT's repackaged ..but without the exclusivity!
Wait for straws xD
Type this comment on WoWHead and you will start a crusade on youreself for destroying safe space for whales that live for Blizzard.
Spending any money on anything digital is insane to people in a pre digital age. Everything we are doing now would be insane to those born before this age
you can really use that argument for any videogame purchase to be fair
"There are three ways of paying for a game: Upfront, Subscription or Mini-transactions - which one do you want?", Blizzard: "Yes"
the sunwell beam being very loud feels like a nice touch for narrative and immersion, lol
5k hearthsteel costing one pence more than the base edition of Midnight 🥀
hearthsteel feels rather hearthsteal
you can buy like 6 trees with that
The only doormats around here are the ones paying money for virtual trees.
lol. That may have given me the biggest laugh of the year and it is absolutely true.
Ba-zing!!!
and people who give money to streamers
@Maxtor-ve5nu couldnt agree more.
Not trying to correct you, but its funny you call her an npc when she's supposed to be a player too
Great video 👍🏼
Let us never forget Asmon getting the /spit emote removed from WoW over the Celestial Steed. The beginning of the end.
By this point, Blizzard deserves every single penny off of subjects who still willingly share their payment details with them.
I find the whole having to buy multiples of the same housing item insane in game and in shop.
We pay to test the game for them and they dont even address the stuff we point out lol 9:49
doing lore master of midnight you can get enough renown for each faction's champion gear.
I've noticed the prey hunt thing, its quite easy to spot
what a suprise, most knew all along they added housing just for more cash shop options 😉
The leather is now kinda on par with mining ore and herbs. Blizzard designed this frog encounter for this.
The sunwell noise was bugging me, thank goodness people are voicing the same opinion.
I think 250 hearthsteel is reasonable pricing for it, but it would def be nice if they did something similar to events where we could earn them in-game, even for a short time
The doormat is more expensive than my real one.
11:49 *COULD IT BE!!!?? ARE THEY FINALLY ADDRESSING THE GIANT SNAKE TAIL FROM GUNDRAK!!??*
Seems like the housing system went full Anakin Skywalker.
1 minute ago is the fastest I've seen yet lets go
For the Silvermoon portal in the neighborhoods: visiting a friends hose is still has no CD. So it could be used any time to use the portal then...
Only thing i'd use as a house is the outhouse from that quest where the guy is trapped in there :)
I just stick to 50 dollar expansions and a 15 dollar sub fee. Can always choose not to buy anything else.
when people decide to stop being slaves to pixels
They wouldn't sell it, unless it sold well.
Dude… Reddit is a cesspool. Get out of there.
and if you dont pay them their fair ammount over the store, you‘re basically robbing blizzard!
then you‘re not better then those private server players!!!!1
Allegedly microsoft demands some insane % growth each quarter out of blizzard so they milk. Allegedly.
@hristopavlov298and before microsoft, bobby boy demaned revenue from this game
That should have already been a change to make WoW free to play but with more emphasis on microxactions.
750 to 250 is a price cut by 2/3 (66.7%), not 87%
Wrong its 66.6666666667
@zecoya8298 Which rounds to 7
@Maven_rems wrong it rounds to 66.6666666670
@zecoya8298 where did the 0 come from
@artie7845He wanted to pretend he's smart, but realised he'd look stupid if he didn't add the 0
With that level of QA there will be weekly Rextroy videos for the next 6 months.
Thanks for these great tips!
Blizzard said if we don't price it high how can we put in the store it is discounted later?
The only reason to open the shop is to get rid of that annoying ass blue dot in the bottom right of my screen.. sadly though the damn thing comes back. I was lucky enough to be able to just buy the last 3 or 4 xpacs with gold.. with the idiocy going on in that company they're lucky they even get sub money.
The constant ads for the Traders Post stuff got old really fast. I don't care about looks so much as content, gear, and gameplay. Story too.
I'm upset. Insane price and an insane amount of bugs. the turnspeed cvar keeps getting randomly set to 100 instead of 180, mounting on my yak puts my camera way too high, auto loot still randomly breaks, and so so many more issues that never get fixed and just pile up. Will this ever change?

Blizzard will never fix any bug if they can avoid it. They aren't about spending money for improving player experience. That's why they fired all their QA staff.
Dump that sh*t and play slay the spire 2, it's incredible.
No. Now keep beta testing the game on live until it's semi-playable in the .1 patch for 50% off the expansion. Then they'll break it back to unplayable in paid alpha
I don't even know if I should come back...
Yeah. I'm gonna finish the introductory quest for devourer Genji and call it a day.
At what point does any regulatory body do it's job and issue punishments for false advertising?
When a small company or individual does it.
For a company based in the US? never
We are run by fraudsters, what are you even on about?
Didn't spend a dime...and i'm very happy. Thank you.
I like my ambient sounds. And I like my immersion. Loud-ass Sunwell STAYS!
If people would stop buying from in-game shops, companies wouldn't have an incentive to put things in the shop. What's insane to me is people continue to complain but no action is ever taken to NOT buy shit from the shop. It's easy to NOT buy things.

I dunno about all- woops. Just bought another tree. Jeez. I can't even not do it on accident!
And y’all will continue eating the slop.
World of Greedcraft
Oh that Zul'aman island! I was streaming the other day and noticed it, I mentioned the temple looked like it had a snake head. I hadn't seen the coiling debuff as I'm not flying while levelling. Having played through the story in the zone, the Amani leader's brother is totally going to rebuild that bridge across to the island and be the raid boss or something, trying to do some sort of snakey loa stuff with the Lightwood (or whatever they're calling it) 💯
The fact so many people still play this game will be studied by future historians curious as to what the F was wrong with so many people.
I hate the store. I hate the store. I hate the store
I haven't even checked it
imagine you buy new sims for 50$ and then have to buy every decoration separately
The Sims 4 has 1,627.88$ (USD) of DLC on Steam (not including the Sims 4 Store). In fact, you do buy decorations/Cosmetics separately in Sims 4.
That currency should be called "Heart-Steal"
Every rep gives an item that is like that trinket at a certain level. A belt, neck, and helm
Shhhhh, don’t tell people what they can see easily by JUST LOOKING at the current content
The pet thing is so frustrating, I don't know why there is a quest in Silvermoon to catch a battle pet but there are none in Eversong Woods that I could find after a couple of hours flying around. All the drama with the housing stuff just sucks as some people are really into it and it feels like they conned them.
What? So if you buy an item you cant place it more? You have to buy it multiple times?!?
Yes, you have to buy each tree separate. (I do think you can move it once placed, but not replicate it).
I mean if you play the game at this point and weren't born yesterday you either accept, engage with, or are indifferent to these ingame store shenanigans. Those who cared left a long time ago now.
Meanwhile, I'm having a blast being back in Pandaland.
Can't wait for Taliesin to defend this on his stream :')
It was a shitshow, obviously.
when you say Taliesin you mean Evitel's husband?
@dimvots6729 Both are bad and both are cringe and should honestly quit they always defend blizzard cause they get paid its sad
If it’s cosmetic who cares?
Honestly I appreciate both the shills _and_ critics. Positive and negative, I can make up my own mind.
Without watching the full video... "Wildstar sends it's regards"😂😂😂
This is making 'Sims 4 expasions look benevolent
Not an excuse... but honestly who didn't expect this? There won't be consequences. They saw how hooked people were on housing instantly and weren't ABOUT to let that monetization fish go.
from business perspective, its a big W… the money that flows now will be insane
I think they went too big too fast. Having more reasonable prices would have encouraged people to spend money. This has turned so many people off of housing altogether they are losing money in the long run.
the housing prices are literally insane in a economy where ppl live from paycheck to paycheck and groceries cost you a arm and a leg
Like real life 😂
Blue States issue.
3:15 YOU CANT JUST PLACE THE TREE AS MANY TIMES AS YOU WANT?! YOU GOTTA BUY IT AGAIN EVERY TIME YOU WANNA PLACE IT?! JESUS CHRIST WTF BLIZZ?!
People need to rage hard about this it can't slide.
At the very least they should cost like 5-10k gold to repurchase.
The segment about all the stuff added to the shop also forgot about the $40 Kobold transmog sets that were added too
Thanks for talking about the hearthsteel situation, it's so sad that this happened in wow
I have no clue what any of you are bitching about because I never open the shop. It's funny how avoidable your self-inflicted "problems" are.
Tomorrow's Bellular video: "We're back! Midnight is the best expansion in years"
I knew this was coming the moment they announced housing. Already dealt with this with SWTOR and ESO
Isn't SWTOR housing basically almost free?
Eso at least has also the ingame currency
This is why my house will forever remain undeveloped. The game is called World of Warcraft, not World of Spend all your Money on Virtual Stuff.
Yuuup. Won’t even complete the quest to even step foot there
You could do it for a couple of years for now.
as problematic as the paid housing items are, you can perfectly develop your house without spending any money lol
Meanwhile in FFXIV and GW2:
Just gather and craft everything for your house.
Yes they do sell some housing stuff, but it was all obtainable in-game at some point.
Also you can get a Champion piece of gear from all four factions.
Helm
Neck
Belt
Trinket
If only buying a tree, gives back to the rainforest.
imagine buying a digital tree
Help the global warming
you gotta have 2 digit IQ for such action
@MsRiNgOo Hey, 99 IQ is very respectable.
I saw the prices for the Decor on launch and was disgusted...
What happened to everything is perfect last week?
this is par for the course here
The eternal "we're so back it's so over" cycle.
classic... he cycles between light and dark, just like the beledar crystal in hallowfall. wonder if they took some inspiration from bellular for their naming.
See this is why I didnt let myself fall victim to all the promises and promotional materials.
Thanks for the video
Bought the celestial steed back when I was a dumb teenager.. I’ll never buy anything again
Also called TRH! If you know, you know
If it made you happy and you like it, who fucking cares? You're an adult, spend your money how you want.
What was crazy about it then wasn't that it was dumb, but that it also had practical reasons for people to buy it.
you're all paying a subscription and buying expansion packs for a freemium game
You mean in pirated servers?
What ?? We have housing ? Mine must have a lot of dust accumulation.
Ooooh, good idea..... *writes down*
You said "Every item would be available for individual purpose" 2:39 😄
A BIG difference between WoW and FFXIV store housing items is that practically all the FFXIV ones were available for ingame currency during previous seasonal events. Noone who plays regularly and buys them as they appear ingame needs to buy them off the shop. They ALSO don’t have an XP system where buying exclusive furniture does give a tangible benefit even when you don’t plan to use it.
I'll just never understand paying for items for a game you're paying monthly to play.
Company greed
They're the Mr./Mrs. Krabs of blizzard
good thing they are completely optional
I wanna know when they'll be reducing the subscription with all the "micro transaction" shit they're pulling
do you really expect them to reduce subscription fees?
be glad you can just ignore the shop, instead of them doing an inflation correction on sub prices for us all
@somebloke3108did you also notice they got read of currency like valor stones? Now it’s GOLD upgrades….
They’re pushing wow tokens and it’s gross af
Why would they? Most don’t interact with the shop.
Blizzard: “do you guys not have wallets?!”
Let's not forget the oversized floating shoulder pads on Nightborne males, either.
We need to boycott Hearthsteel entirely. This is not acceptable when we are already paying for a monthly sub.
