As a hitscan player, I tried doom and it didnt go well... Turns out hes rly fucking hard to get value with. Still annoying getting 1 shotted or rollout comboed but I have respect for doom players lol
I don't think the problem with doom is his power level, it's that he has all the cc in the game and a one shot body shot, and a fair amount of mobility. Without a team that will focus fire him doom is litterally broken. It's very hard to take down a good doom at any rank at least below diamond.

When he has all his abilities up, he can decimate most characters in the 1v1, especially if he catches them off-guard with charged versions of said abilities. Without his abilities though, his hand shotgun does pitiful, inconsistent damage and has extremely limited use time. Low-rank players aren't going to be able to land charged attacks as much as higher ranks since they're less experienced with him - especially with Slam. While high-rank players don't get nearly as much value out of said charges abilities due to how easy they are to cancel or punish. Imo, all they need to do is reward charged attacks more, decrease the punish period after landing an attack and increase his primary fire's effectiveness so he isn't a complete sitting duck without his abilities. They could also increase the speed DF moves at with his abilities so they aren't as easily interruptable. Improving primary fire It would reduce the likelihood of getting one-shot by his abilities when he can soften targets up before engaging.

His skill floor is very context based. In higher ranks it's one of the higher ones, but in average ranks it's one of the lower one's. You can get quite a lot of easy value flank-punchbotting in gold, but it's insanely difficult to get value above like mid diamond.

had a small idea for buffing doomfist, what if his passive shields prevented stuns? Make them really visible like Hammonds, but that gives a doom who plays smart and gets good flanks an advantage since he got the first hit and the shield needs to be removed before he can be stunned, not to mention he doesn't get that many shields unless he ults or gets a team slam.
