My Bad Air BnB experience

    Recently we had a pretty poor #airbnb experience with a guest. 50% was our fault, 50% was well... one of those stays.
    Eventually it worked out. Overall we have had some pretty good success, but this one took the cake this year from a bad experience.
    They did message me saying they had a decent stay and were understanding. You can't win every Air BnB guest experience, but you certainly can try. I nice bottle of wine, quick communication and understanding goes a long way.

    For everyone new to my channel, my name is Chris Ake (pronounced like Ache, yes the pain). Currently I am managing partner at a software company, Kyros Digital, and I also focus on investing into real estate. But how did I get here?
    2011 - Graduated from GVSU in West Michigan
    2011 - Started my first company, Grand Apps during my senior semester
    2016 - Started a floor installation company
    2016 - Started 2 more companies (video production and marketing)
    2017 - Invested into my first real estate deal
    2018 - Invested into my second real estate deal
    2020 - Sold my first company, Grand Apps. Joined Kyros Digital as equal owner
    2020 - Started Sidekick Ai, a SaaS company focused on Ai Scheduling.
    2023 - Sold Sidekick Ai
    2023 - Bought my biggest real estate deal yet (50,000sf, 3 buildings downtown)
    2024 - We will see what happens next
    I am one of the rare breeds who actually enjoy working and staying busy. I also enjoy my pool and beach time to mentally reset. I am here to document my journey, share some war stories and hopefully help a few people out while I’m here on this planet.

    Besides that, have you had any other bad experiences? Do you always refund people?

      Not always. I will usually gauge their anger levels if something bad happens and determine what they want. Sometimes I will flat out ask them "what can I do to make this right for you? What do you think is fair?". They usually will tell me.
      At the end of the day, people want you to be understanding and not blame things. They want you to take ownership and say sorry and try to resolve it asap. You are in the customer service world now, you must cater to your customers. They are bringing you the reviews and revenue.
