It's kinda ironic that alot of classic menswear stems from a time when people didn't want to stand out from the crowd, hence the old footage of everyone looking the same in suits and hats. Wear classic menswear today and you literally stand out like a sore thumb because of how slobbish society has become.

Here in New England, and even in downtown Boston, it is rare to see a man dressed up. Even during the workweek, it is rare to see a man dressed in traditional business clothes or even wearing a tie.
