The fish look like they have adjusted well and are happy. They moved from the outhouse to the penthouse. 🤣. The scape on the 500g looks really nice Troy.
It's always a challenge catching fish no matter the size, lol. Especially if you don't want to disturb a lot of the decor/substrate. This was really fun to watch. Great camera work too! They all look so much smaller in the plywood tank lol. Love this upload Troy! So much more room for activities! Great work! Very rewarding.
As soon as you dropped the Oscar in it really gave context as to how big the plywood aquarium really is. You did an amazing job on this and it turned out better than you imagined it would I assume.
Wow you really couldn't appreciate how big the 500 gal is until you made the transfer, your fish looked tiny in their new home lol...looks amazing man, hope you enjoy it and looking forward to the future of the 180 as well...
Incredible to finally see them all in there. It makes them look so small. lol There is so much room. Troy you must be so pleased and proud. To have built this beast of a tank yourself. I can't wait to see what's next. Maybe a ray? Maybe new fish? Maybe more construction? You just got to get those lights up, for the shimmer! Love and Peace.
Wow, what an amazing tank and all the fish look amazing in there! Iv just upgraded to a 180 tank for my Severums! I don’t think I’ll be able to convince my husband to let me have one as big as yours though. 😂
Congratulations bro...after months of hardwork the end result is fantastic 👏..Nessy is the showstopper no doubt..apart from stingray if u r adding tankmates I would advice u to get a blood parrot..I saw a glimpse of something (tank/equipment) opposite the 90 gallon discus tank😅..looking forward for future updates
The fish look great in the 500 gallon tank iv been waiting for this day to come for the transfer of the fish it looks fabulous with all the fish in there Troy can’t wait for the next video to see what’s coming next in the fish room 👍
Hola!Wow about time, I been waiting for this day after day and finally!Thank you so much for sharing all of this wth us.Your fish are top of the line....The Brothers had done it AGAIN!Thanks✌🇵🇷💯🐟💪.
That 500 gallon tank is amazing. I showed it to my wife and she said two things. It looks amazing and I have zero chance of having something like that in our house. Always appreciate your wife.
Or how about never let anyone else stop you from doing what you love? If she loved you and this was your passion and she don't accept that, you got the wrong one bud good luck with life.
@@davidclark3138 Well I got 5 tanks downstairs including 125 gallon. So she supports the hobby, we have zero room for a 500 gallon. If we had a much bigger house a bigger tank would be possible.
😂 yeaaaa, my wife said "no more" tanks when I only had a 10gal, 2-55gal & a 125.. But ! The fish needed "upgrades" 😉 So I easily got away with adding bigger tanks lol. Now, 150gal in my room, 250gal pond, 3-75gal, my 125 & my 55s are now for breeding & growing out plants.. oh, and a rack with a few 40gal for quarantine/treating sick & new fish..
Been following this series along, what an amazing tank, been so excited to see all your big fish get moved over, what a great upgrade for them! Looks amazing 👌🏻
Ooo Rambo, I was so busy watching the fish I completely ignored you. That was a great shot of you kitty kat! And Troy, excellent fish transfer. All their fins and that ones stringers look amazing. Love and Peace.
Tank looks awesome! Exited for you to get a stingray but you’ll want to remove most if not all the decor on the bottom, additionally try to stay clear of motoro or black diamond stingrays as they get far too big
I won’t need to remove most, but I will take some out as mentioned. And both types of stingrays do not get “far too big”. I’m getting a male that will be great in this tank.
I am impressed that u built that massive tank. Makes my little 75 look tiny. Haha my cichlids hang out at by the glass and watch your channel whenever its on. I think they like your fish. Ha ha
Good point, As me being fairly new to the hobby. My tiger Oscar did start eating his smaller tank mates. I was wondering where they were going. I thought they were jumping out the tank through the back of the lid. Until one day I actually saw him eat somebody. Lesson learned for me.
Wow! Congratulations, looks awesome and the fish are going to love their new huge home. How big will the Uaru get? As big as the Oscar? I have one that´s over a year and half old and he is currently around 9"
Hey Troy, I'm sure you are more experienced than me, but I just thought I'd share my thoughts on the scape. I generally avoid scapes with sharp-edged stones like Seriyu or Rhino or even Dragon stones when I'm dealing with fast moving, medium to large-sized fish. There is a big risk where one of them loses an eye or knicks themselves during a cleaning frenzy. I saw one of my beloved discus cut herself on a Seriyu stone during a feeding frenzy as she got spooked. It was nasty and I couldn't save her. - Sharp stone scapes I feel are best suited for community tanks that have a bunch of tetras, neons, cardinals etc. Or maybe even the smaller- sized Malawai/Tanganyikan cichlids - Pebble/slate stone scapes, I feel are better suited for aquariums with bigger fish. Let me know what you think :-)
They are completely fine for these cichlids. As mentioned I’ll take out some decor when the stingray comes. They are not sharp enough rocks to cause issues.
I could pick on a few things as far as your structure , but a good build overall. The one thing that is unexucusable however is how you finished the front. Exposed 2x4s , really? For a few $ more you could have trimmed it with nicer wood and finished to pristine. Let me know if you need help with that, I build kickass stuff out of wood. Judging by your cubs symbology I'm not too far from your area.
You realize you'll be in your house forever, as you just cant move that tank without destroying it, and i cant see you catching those fish out of it either 😂
FANTASTIC GREAT JOB you have some happy fish there👍👍
Yes Sir Troy you have done a great job on the new plywood tank fish are looking great. Ready to see what's going on the 180 in the future

Just gorgeous🩷SO In love with your Oscar!
As soon as you dropped the Oscar in it really gave context as to how big the plywood aquarium really is. You did an amazing job on this and it turned out better than you imagined it would I assume.
I agree! The Oscar was bigger than I thought when I netted him, but looks small in the new tank, crazy!
Wow you really couldn't appreciate how big the 500 gal is until you made the transfer, your fish looked tiny in their new home lol...looks amazing man, hope you enjoy it and looking forward to the future of the 180 as well...

Great tank. Now I’m ready to do a build myself.
Love to hear it! You have some more space in the basement to do it! 😂💪🏼

I’m about to start putting fish in my 700 gallon tank and I have learned so much from you and your brothers. I can’t wait!👍
It looks great! Clean and sleek! So much more room for the fish to do fish stuff!

Awesome work man!
Thank you! Cheers!
Looking Fired Up!!!
Looks amazing man! 👍
Thanks!
It's a beautifully sad day. The plywood aquarium is so cool and im sure the fish will enjoy the extra space. The 180 was my favorite aquarium
Haters are gonna hate, Not Me! I appreciate. Well done, good luck on your upcoming fight.
🥊🥊
3rd catch was a beaut
Haha thanks
Wow nice tank! I hope that Oscar doesn’t eat the electric blue Acara! They look so small in that tank with those beast
Good point, As me being fairly new to the hobby. My tiger Oscar did start eating his smaller tank mates. I was wondering where they were going. I thought they were jumping out the tank through the back of the lid. Until one day I actually saw him eat somebody. Lesson learned for me.
Following you from Brisbane, Australia… love your work Mate…
Thank you!
Oscar is so surprised by the new tank that he can't close his mouth.
😮
Truely stunning mate. Looking forward to seeing a ray swimming around 👍🏻. How’s training going for the boxing going? 🏴
Thank you! It’s going well, in the gym right now as we speak 💪🏼
Good lord almighty you can see how big the plywood tank actually is with the fish in there.
Haha yep! Loving it
Wow! Congratulations, looks awesome and the fish are going to love their new huge home. How big will the Uaru get? As big as the Oscar? I have one that´s over a year and half old and he is currently around 9"
Thanks! They can get up to 12-14 inches but also tall top to bottom. So not quite as big as the Oscar but close!
Let’s gooooooo
You should add the other geophagus sveni
Awesome job! Love your videos. Quick question, where dis your order your front glass from?
Thanks! I ordered it from a local glass shop near me in Chicago burbs
I’m from Chicago as well. Could you send me a link?
Hey Troy,

Troy, how was their first night in the new tank? Peace.
They’ve been doing great!
That oscar is a tank
great job! my only concern is your electric blue acaras are kinda small compared to the oscars....I fear for their safety.
Thanks. They should be fine. They’re as big as the Geos that were tank mates for years
@CichlidBros that's good to hear i hope it all works out and i look forward to seeing what you're going to stock the old tank with
So many activities..😅
😂😂
I wanted to give them there dream home ,mean while the cichlids👁️👄👁️
What are the dimensions of the 500 gal?
76 x 44 x 34in roughly
I could pick on a few things as far as your structure , but a good build overall. The one thing that is unexucusable however is how you finished the front. Exposed 2x4s , really? For a few $ more you could have trimmed it with nicer wood and finished to pristine. Let me know if you need help with that, I build kickass stuff out of wood. You didnt want an 8 ft tank?
I’ve explained this in the series
Goals* I have a 30g would love a 300g with South American cichlids
Add the geo’s from ur 150 gallon to 500
You realize you'll be in your house forever, as you just cant move that tank without destroying it, and i cant see you catching those fish out of it either 😂
Yeah that’s the plan
Your poor carpet
It’s as good as new. If you know what you’re doing, you aren’t spilling water.
I wish I can have a big tank as that 🥲
