- Finally SHF One Piece is back!!! Aaaaand.... it kinda sucks so far. They've announced 7 figures, Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Yamato, Kaido, G5, and 2 Netflix figures! So they've got some sort of confidence in the line. This launch is just so...w e a k. Now my copy is clearly a dud among duds. Not every copy (thankfully) will be as loose as mine. But if yours is you can fix it. And if yours isn't, you still should mod those knees. Just a shame, I've tried to get my hands on as many Luffy figures as possible and this one from the wait down is just a shame. I don't particularly like being this negative, it's more work on the editing end to type all that!

Another amazing review! Just got mine in the mail the other day and while my Luffy wasn't as...flimsy, as yours was, I agree that the lack of poseability on his bottom-half is a huge let-down. It seems that early reviews of the SHF Zoro is also facing a similar issue. I really hope this line is able to turn things around soon, because this release is a bummer!

Picked one up from GameStop today and the joints are all actually very tight, wonder if the batch that went straight to US big box retailers was a later one

Great, review! And thank you for showing the knee fixes. I think this is the first channel I see solving this problem. I'm seriously considering getting this Luffy, but that joint problem turned me off soooooo much, now I know it can be solved. What a shame about the leg pegs, though S: You would think that SHF woul do better. Making those pegs the only support for the legs to cut cost? What is this? the 1980's?
It just doesn't make any sense! The limitations are take it or leave it, but those hips are just bleh. Especially when whatever team just did Chainsaman knocked it out pretty much flawlessly. Zoro this month, so I would say look out for reviews of him and see if he's ass headscratching as Luffy, or a much better improvement. If only Luffy is bad, I can work with that.

I think tamashii was getting way too experimental with luffy’s design, which is bad, especially for a revived line.
This is just going in the wrong direction even when it’s supposed to be way better than the last shf luffys we’ve gotten
At this point, they just need to do a recall for this figure because my version had the same problem but only with the left leg. Literally had to super glue it back on and now it moves well.

I got Luffy a week ago and the legs weren’t loose and all I had to do was loosen the tight shoulder joints and tighten the neck joint. So I guess I got lucky with it
the one i picked up at walmart is like perfect and has no qc issues that i know of
I have this figure. It ruptures itself everytime I lay my index on it. But it's nice I guess. They should've added effect parts and more accesories like Haki hands.

Mine just came in, but before I've been an avid viewer of tour vids. It must be a new release or something because my legs on my figure are fine, however, the waist joint is very loose :/
The gear five Lucy has been the wires in the arms and legs 😊
So i have this figurine too and the parts from mine do not fall off. Maybe there are differences in the production

The hip might be loose because you put it in hot water or it’s probably just qc issues

I’m really surprised so many people have such negative experiences with this Luffy. With mine, nothing pops off and I can get him in a great Gear 2 pose, even without mods. Guess it’s really a QC thing

I just got mine and none of the joints are too loose, if anything a lot of them started out really tight and squeaky.

This OST is amazing... i only remember it from OPPW3 however, thats probably because it's my favorite pirate warriors game... although gear 5th is really fun.

Tamashii doesn't seem to iterate, everything is done from scratch for whatever reason. A figure has fantastic leg and hip articulation? Get ready to never see it again outside of that line.

I really should, the thing about VAH is they're all a pain in the butt and loose. In 1 way or another. I recommend Ace, the new Wano Luffy and Zoro, and any of the few antagonist characters. I don't recommend their TS Luffy at all, hes just terrible.

Picked one up from Target today and I think they fixed the leg issue? Mine are actually very tight at the hips and knees.

So SHF basically put the equivalent a limiter on the knees? Why in the world would they do that? Reminds me on how 90% of dragon ball 2.0 figures had that stupid ab limiter that would allow the torso to go deeper, granted it was a super easy fox since all you had to was snip it off but not something that should even be a problem
they did a limited on Chanisawmans thighs as well for no reason, I don't know what their deal is

It's wild how loose the hips are on yours. Mine are so tight they feel like they're gonna break when I move them
I'd tell you to loosen them, but I won't because the alternative is this. Simultaneously the tightness from plastic on plastic is so concerning for shearing.
Idk about you but on the g5 pics it kinda looks like the hip joint is different plus the belt is a separate piece (actually the hip worries me because it looks like it has less forward/outward articulation) 🤔

dude the same thing happened with my shf cgi goku i just put i justput a peice of play doh in the little hole for the leg socket and let it dry, when it dries, crumple it into two peices, put in the leg hole and the join will be tighter than bark on a tree.😂

Do u just fold a small piece of paper in a cylindrical shape and put it on?
It can be a tiny flat piece of paper too. The paper mod, just insanely simple. I used some paper for his waist joint too recently.

I'm glad not every copy is bad, and I tried to make the video sort of acknowledge that it isn't necesarrily eeeverryones that will be bad, but that the design does lend itself to problems inherently.
I want to buy this but after seeing all the problems idk😬 I might since the fixes and that upgrade kit might make it better
for the price and since you Anime Heroes, it's probably worth a shot in a couple months. Especially if it goes on sale by Christmas

The shoulders on mine are way to tight though
bummer about the legs at lest there are fixes out there also sentinel is like always 10 years ahead of everyone else its crazy

It probably can, but my similar solutions just weren't as immidiatley effective for me. If I had given it a whole day to dry or cure whatever thickening solution I'm sure it would work better. But paper, remarkably great.

Wow the hips on yours are so bad! I don't know what happened there. Mine are nothing like that. They squeak a little when I move them, but they don't flop when I shake the figure and they certainly don't fall off! I'm glad you showed the knee mod, as I was curious. I don't think I'll do it as I don't like how it leaves a hole in the back of the shorts. Overall the articulation is disappointing on this one compared to other SHFs, and for a flexible guy like Luffy, it's a shame. Still looks awesome on my desk though, and that's what I wanted him for. I really like that coat though, shame there's no way to get it without buying a whole other figure.

Bro I kid you not I never owned a one piece figure but owned 2 figurarts dbs broly and ssj-ssjb dbs goku (Brody broke because someone went into my room ant broke the inner ball joint leaving the rest ok ) but I is this figure good for a first one piece figure because I can’t afford imagine works luffy even though it looks 10 times better
