@@castleanthrax1833it's simple you fold the dollar bill and put it between the strings that's what Johnny did on get rhythm and I Walk The Line
Johnny would slide a dollar bill in at his 12th fret to get his locomotive sound. It mutes a chord just enough to keep it from ringing out but keeps enough definition. Palm muting on an acoustic tends to bend the note out of key sometimes.
