I think an interesting topic for a solar system upgrade would be an easy way to switch from mains/on-grid power to your mini solar system+inverter system without having to move too many plugs.
Great video. I guess a good use case for bus bar is running two parallel batteries and this frees up the terminals and siplifies the mess when in parallel
About to start my solar setup. Love the vid! Question though. If I’m connected to shore power and wanting to charge my batteries via my 12v 20amp ac battery charger. Should I connect it to the bus bars or the battery? I plan on making it into parallel setup and wanted to know how to charge it when connected to shore power
what about solar input to bus bar from 2 separate solar inverters/panel setups? path of least resistance? all the solar input to bus bar would flow to batteries? any thoughts...
I recently saw a video from president Chay called “I built an OFF GRID cabin in the woods” and for his electrical system he used solar panels to create plug connectors in the wall… do you know how to do that ? Or could you please explain to us ? 👉👈
what are the limits for this type of installation? could i make like 5 battery banks that have a manufacture limit of 5 batteries per, to increase the backup power i have by having 5 banks connected to the busbars?
Can someone help me with cable sizing and bus bar ampacity for my off grid system? I have (4) 100A 48v solar charge controllers connected in parallel to a bus bar, 10kw 48v to 120/240v grid tie inverter connected to the bus bar, 60A 48v DC Motor connected to the bus bar, (16) 100A 51.2v lifepo4 batteries connected in parallel to the bus bar, individual connection to the bus bar not to each other. If I max out the charge controllers and inverter what do I need?
Thanks! Excited to see the rest of the videos in the series!
same
Very nice - concise & clear. Good visual demonstration. Thanks for making this!
Really excited to see more!
Ahhh... THE OL' FLAT HEAD!! 1:33
Shoutout to all grandpa's around the world, we miss you guys...

You seem like a nice guy, I'm subscribing

Do you add any fuses from the postitive side?
Wow this is a good channel. Thank you.
So when re connecting the wire back to the solar panel (MMPT) @5.30 it's NEGATIVE ( - ) first then POSITIVE ( + ) SECOND?

hey, could you try to start on grid inverter with offgrid? experiment with it..

I would think you could, if amp loads don't exceed Busbar and wire limits
Love it!

Hi!! Do you edit videos yourself, or have you hired someone? I'm an editor and would love to discuss it if you’re interested.
Disconnect the panels from the controller first.
Thank you! Good vid.
