What a big loss... he could’ve done so much more with the MTA, but for sure he’ll be missed and considered to be the best NYCT president we’ve had.

Agreed, I’d blame it on Cuomo... he always wants things his way and didn’t listen to Byford on his suggestions. The governor better come up with a good alternative, if not he’ll be putting his hands of fire if the MTA doesn’t improve from here. Andy Byford could’ve fixed our system and improved it even more. The next NYCT President will have to find a good way to convince New Yorkers on having hope again.

Hire Chinese or Japanese rail firms and they will bring their superior expertise to rebuild our MTA. Look at how those countries do rail transit with little bloat and superior results. Also, MTA needs to shrink its unionized bloat at head quarters to save us millions. There is no need for so many none essential positions.

You will be missed Andy I don’t ride the subway a lot but from I seen from your time as transit president you bought a lot of change to the subway’s and buses to make it the best transit system in the country and I think when you joined the MTA in January 2018 the culture in the MTA changed for the good and bought a lot of Saftey measures for subway conductors and bus drivers and I know Metro north and Lirr aren’t apart of your job but I think it motivated the MTA to Buy grand central from being privately owned for decades it was so cool that two people from London you and Robin Hayes of JetBlue were in charge of the two biggest employers in NYC you will be truly missed Andy I blame your boss’s de blasio and Gov. cuomo are to blame for you leaving the MTA the MTA won’t be the same without you hope you come back when a republican Gov.
