Well from what i can tell he DOES want people watching to think his life growing up was not always "sunshine and rainbows" and only feels "ashamed" because Kev is making it seem the opposite by mentioning him playing college football and what not. It then makes it look as if he did not actually have it as rough as he likes to portray through his music and what not growing up. These rappers want you to believe they are deep in the trenches, doing hood shit even after they make it out and regardless of their past not actually matching their lyrics.
