Fantastic view, endless beauty, truly amazing nature’s bounty!!!
My daughter and I spent some memorable hours around the Lodge, and indoors, lounging in comfortable chairs, gazing at family pictures, and so on, picked up some souvenirs from the gift shop, made some nice conversation with the cashier about the Trapp Family, I never get tired having this kind of intimate conversation about the extraordinary Von Trapp family, naturally due to our all time favorite movie which we watched many, many times and never get tired watching it again on Christmas Day!!!
Of course, I could not leave without picking up the Book written by the admirable matriarch Maria Augusta Trapp, with tears in my eyes, admiring the solidity of her Catholic faith, family values, and on and on!!!
Well, my dear daughter has fulfilled her promise to take me to where the invisible footprints of the Trapp family must be still echoing in every room, and outside where the magnificent view whispers their names throughout the red and gold gorgeous mountains!!
Thanks for the panoramic video, it truly refreshed my recent visit a week ago from today!!!
I’m wishing Stowe is just a stone’s throw away from Utah!!!
Thanks be to God for the Grace and beauty of the past, lingering still in valleys, continuing onward from east to west, herein is the truest Beauty of the Land that the power of God has bestowed upon His people of faith and honor and gratitude !!!
Thank You Almighty God and Father, for You have indeed bestowed upon your beloved people a promise of endless bounty and beauty
    !!! ♥️
“I LOVE YOU LORD JESUS NOW AND FOREVER!”
    Amen 🙏

So lovely, thank you! When I was very young my family would travel to stay at the von Trapp's every winter to ski. As a young boy I decided Vermont was so beautiful that I'd live there someday. I'm very happy to say I do now live here in this exquisite state, and have for 8 years now. Cheers!

How nice to come across this video.. yes I was born in Austria came to America when I was 4 years old with my family later in life my husband and son we moved to Vermont and I had a part-time job as a personal chef for Maria Von Trapp and her friend whom she lived with after her original home was burned down Maria lived with Emily Johnson.. I was hired as a personal cook for them in the evenings.. I will never forget Maria she was so beautiful had her hair braided on top of her head and the most beautiful blue eyes.. she had statue in each room with a candle lit beneath them she was very religious and certainly a pioneer to have created so much and with the fire it has burned down the most beautiful Chalet home that she was living in.. it made her very sad that her home was burned down.. Maria loved her Birds and flowers in the garden.. when the new structure was built it was massive.. it actually took away from the charm what it was before.. it is now a modern day luxurious Hotel and many little log cabins along the edge of the Hills along the side.. facing the valley of Stowe Vermont.. yes the memories I have of Maria will always be etched in my mind.. her favorite program was The Waltons it made her feel like home and the memories of her own life it was her favorite program.. God bless you Maria thank you for the Memories that we shared

Rosemarie von Trapp passed away in May of 2022 at the age of 93, and lived in Morristown, VT in her last years. Of the original family, only Johannes von Trapp remains. Great footage!

I worked at Trapp's in mid 1970s as a waitress. Maria was alive and running it then. The old building was beautiful and had a real old world feeling - sad it burned. My son and daughter in law had their wedding there ten years ago - the ceremony outside with mountains for a back drop - it was so beautiful. I have lots of fond memories of that amazing place. Thanks for the memories!

You and Lauren on another trip to the Trapp Family Lodge! Stowe is a cute little town. I never heard of the Kissing Bridge. Wow, beautiful foliage at the Trapp Family Lodge! I'm glad they had a place for day visitors. That's a really pretty lodge. Too bad the original burned down but the new one is very nice. Wow, that drone shot of it with the pretty Fall foliage behind it is stunning! Beautiful drive through the woods too. Thanks for this Ken and Lauren.

The Magnolia Network has a show where Andrew Zimmern visited the Von Trapp family. I believe the TV Show is called "family Dinner". Andrew visits many different families from different cultures. Your journey to Stowe, Vermont with your daughter Lauren showed lots of interesting side trips. The scenery is spectacular in the fall colours. (Canadian spelling) Keep up your journeys. . . . You "nailed" this video. 😊 By the way, we also saw the movie Sound of Music around 1966 in Saskatoon.

Ken, thank you so much for your videos...we watch all of them, both channels! This one, at the Trapp Family Lodge, brought back so many lovely memories of our 1973 honeymoon in Stowe, almost 49 years ago. We didn't stay there, but we cross-country skied at the Smuggler's Notch and walked a bit on the Lodge property. While walking along the lane there, we saw Maria walking in the opposite direction, and she said hello as she passed us. These scenic videos of Vermont are so amazing. I grew up in Massachusetts, and I miss seeing the colors of New England in the fall. Your daughter is lovely. You have a wonderful family. May our Lord Jesus bless you all.

Loved the video Ken. I lived and worked in Stowe over 40 years ago. I was an LPN and worked at the Stowe Clinic when it was on the Mountain Road and Maria would come in and demand to have her blood Pressure taken... quite the character. I was in Stowe yesterday to go to Stowe Seafood Market, wonderful seafood, the traffic was horrendous. Thanks for the videos, they are all terrific.

To answer your question, yes, there are subscribers from Austria (me :D). I visited Vermont 2 times already, also the Trapp Family Lodge two times. And it's really funny as in Austria really no one knows about the Von Trapp Family and their story. Before I first go there last year, I watched the movie in order to gain knowledge about their story. Vermont really resembles Austria a lot in terms of the scenery / landscape. However, I'd love to have maple trees here in Austria to see such a beautiful foliage during the fall season. I hope to visit Vermont again soon. Greetings from Graz, Austria.

Wow that’s a great story, I guess the Von Trapp family were heavily consulted/involved when they produced the famous film all those years ago and maybe, just maybe they also benefited from the success of the film. (I wonder if Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer remained friends with the Von Trapps afterwards?…)
