Marriage is God concept for preservation of mankind in the world. He constituted it for his will on earth. We need to go back to God for knowledge and understanding for this institution called Marriage. Our knowledge of it comes from society and social media which makes it looks glamorous from the outside. Marriage functions by law because its an institution and bear in mind i didnt say emotions, logic or intelligence but law. What are the laws of marriage? you can only find out from the one who created the institution.
