I started learning Chinese a few weeks ago, on Duolingo. But I found it a little difficult since it didn't really explain what was going on. I dropped it, but later on I found your channel. And so far, it's been great. It's really easy to follow along and in 3 days I've learned more than what I "learned" on Duolingo.

These lessons remind me of my high school days! We used to have a lao shi who was from China. She was teaching us Mandarin. Back when I was still in elementary, the boyband F4 was very famous because of Meteor Garden. Since then I have always wanted to learn Chinese and I have memorized few of their songs in Chinese! Hahaha! So imagine my happiness when I learned that we were having Mandarin lessons by a Chinese teacher coming from China! Hahaha! Until now, I can still remember these Chinese characters because of that brief lesson we had during high school. I'm glad I found this channel. Might try to learn again. :)

I wanted to start learning Chinese for quite some time, but the pronunciation sounded very intimidating... But, now, since I'm quarantined and have nothing else to do, it's time to begin, and I think that you're the best teacher for this. I've watched a lot of Chinese dramas, and now, Chinese doesn't sound so intimidating anymore, It actually sounds beautiful. Sheet I'll start mastering the basic Chinese, I'll definitely pay for subscription.
    Thank you for your work.

...i think the trick is not to flap the tip of the tongue when you say the 'r' - keep it as close as possible to the roof of the mouth
...this 'r' is a very similar and very common sound in turkish as well: İyi günler (good day), İyi akşamlar (good evening), Hayır (no)
      ...goog luck!
