      Copy pasted it here:
      Confirmation that if the US happen to lose to Uruguay and fail to qualify for the knockout stage of Copa America Gregg Berhalter will continue to be the coach
      “Zero chance”of the Federation making a change at this time
      People need to just accept the fact that he’s our coach

    Gregg has to go if the team gets grouped. This team needs to focus on creating chances. It's also come out that Weah will miss the next 2 games for the red card. Btw, for people blaming Weah for the LOSS, reminder the team literally scored 4 minutes after. Anyways, here's the lineup I'd put out:
    GK: Horvath (unless Turner is healthy)
    LB: Jedi
    CB: Richards
    CB: Ream
    RB: McKennie (I chose him over Scally for the fact that he's better at creating chances)
    CM: Musah
    CM: Tillman (it's absolutely asinine he has 0 minutes but CCV does)
    LW: Wright
    AM: Reyna
    RW: Pulisic
    CF: Balogun
    I'm not watching any more games under Berhalter. I can't take it anymore. It should be classified as abuse. I'm joking about that. That being said, I'm happy to talk prospects, player pool and tactics for certain games.
    Prediction: 5-1 Uruguay :(

    • @AMERICANULTRASTALK
      @AMERICANULTRASTALK  3 месяца назад +1

      That’s an interesting lineup, my only fear is that it’s perhaps too attacking against a very strong opponent. Tillman definitely deserves minutes at some point, I wonder if an option is putting him at LW and Pulisic at RW, or even vice versa. I have zero confidence in this team but I do think it’ll be closer than 5-1, I can’t see us capitulating that bad in a competitive match. Let’s hope for a miracle, and at least we have the Olympics and CONCACAF U20 Championship to look forward to later this summer!

    Forget Gregg. It's on these players to dig deep and pull out a result. Maybe Bolivia will do us a solid (to make up for killing Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid), meaning we could potentially tie or lose and still move on. Call me delusional, but for all the decades I've been watching sports, ”who wants it more" is a thing. I'll go with 1-0 USA, as well. As far as Gregg, USSF doesn't want to pay out his contract and pay a new coach to do basically nothing for two years. I could see them making a change in early '25.

      A GreGG apologist. It’s not all on the players. It’s starts from the top up. Have you forgotten the 2-1 loss to Trinidad and Tobago?

    • @AMERICANULTRASTALK
      @AMERICANULTRASTALK  3 месяца назад

      Who wants it more will definitely play a major role, but I still think that might give the advantage to Uruguay, they don’t let up. Regardless of what your opinion is on Gregg’s tactics it’s clear as day from the Behind the Crest videos that his team talks are boring and uninspiring. Let’s hope for a win, it would be huge for the team. I still think they’d rather make a change immediately than in 2025 to give a new manager as much time as possible before the World Cup, but regardless I can’t see a change happening.

      @NITESHADOWshouske I think you misread what they were saying about "it's on the players". Think they mean it's going to be on them to get the result regardless of Gregg's gameplan, etc. because Gregg doesn't have what it takes. Not an apologist, I think.

    Friendlies didn't matter, but after this tournament is over that's all we have to look forward to until the WC, so they sure as sh*t need to matter going forward.
    I would have made that abundantly clear to the group after nations league, and we would have treated the Colombia match like a group game. Alas, GGG does it his way and here's where we are. I'm hopeful we'll get it together, but evidence suggests that's not likely.
    It's beyond time to get serious, and stop making excuses.

    • @AMERICANULTRASTALK
      @AMERICANULTRASTALK  3 месяца назад

      It’s a shame that our friendlies before the World Cup are going to be against mostly bad teams. It’ll just boost Gregg’s win percentage and won’t give us any indication as to where the team is at.

    As much as I want Gregginho gone, I can't see it happening. The fact he was rehired after his firing is enough evidence. USSF needs him out before the world cup. Even if by some miracle we beat Uruguay and we don't get grouped, I cannot see GGG taking us anywhere in 26. Seeing him pull Flo off last game against Panama and the rest of the subs was disturbing to watch. I can't believe the excuses some fans, media, and USSF are making up; yes, Tim Weah deserves a lot of the blame for the loss, but we scored with 10 men.... and GGG pulls of Flo right after he was inches away from scoring again then subs in the most GGG head-scratching subs. Good teams still beat lesser teams when down a man... and I want to think we are a good team. USSF has shown that they do not care about winning, they are comfortable and complacent with soccer being a second-class sport in this country so long as it's a family friendly event where they can milk a family for $400 ticket prices.... prediction 4-1 Uruguay, GGG stays until the end of soccer :(

      The plan for USSF was always to extend Berhalter’s contract, but the conflict with the Reynas complicated that a little bit. It’s such a shame that the federation only care about money, even if the tickets they sell are going to away fans, and absolutely do not care that we continue to underperform. A lot of people have said that they’ll take a break from the national team if we keep Gregg, and I honestly can’t blame them.

    Must win game. How many shots did the US manage. I remember one in the first half. You can blame the ref all you want, but the US simply didn’t create enough chances and never looked like winning against a team that could have afforded to lose. While I’m hear, stop talking about friendly wins, they mean absolutely nothing.
