i saw a big Nac Nac, a Tobogan, a 360, a backflip to a canyon gap frontflip, and a Superman. For me, its just one of the best runs in the story of Rampage.
yeah, but thats NOTHING against a caveman drop in(which semenuk already did last year...) and the 20+ buddy buddy points you get to be an north american rider! #brendoggotrobbed #bienvenidogotrobbed
We'd all like to see a short video from the judges explaining the scoring and how a run done 10 years ago beats this or Brendan's run. Most viewers, myself included, seem throughly confused as to what happened in that little box.
I agree, the scoring seems to lack consistency and differences between the scores of some runs are too big. Considering that the RB Rampage has been going on for 20+ years and is a huge event in the MTB world the judging seems a bit... amateurish? Personally I think that each rider should receive two scores after each run - one for the technical difficulty of the tricks performed and the second score for the style/flow of the run. These two numbers should be added together for the final score of the run. I think this would at least bring a little bit more clarity into the scoring system.
Can someone from Red Bull explain to us Why the judges judged so bad? Well, for 95% of the audience around the world, this run deserved at least a podium.
I think they penalized his score for celebrating before the finish line. Bad call imo, but my guess is they didn't want to encourage that type of behavior
This is one of those events that should be considered a showcase rather than a competition. The guy had the ride of his life and probably the most memorable ride of the event. Ranking him so low after that kinda puts a damper on that high he deserves to feel after that ride.
Wow, Zink had a run without crashing or shutting down because of a case !!! That's a 95.00 in my book.. LOL so corrupt.. If they had giving him a score similar to the others like a 91,69 maybe I could believe them to be fair and just but that 95 made a joke of the entire show..
@@KS-nm6rt it totally felt like they just gave mad boost to the score, as if it wasn't even actually scoring, but stating 'that's a win', and a 95 is just impossible to beat.
Come on, the judges cheered Zink mid run. Imagine a football referee celebrating a goal, that would make international news in 0 seconds flat. I was excited watching the event live but I went away and just came back to fast forward to the runs. Way better experience imo.
we won't find out why he didn't deserve to be on the podium, congratulations on an incredible performance, hats off to everyone for their hearts and balls of steel
what a class act! throwing down a top run in rampage history, getting scored like an am and then sitting in the corrall and hugging literally every rider who finished. massive respect!
It's def the beginning where he just traverses the ridges and rides next to the battleship. Nothing going on, but that's the same with Emil line. Soo much traversing.. Why?! Because the other riders have picked all the good stuff so freshers gotta work with scraps and have lost the race before this show even starts..
I must be missing something, but stopping early and “just” (as if it’s not impressive by itself) doing a pump on the last trick jump, not even going to the end, had to be a big part of why the judges didn’t podium him. His run was spectacular, but the part where you throw your bike and celebrate comes at the finish, not part way through.
Didn't you watch the 2nd runs? He did exactly the same run but more smooth and went all the way to the finish corral but his score only improved by 0.3.. Cink landed one trick and went from 0.0 to 95.. What a joke @@Iyiouseismouse
Respect for the podium runs, all of them, but this was the one that deserved the victory, great Bienve! huge run, high risk, incredible performance, awesome control (front flip 2 on 2). Aguado for win!
Absolut insane run and did it in 2nd run again like it's nothing. Was bummed by the points he got for it but thanks to the viewers voting, he got the appreciation he deserved.
If the judges only selectively reward big risky sends riders will go the slopestyle route more and more and rampage loses it´s edge. How is one of the biggest rampage sends ever only rewarded with an 78?!
Bienvenido's run was the slopestyle route, kind of. He hit a lot of big jumps on not super steer sections and did tricks on them. The judges rewarded more super steep sections and big drops. Which I kind of get, but I think they need to find a balance.
Yeah, but according to judges this run was 76 while another rider gets 95 for doing the same line from previous participations and using already build lines
Watching a full send front flip over a canyon gap is exactly why I watch rampage. I thought this is what it’s all about. The judges clearly have. Different agenda. I hope the riders will still try huge canyon gap flips in the future cause that’s what I’m here for.
Hands down the gnarliest send, and ends up with 78 points. This judging is sus af. Winner in my book anyway. I was missing Lacondeguy(my fave rampage rider), but this guy definetly filled some of that void! Shame Gozdiek(one of my fave) crashed, and also sad that Gee(one of my fave) crashed during practice.
Im new to this sport but I watched the whole competition and Bienve's run made my heartbeat go up the most and my jaw dropped. I dont get why he didnt end on the podium..
Judges definitely were being salty about him not completing run and gave him a lower score I think. Doesn't make sense why he did get a podium spot, literally landed worlds first trick at rampage twice in a row!
Red Bull, you need to do something with the judging/judges. How this run didn't end on the podium?! Between 1 or 2 is debatable, but 8th?! 15 points between this and Cam? With Brendog the same, clear podium run. Rampage should be sabotaged by the riders if this is not addressed... What's next? In 2024 they will give it to Bender?
@mikes.8305 you don't use critical thinking often do you? Just because I correct you doesn't mean I claim to be able to do the trick. Don't be such a pansy, accept you made a silly mistake and move on kiddo.

Fully agree....brendog and bienvenido..were the best runs for me..cam zinks run was amazing..but a 96?? The judges there are so biased
One and two 🙌
100%, 1st and 2nd place, which order I cant decide. Probably 1st Bienvenido and 2nd Brendan, both had outrageous exposure.
100% agree that Bienvenido should have taken 1st followed closely by Brendog in 2nd. Lots of bias from judges.

Absolutely criminal some of the scores.
