Play strength Pass rush plan Get off Bend This is a really good deal on a young pass rusher. I'm excited to see what he will do, with the talent around him.
I think you have to consider age/contract plus the fact that we would be getting assets back for one of them (or possibly both but I don't think both get traded). With all of that in mind, I would lean Huff. In terms of play, just for one season and not factoring in everything else, I would say Reddick just because we haven't seen Huff play with a high snap share yet. I think if Huff can maintain a similar level of production (I do expect some dip in efficiency with more snaps) then I would say him. He is bigger, stronger and more explosive and is also incredibly skilled as a pass rusher. I would take Huff over Sweat. I like Sweat more than most in the fan base and I've written about the insane tackles he's faced vs Reddick, but he just doesn't finish at as high of a rate.
I think you have to consider age & contract in the discussion. If it's just based purely on putting the best players on the field, I would say Reddick. I would like to see them find a more stout run defender to rotate with them on early downs though.
@@SomeRandomParticleThat comes down to contract (and also differences in potential trade compensation). If Reddick wants $25-30M a year like the highest paid guys and you can get Sweat for similar to Huff, then I'd go Sweat. If Reddick gets $20M a year with a possible out after year 2 of the contract, then I'd go with him. I know Sweat got a lot of flack this season, but I've written about the severe contrast in level of competition he's faced the past two seasons vs Reddick. Sweat is a good player still, but Reddick is just a bit better.
@@PhillyFilmRoom I see. By the way, do you think it's possible we currently keep both Reddick and Sweat? I don't really understand why they are shopping Sweat in the first place.
@@SomeRandomParticleYeah it is doable that they keep both. Huff's contract details aren't out yet but his first year cap hit will likely be around $4-5M. I think they're looking to trade either player because they know that they're not going to keep both Reddick and Sweat next year, so better to trade for an asset in return than lose them completely. Here's the other thing, if Reddick doesn't come back next year, he'll have a dead cap hit of around $13-14M, for Sweat it would be about $9M. If you trade them then they won't have a dead cap hit next year.
While Huff is a beast, thanks for Reddick. You have to wonder why the Jets were so willing to let Huff go. On film he looks great, but why only use him once in a while? The Jets know something the rest of us don't. In any case, I'll take Reddick.
Because they couldn’t keep everybody. Before Huff was let go the talk coming out of New York was that they wanted to keep him, but couldn’t. They since cleared money and traded for Reddick.
@@TedTeddy-ej3dp The Jets didn’t want him to go? If that were true, he’d still be there. They weren’t going to pay him what he wanted, and who knows his skill set better than the Jets coaches? They traded him because parts of his game are missing. We’re way better off with Reddick.
@@shepshape2585 If you look at Reddick, he disappears in games where he has to go against good tackles. I saw a stat that Reddick hasn't recorded a sack against a top-tier tackle in over 3 years. Huff on the other hand beats elite tackles consistently. And he offers a power game, which is something Reddick always lacked. Notice how the Eagles offensive line has NEVER said that Reddick was difficult to block? Over Reddick's career, he's been very good at taking advantage of favorable circumstances. He gets his sacks against low-end tackles. I don't understand how someone could want a 30 year old edge rusher, who wants $25 mil per year over a 25 year old up-and-coming stud who wanted $17 mil per year. You save $8 million dollars while getting a player who will most likely be better.
Yo videos make me feel nothing but happy
Yo Adrian
This was great work i can't wait to watch this kid cook next year next to Jayden Carter and Jordan Davis
Jordan davis monster year incoming !!!
Arguably the best eagles in-depth channels
I never watched Jets games throughout the year, so I wasn't really familiar with his game. Thanks for the intel
They were the first team we lost to last fall. (if I recall)
Well he destroyed us when we played against him
@@TedTeddy-ej3dp thanks for clarifying.
Jalen Carter being on that list in the beginning with 5 Rare HQ Pressures stands out to me 👀
Yeah it's crazy how good he was his rookie year. He will be a force in the league if he keeps it up.
Great video makes me extra confident in the signing
Thanks! You're videos are on point. Best over some more established analysts! Keep churning out videos
Thank you so much for the support!
Love seeing Carter on those lists as a rookie! Haha
Especially at a position that has typically been a harder transition for rookies. Dude is a beast.
Holy sh*t!!!
CJ is back
Let's go!!!
seeing jalen carter there as well is SCARY for other teams
Love your videos man, you do such a great job
Glad you like them!
Huff got the muscles and power I'm good with that
Dude you guys get downnnnn! Are you making short form content too?
Great stuff, well done!
well done sir. go birds. had to subscribe. great work!!
I'm so intrigued just because of who his linemates will be. If he can teach Nolan Smith those moves. OMG!!
I'm a Jets fan, this is why they suck. He'll be great in Philly
Yo bro..... Your videos are ELITE 🔥 I'm so glad you're an Eagles fan!

Hopefully he can keep it up over a larger snap share but at his price point compared to other players at the position it looks like another steal.
When’s the Saquan video dropping?
Early next week
Huff could have an Hugh Douglas impact or N.D Kalu impact
Would you take Huff over Reddick or Sweat today?
I would personally. But only because Huff is young and Reddick's getting older.
yes. like what he says in the video, Huff is beating elite lineman and reddick isn’t. Sweat isn’t consistent enough to be elite. Huff all day.
