Can we just talk about how Glalie is forgettable but it took out a Charizard with steel wing and flamethrower super effective on Glalie. What a legend

Glalie his voice is so deep, I forgot how deep it was lol.
And Snowrunt was quite cute and I really hope Ash gives it some more screentime.
I'm also really glad they spent 7 episodes on Snowrunt learning a move. I remember something similar went on with Buizel his ice punch training.
I really hope they spent more time on training.
And Glalie did surpringly well for how little he fought!

I didn't like Snorunt/Glalie's design until it joined Ash's team. Now I dig it! Definitely, a bummer Glalie didn't fight in the Sinnoh League, but perhaps it foguht in that battle with Snorlax? There were two unseen Pokemon during that battle iirc.

And I liked Glalie because I loved the idea of this floating orb as a child I always thought it was like a small planit

I remember Ash’s Glaile, when it was a snorunt it was mischievous and didn’t perfect ice beam until it evolved in the episode where the grand festival was still happening and that milotic coordinator helped Ash with his training. The battles were great, it even took down a fire type despite being at a disadvantage at the ever grande conference.

The writers really dropped the ball by making ash leave glalie with professor oak. Glalie is such a cool and powerful Pokémon and ash leaves glalie behind after such a short time together
I think it would've been cool to see it get one battle in the BF with a few new moves, hopefully it returns some day!

True that unfortunately i think that Glalie went unnoticed in Gen 3 and then Gen 4 released Froslass so no one cared about it by then 😑
Everytime I get a snorunt in a pokemon game, I'm thinking about Ash's Snorunt/Glalie.
it's personality was so cool and he loved ash so much that he became the Hoen tank for him.

Wished it came back during the battle frontier or at least get a win during the sinnoh league, but it's great to know that Glalie saved Ash during the Hoenn league and did incredibly well. Beating a metang, Charizard and even a sceptile it really had an amazing win rate.

Agreed! As much as I love Donphan, it was very cool to see the writers fix their mistakes during the regional league by giving Ash's wild card an opportunity to let loose and win some major battles. If only the same was true of Torkoal during the Hoenn League lol.

It's a real shame that Ash's Glalie wasn't used very much. It kind of got the Heracross treatment.
Kingler was the one who started that trend but yeah I agree poor Glalie
It’s also the hoenn effect in which people mostly only remember the battle frontier.
@@mikeval1525 Glalie really should've gotten brought back for one frontier brain battle Torkoal did so why can't Glalie it could've been brought back for Lucy (that was the least memorable battle that's why I chose her)

Couldn't agree more, I wasn't a fan of Snorunt and Glalie's designs initially, but Glalie's epic performance during the league made me a huge fan :D
Glalie is a Pokemon we should have seen more of after the Hoenn League. Even though Glalie hasn't been with Ash as long as his other Hoenn Pokemon, he is undoubtedly one of Ash's best Pokemon even when at a type disadvantage. Ash needs to SERIOUSLY bring this powerful Pokemon back into action.

@@ProfessorAlexSilver Not really. Ash send out grovyle and glalie against charizard and quilava, which are both fire types. Ash always seems to use Pokémon that are weak to the opponent’s Pokémon
Ash knows them and understands them he just chooses to ignore them cuz he prefers to be creative
There is more than one way to win a battle type matchup isn’t the only way

I remember when I watched the first Sinnoh gym badge battle against Roak, the rock type specialist, I was wondering why Ash didn't call back Glalie, Sceptile and Totodile for that battle.
I would have been redicolously easy. 😂
Greninja + Charizard + Sceptile + Snorlax + Infernape every gym = Game Over 😂

In Pokemon Journeys episode 114 we see Glailie training solo Ash's Dracovish under a waterfall!! Not only that the fact that Glailie sits below a waterfall with so much water running on its head means that its ability is Inner Focus and Glailie has been honing its ability ever since Ash left it at Oak's lab. It also means that it has a hard strong heah, thus the reason it can use Spinning Headbutt and Pinball Headbutt, being the only one other than Pikachu, in Ash's list of captured Pokemon, that have more than one specifically tailored moves. Pikachu has used so many, thunder armor, electroweb shield, falling volt tackle, quick attack iron tail etc

actually caught a snorunt in my play-through of shield just because I remember watching his debut episode in the anime, then I quickly realised the one I caught was female and therefore was going to evolve into froslass instead. still a pretty great pick for my team though.
Must be a Paul fan if you went with Froslass ;)
@@ProfessorAlexSilver fan might be pushing it, I found him intriguing on the few occasions I didn't want to throttle him for the way he treated any given sentient life he came into contact with.
It's up there with Muk and Boldore as one of the more surprising catches Ash has gotten. I like Glaile and all, but it's design never once struck me as "let's give this to the anime lead" tier. It's a shame it got Oak'd so soon, it definitely could've done some work in the Frontier or Sinnoh league.
I think that's what I like most about Glalie. I never would've liked it if it hadn't been on the main cast so it was cool to see such an underdog Pokemon get recognition on the show

Imo among all of Ash’s long-term Pokémon, Glalie is definitely the most forgettable.
Not saying it’s bad or anything, it just didn’t leave much of a long-lasting impression due to its short screen-time.

Glalie was such an underrated CHAD, surviving and winning against two Fire Types and being the last hope against Morrison and not disappointing.
The writers really did the poor Face Pokemon dirty. Shoukd have been used for the Battle Frontier at least once.

like, glalie needed more battles or more screentime, swellow needed the same during the battle frontier arc- corphish should've evolved, torkoal should have beat registeel, in all honesty.
literally all people remember is sceptile being a badass (despite the badass moment they know it for being in the sinnoh region but still)
Swellow got a pretty cool battle with Tucker, but it's fight with Tobias was super lackluster :/

@@ProfessorAlexSilver It's over now, and Ash got a Mega Lucario, but prior to XY, four of his Pokémon could Mega Evolve being Charizard, Heracross, Sceptile, and Glalie. Charizard and Sceptile are out in my opinion due to Alain (X), Trevor (Y), and Sawyer having them. As for Heracross, I love him, but he had time to shine in the Battle Frontier and the Lily of the Valley Conference, even though he went down to Tobias' Darkrai without much of an issue. That leaves Glalie, who even with Sun and Moon and Journeys, was Ash's most recent Ice type, and wasn't used since the Ever Grande Conference.
Honestly, that's the biggest problem with the League Conferences after Lily of the Valley. Ash ONLY used his new Pokémon except for Pikachu, and always let his classics out to dry. I don't know if he would have defeated Alain in the Lumiose Conference, but he would have won the Ventress Conference if he done so. I don't care if he beat Leon, because none of his old Pokémon returned for the World Coronation Series.
