Quite enjoyed that mate - thanks. I haven’t done anything like that (I’m in NZ), just wondering what your visibility is like crossing all those dunes? I know the chances of meeting someone else on top are remote but I couldn’t help but think every time you came up to a rise (especially in the right hand track) I’d hate to meet another bike or worse, a 4x4 coming the other way. 😂
Thanks mate, glad to hear that you enjoyed it. Would love to get across and do some riding over on your side one day. The camera doesn’t give the watcher much context but I do mention it in the narrative at one point. As you crest the dunes you can often see well into the distance for any oncoming traffic for km’s. In the Simpson 4wd’s are also required to have sand flags attached to their vehicle so if you are traveling much fast and they’ve been between dunes for a while, you are likely to see their flags early enough to make the necessary adjustments.
@@nextstopadv that makes total sense I was going to be going through aswell but waited till this year in March now there's floods and closed road as we speak.
Nice report. Stay healthy.

Having a ball on the WAA 👍 and nothing like colours just before dark.
That WAA line was heaps of fun and allowed you to relax enough to take in the scenery.
Absolutely. Love the twilight period in the outback.
This trip was obviously 2023 some time ?
Yea, May 2023. Floodwaters stopped us from doing the complete crossing.
