Thanks for your time. God bless you, your ministry and family. If we meet someone who claims to be a believer, yet repeatedly sins without repentance for instance lieing, abusing, manipulating, steeling, or adultery etc. are we to be vigilant that this may be bad fruit reveling itself? Thus helping us to know not to trust them? Or just believe they are a Christian because they say so and trust them, even if their fruit appears to regularly indicate otherwise? How do we discern and "test all the spirits to see that they are from God" please? This is one of the most difficult and confusing aspects of my walk with Christ presently. Regularly people claiming to be Christian, come to me for all sorts of things, when I witness their fruit, I am genuinely confused if they are Christian or not. I'm sincerely not looking for perfect people, just trying to understand who are true believers and how to have a reasonable level of confidence in this Biblically. I do generally pray and be loving either way even if I am confused. Thank you and may the peace of our Lord and saviour be with you. 🕊
I'm a Catholic, and I always hear people talking about doctrine and how dying in mortal sin causes people to lose their salvation...but in realty, ONLY JESUS knows how one is saved!
We are to required to share the Word; the act of sharing is works. Faith + Works = Salvation. How would believers and unbelievers know about God, if you kept the Word to yourself?
You missed this one. 'Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.' James 2:17-26 If you really have faith as you may say, doing works will not be that hard for you. The only thing that let you go to heaven is grace alone. But you can not have faith and hate others for example. You can not do the oposite of Jesus teaching. Faith and works should still togheter. You can not separate those two.
Flavius Neaga Actually, I think you missed it. Living faith produces good works while dead faith will not. This is the point of the passage you quoted. This is why Paul in Romans 4 references Genesis 15:6 to make the point that justification is solely by faith. It’s difficult to miss this theme throughout the Old and New Testament. Paul points out that faith alone justifies while James mentions that true faith produces works. The two authors are in agreement. Christians produce good works because they are already justified not in order to receive or maintain it. Good works are always post-justification. I realize you posted you comment a year ago but I think it is important to get this one right. I suffered a long time believing I had to live up to a moral code in order to be accepted by God. Only in faith, not works, can we truly have peace and assurance. God bless you.
Patrick Parker what helped me was to understand the difference between justification and sanctification. We are saved by the work of Christ alone. Those who are in Christ will have the fruit of the Spirit. At no point do our works save or keep us saved. Everyone has works but the question is are they good or bad. Ultimately, only a Christian can have God approved works. These are the works done in faith in Christ alone for righteousness. I hope I answered your question.
Patrick Parker A true christian will produce at least some fruit, some good works, which sometimes is more or less according to his maturity and the season. Like a tree, there are periods where the fruits are abundant, periods they are scarce and periods where there are none but if we are in Him by faith, we will eventually produce some fruit and those fruits/works are good because they are produced through the guidance of the Holy Spirit and on the foundation of Christ. Every fruit that is not built on that is bad fruit, that's why we can't produce good fruit apart from Christ, so unbelievers will never produce good fruit because they are motivated by the flesh in everything they do even if they might have the appearance of good, they are not because they do not have the Holy Spirit and they are not doing it motivated by Christ and for the glory of God.
How could people who do not believe in Jesus for eternal life, believe their good works would get them into Heaven? Wouldn't that mean they do believe if they're doing their good works as an effort to one day enter Heaven? I'm asking about your talk from 8:14-8:24 of this video.
terrific job of explanation. one more thing: the "in the name of jesus" is actually in Greek "through" or "by" (dativus instrumentalis). so it doesn't mean "in the spirit (sense) of Jesus", but: using the name of Jesus for your own selfish means.
Good message I agree salvation is faith alone, It’s nice To do good works but it’s not required for salvation only faith in Jesus,,, now in Matthew 7:-15-21 Clearly says false prophets the people in Matthew 7-15-21 are clearly false prophets Who teach a works based salvation and in the end they acknowledged God but not the SON of GOD
PS... in the gospel and the New Testament the problem was not your lifestyle but your belief The disciples and Paul was teaching Jesus Christ salvation only believe, most of the Hebrews cannot except this teaching about the son of God, who saved us from our wicked lifestyle all we had to do was believe in the death burial and resurrection, and most Jewish people excepted Christ but found their way back to Judaism and that was the problem Paul was having it wasn’t there lifestyle it was there believe always going back to the Law
Believe and have faith in Jesus get you into heaven and not yourself believe Jesus death on the cross was enough to get you into heaven Jesus can only get you into heaven not yourself you CAN'T tithe your way into heaven you can't work your way into heaven you can't knock on doors into heaven you cant do anything to get into heaven besides faith in Jesus Jesus can only get you into heaven
Explaining The Bible ... question, what comes first, believing in Jesus, or repentance. Or the other way around. Or, it doesn't matter which one comes first. Just asking.
Repent means to change your mind but you can't repent unless the holy spirit enables you to, it's all God's work all you can do is receive the gift of Yeshua & what he has done for you through his death burial & resurrection 1corinthians 15:1-4 is the gospel given to Paul for us gentiles/non Jews
Faith without works is dead and a dead faith cannot save. Do works save? no, but a genuine faith in Jesus produces a desire to follow. A desire to obey comes from a genuine faith that produces trust in God. If there is a desire to obey, then it will result in a change in a persons life. How much change? How perfectly will they obey? That cannot be judged by us, but only by God. But if your faith does not produce works, it is dead.
You say that dead faith cannot save, but that’s not true. Dead faith can save from hell. Proof: Romans 4:5 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
I'm sorry but this is wrong. The bible clearly says in hebrews I think, that faith alone is not enough. It says faith without works is dead. It says this many times
Sheryl Mayle it’s like we’re in court facing a lot of charges (sins)and Jesus is our lawyer facing judgement against God the father..all charges are dropped and the case is dismissed we’re justified as not guilty although we’re guilty of every crime we got charged against us

Phenomenal video brother 🙏
Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
You can recognize christians hy their fruits as well. The same chapter says that a good tree bears good fruits
Amen, brother! Awesome explanation, God bless u!

GenXer82 John 3:16, 17 and John 6:40, 47 is pretty clear about salvation and that it is everlasting.
In islam if you die during making a sin then mostly you go to hell.
Nope. The Bible tells you how you are saved. It’s already clear. Faith alone.
1 Peter 4:8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
We are to required to share the Word; the act of sharing is works. Faith + Works = Salvation. How would believers and unbelievers know about God, if you kept the Word to yourself?
You don't share the word to gain salvation, you do it cause you have salvation and you want others to come to christ
Raeshan Peterson John 6:28, -29, is the works of God, and Romans 3:22, and Romans 4:4,5 dispute your description. Salvation is a gift Ephesians 2:8-9.

False. 10 commandments? Sabbath keeping? Good try bud.
@@davidchupp4460 you won't if you wanted to dwell in sin and lawlessness.

Nice explaination God bless you 🙏😇
What is about James 2? Faith without works is Death?
Can you explain it?

It’s a faith that’s not working. However the book of James isn’t written to the body of Christ but the 12 tribes scattered abroad.
All the verses contracting each other
