No camera IS in Roger much better, i have both. And the system.is faster in Rog Phone. But the Screen IS better in REDMAGIC, and in Diablo Mode very fast

One of the major drawbacks of redmagic is the lack of updates. I have a 9 pro since the summer and only received 2 security updates with no line or news android 15 would ever come. I believe they promise 2 major updates but I wouldn't hold my breath. The phone runs great on android 14 dont get me wrong, but asus provides update a lot more frequently. Worth to mention I believe.

If your into console gaming trust me you will not he disappointed
In the UK the actual price difference is staggering. The Redmagic with 512Gb storage is £709, the Asus with 512Gb is £1099. So that's £390 difference!!! There's no reason to buy that either...I got the Redmagic on an early bird deal with 256Gb storage and 12Gb RAM, it still flies and I paid £549. I think that's still available if you sign up. That's HALF THE PRICE OF THE ROG. I'm sorry but 4Gb of RAM and 256gb of storage aren't gonna change that much for me, and at that price this is one of the best bang for buck phones out there. The camera is actually perfectly usable too
I got the redmagic 10 pro global version. For the price and purpose of the phone, it suits my purposes. Its not meant to replace flagship phones like the pro max or Ultra series phone. If you're thinking of getting the redmagic to replace those types of phones, DON'T.

No IP rating so try using the phone in the rain or when you drop the phone and submerge it in water, its done. Also people care about software updates. 2 years vs 7 years of updates. Redmagic doesn't have all the network band frequencies compared to Apple and Samsung for full network compatibility.

To fit a bigger sensor in a phone like Redmagic, they would have to sacrifice a bit of their cooling system. They should just get a good 48MP sensor like the one on iphones and maybe have a team from another company that knows their stuff when it comes to tweaking image processing algorithms do it for them or train their own team

ordered my rog 9 pro edition up from the rog pro 6, i like red magic in almost everyway more than rog except for two very important things for me. rog has the water resistance which is absolutely necessary for me since i work outside. and two, it has background mode macros. i use those things wayyy too much to go without em. wouldn't recommend the rog for any other reasons since the 7 was the last time i would've.

RedMagic nailed it again the RM10Pro! Been a happy RedMagic user since 2022 and a former ROG Phone user too. Best decision I made. Half the price of an ROG phone and I got lots of awesome features not found elsewhere. The UDC, tanky battery life, builtin cooling system, cameras are so so for dailies!!, console mode is cool too.
Rog phone has downgraded big time. The last decent Rog phone is the 7. The Rog phone 8 & 9 offer nothing special especially considering the price tag. With the same money you can buy a much more well rounded phone with a QHD display, better software support, better after care service & much better cameras. Even the true stereo speakers have been removed & now you have the common bottom and earpiece as speakers. Absolutely no reason to buy the Rog phone 9. A huge waste of money.

You know what my issue with that take is, that only applies to consumers who don't want to switch every 2 years. I believe the avid electronics consumer is bored of the phone after a year and change. I don't need 7 years of security updates, 2 years is plenty. And Android version usually take 2 years in development.
Maybe u want to sell the phone and if u do the next person will be supported for a few years at least and most people keep their phones for more then 2 years or pass it down to a family member

Redmagic provides 2 years of software support. It's not great but it's also doesn't cost 1300-1700 dollars compared to Samsung Ultra series phone. The plus would be a better value at 999-1120 dollars. Gaming phone versus flagship. If resale or trade in value is your concern, stick to flagship phones like IPhone or Samsung.
