Even now, it feels like he’s not gone. I’ll often feel that same depression I felt when be died after watching a video like this, and i’ll mourn all over again, Technoblade has so much content that it feels like he never truly died. R.I.P. King Techo, R.I.P.
Edit: I’m not one to thank for likes, but I would like to thank everyone who liked this post, i’m glad to know that i’m not alone in my feelings about Techno after his unfortunate death.
Well i’m here, i’d also like to relay a message about death that I have already said in the replies of this post. Death is not something to fear, well it may be unfortunate. When it happens, the best thing we can do is remember the person for who they were and what they did for the world. In the case of Techno, he was a positive force for good and creativity and inspired people like me to be confident. That’s how I choose to remember Technoblade and to whoever reads this, I think you should remember him like that too.

I've been watching Technoblade since 2016, when I saw him with the YT rank in a hypixel lobby and decided to look him up. What I saw was a guy playing skywars and telling stories. That was it. The thing is, not only was he amazing at the game, but he was a great story teller in a relatable way. He didn't put on a youtuber facade or overly edit his videos, it was just him playing a game and talking. It felt personal. It felt real.
Then came 2018, and Technoblade blew up due to his dominance in Minecraft Mondays, and I couldn't have been happier. He had some hilarious moments, interacting with my other favorite youtubers at the time, mainly the smplive guys, but that's not what excited me the most. Even though I didn't even know the guy, I was genuinely happy for him. I was happy that he was finally getting recognition for his amazing content.
His content soon started taking drastic leaps in quality, with the hypixel skyblock quality being some of his best work to date. The videos had great story, and went completely viral in the minecraft content creation scene. You could tell how hard he worked on them, and how much time he put into them. Still, though, his personality and humor was the best part of the videos. He didn't switch up when he started getting millions of subscribers. He was still the same person I subscribed to 3 years earlier. That's what I believe was the key to his success. He perfectly adapted to the youtube algorithm demanding more fast paced, ambitious content, while still staying true to himself, and having a personality and sense of humor that millions of people could relate to and enjoy.
Right around the same time, he started playing on smp earth, giving him a chance to branch out to an even bigger audience, and his channel grew again as a result.
Then came the dream smp. And yet again, his subscriber count exploded. But like smp earth, it wasn't because of the people he was associated with. It was because the massive new audience of people being introduced to this wacky pig in a crown, and absolutely loving him. At this point he was one of the biggest minecraft youtubers on the site.
Then he came out and said he was diagnosed with cancer. He reassured his viewers that it wasn't that dangerous, and kept them regularly updated, all the while still making content in his usual fashion. Even in the updates he was cracking jokes, like he didn't want the audience to be worried about him, but just wanted them to watch and laugh at his videos the way they always have.
Then Technoblade passed away. Even until the end, he didn't want us to worry about him. Even until the end, he stayed true to himself. Even until the end, he gave us a chance to laugh.
Rest In Peace, Alex. There will never be another creator like you.

I found him by accident at the worst time of my life and hell, I can't lie, he was for real my true Hero and Saviour. Even though I only knew him for two years, I can with all of my confidence say that he is one of the greatest and kindest people I've ever known. I can't express with words how thankful I am to him for everything he did for me and others of us.
In that day I remember to just be crying ***** out of my eyes, I couldn't even breathe properly in the first like 30 minutes of literally choking on my tears… I just couldn't stop my tears for the next week or few. For now, I can't watch his videos as usual, but I still do come back to them, his videos are still the most comforting thing for me (even though I still do end up crying).
Currently, I am thinking about getting a small tattoo, just so I can remember him in the future even better than I would (there's no way I will be able to forget him). He is a true and only Legend ever.

I found techno from a hunger games simulator video over half a decade ago randomly recommended to me by RUclips. He was a bit more known but still a bit niche. It was amazing to really see him come fully into the limelight after the potato war videos. But even form all the way back then, he never changed and was always the same guy we grew to love. I'm glad he made such a massive impact, he is truly irreplaceable.

From his jokes, to his friends, gameplay, knowledge, and life lessons. Everything about him was just great. And its gotten to the point that everytime i hear his voice, even for a split second I start crying, sobbing, waterfalls come out of my eyes. And it's all reinforced by one thing, his name. Not Technoblade, but Alex, the same name as my dead brother.
Man when i tell you that i BROKE when i found out his real name. I understand that its a really common name and everything but, there was something about it. My younger brother, and someone i looked up to like a big brother, two insanely important people in my life shared a name, and died. Of course i knew his just as personally as any of you, but still, i feel somehow that I knew him. I still feel like we were friends for years even have never talked to him.

I was grounded at the time the video was posted, so I only found out maybe a month later. Ever since, I've been skirting the topic of Techno, because I couldn't look at anything related to him for more than five minutes without breaking down crying. That's still true. It's 1:06 in the morning and my face is streaked with tears again over a person on the internet that I've never met. But Technoblade saved me too many times when I was in a bad place, and to this day, I remember to take care of myself when I'm down largely because "If Techno can die and still raise millions of dollars for charity, you can drag your ass out of bed and go eat something."

Aww geez, thanks man… I really needed to ball my eyes out today XD
FR tho man, great video. And i couldn’t have put it better myself.
When I first saw technoblade’s content. I felt a kinda connection to him, because his and my humour were so similar in so many ways.
I would (and still do) try to find the joy and funny side of even the worst of situations. And I feel in finding techno’s content, that only really strengthened.
I am kinda sad I couldn’t have found his content sooner. I only discovered him just before the “I became an amputee” video due to a video he did with fundy and some other RUclipsrs where it was a game show.
And immediately, my first impressions was “who’s this technoblade guy? I gotta subscribe”
Im quite lucky that I have the “early“ bragging rights for a lot of channels. Jacksepticeye, I subbed to him at 100k for example.
But I feel weather I’d subbed to techno early or later (like I ended up finding him.) I wouldn’t see the need to brag, because that was the least incredible thing about it all. It was his energy, how much of myself I could see in him as well.
It’s almost humbling to come across something like that, that kinda creator and content that are just so incredible they only come around once in a lifetime.
I genuinely feel there’s soooooo much we can learn from techno and his content.
And if there just one thing that keeps me happy after his unfortunate death. Is that his dad is still there to talk to everyone else left behind, he still answers the questions, he’s still interacting and active with everyone who loved his son maybe even as much as him.
And IMO, it takes massive strength of character to be able to continue like that after going through so much. And I don’t think anyone would or could have faulted him if he’d just wanted to leave it there.
It’s so clear to see where techno got his incredible humility, care and humour from. And I don’t think anything could stop them both from being, undeniably, the biggest MVP’s. Even after they’re gone.
Thank you for this incredible dive into your experience as a fan. We all appreciate you too :)

I instantly saw so many videos saying ‘rest in peace techno’ so I looked it up. I watched the video, and I cried. I subscribed, right then and there. I made art, with whatever artistic ability I had. I rewatched old videos, learned all I could about him. I kept wishing for it to be a joke. But it wasn’t. I remember watching the video where he announced it, barely knowing who he was at the time. He made it sound like he would get better. He never did. Rest in peace, techno. The potato king, the blood god, the legend. o7. I didn't REALLY start following him until June of 2021, a full year later, but I instantly loved him and his content.
Which is why a full year later I was curled up on my bedroom floor in tears. Having known him for so little time, but feeling like a full portion of my life had just been ripped away.
Thank you so much for this. This is a truly amazing tribute to him.

I’ll never forget him, if anything now that he’s dead I think about him more and more, before his death he was definitely my favorite minecraft youtuber, and after his death, there isn’t a day that goes by without me remembering him at least once

Nice to see that someone decided to pay tribute months after techno stopped trending which in my opinion is a good move.

This video explained exactly how I felt, we all thought there was no way he would die, we all thought he was doing amazing until his dad pops up saying he died. that hit me so hard It felt unreal, I thought he was doing good.. How can he be dead?? I still can’t believe it. I still miss him..

I was never worried about him dying because he didn't seem worried about it. It was like he didn't have cancer at all, he was joking and laughing and seemed so fine, it was like he couldn't die. But then he did. I'm still not sure I believe it.

I remember that day so much, my parents were going to bd and i saw that techno posted only 6 minutes ago! and then as I watched... I swear I cried for over an hour. It still hits me sometimes. This video did. I appreciate how you mention that even though we never met one on one, that it still is okay to feel this way. I'm privileged enough to not be familiar with loss, at least not in this way. So this is new to me and I truly can't imagine how his family must be feeling. Thank you. (: Technoblade never dies o7

Seriously, underrated video. I tremendously appreciate you still keeping his legacy strong and never letting the legend die. When I first met techno on RUclips it was his hunger games from 2017. I remember the undescribable felling of when I first clicked on his video and laughed on to the ground when he made one of his jokes in the beginning of the video. The feeling is like when you are booting up Minecraft for the first time on you Xbox 360 and hear that music just flow into your ears like a symphony. That’s what Techno is a symphony of laughter joy and most importantly determination and how much he cared about how you were and truely tried to make you feel better when you were down. This never stoped throughout his surge in popularity and dedication to his videos. He did not just make our days or years better, he made our lives better and that’s something to remember someone for even after you perish to the heavens were you will one day look him in the face and say Technoblade truly never dies. You know I did cry as well for many hours and then I thought as he was looking down right at us, we have to remember him for what he has done and what he did for this world. So let’s thank Techno and as always, blood for the blood god! o7 p.s. that was the perfect ending it made me cry.

Techno was a great entertainer and was both loved and admired by many, so it was painful to hear about his death. But if it was this upsetting to us fans, I can’t even begin to imagine how hard it was for his friends and family
