NOTE: When resolving a discard effect, the card must come from your hand. It can not be one that is in play, as stated in the video. Sorry for any confusion that might have caused.
Rodney missed the opportunity to explain the world of this game at the top of the video by saying "Water. Earth. Fire. Air. Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked..."
My wife and I had a great time playing through Hogwarts Battle years ago, and we have since watched ATLA with our kids, so this looks like the perfect game to play through with the whole family now!
Wow you even cover anime/cartoon games?! When I see a new game I'm interested in learning more about I always check to see if you have a video on it first. You always do a great job! Thank you!
Thanks as always for the content. Hope you watch the cartoon and enjoy! It's been a blast to go through it again with my kids and I'm looking forward to this game
There are many great things about having ids, but one of the joys has been sharing favorite shows and movies with them, and re-experiencing the magic through their eyes :)
Can you time stamp to the section of the video about reserving allies? I don’t know what that is in reference to (but I’m also traveling, so I might be forgetting what you’re referring to).
When playing with two players, does each of the players play as two characters or do they have to choose which two characters to play? so far we tried both versions but just playing with 2 characters felt much harder than pretending to play a 4 player game with actually just 2 players 👀
Hey there, I'm always happy to try to help with rules questions, but if the answer is provided in the video, than I have to direct you there. You'll find an index in the description to help you find the section you might be looking for.
Question! We just finished box 1 and were going to go to box 2 but don't know what to do with Roku! Aang gained him as a reward but he doesn't have Aang's name on the bottom even though he's supposed to be active to book 7. Do we leave him in the box until he comes back?
I do my best to answer all rules questions on the games I cover, but I avoid individual card effects, as that's a level of detail beyond what I can manage across all the videos I do. If the reward card is part of another type of deck, my assumption is that it would go there (if not Aang's deck, to one of the other general decks it would be a part of, where it could become revealed during future games. If that doesn't address the question, I'd suggest checking the rules forum for the game on BoardGameGeek or the publishers website. I hope you can find your answer there - have fun playing!
1:36 Tsk... Rodney... the intro of the show *clearly* outlines the order of the elements as "Water, Earth, Fire, Air. Long ago, the 4 nations lived in together harmony..."

But I knew you’d take care of it for me!

I’m just watching through the series now!
I just got this for Christmas, your walkthrough was very helpful to get it set up!
So nice to hear - have fun playing!

Thanks for the kind words - appreciate you checking out the videos.
@WatchItPlayed You're very welcome.
If this man is playing Aang's Destiny, one must play Pai Sho.
I’ll admit, I don’t know the show as well as I’d like. I plan to start watching. I’ve only heard good things!
@@WatchItPlayed Animated first friend, not the movie/film, but the live action is somewhat okay. IMO, the animated is Shakespeare.
@@divinedragon88oh yeah, animated for sure!
@@WatchItPlayed Also for context, Pai Sho is the name of a board game in the show's universe.

Great video! My kids would love this game. They are really getting into deck-building.
I’m hoping to start the campaign with my neighbors soon. I hope your crew gets a chance to try it!
That spin at 27:50 was smooth mad respec
*takes a bow*
So this is adapted from the Harry Potter Deckbuilder? It looks like it has new mechanics to match ATLA
I haven’t played the HP version, but I believe there are some inspirations from it.
I noticed it too! Same company, definitely some of the same systems, but with some twists for sure.
My first thought as soon as I saw the player boards and the 7 boxes.
Thanks! One of my favorite shows. The game looks like fun.
I’m watching the show for the first time right now!
Amazing job as always Rodney
Thank you kindly!
Let's gooooooooo!!! I'm stoked for this.
Thanks for checking it out!
Very much reminds me of Hogwarts Battle, but it looks like it does a couple of different things. Looks like fun!
Thanks for checking out the video!
Made by the same makers of Hogwarts Battle! It’s practically the same game which my wife and I love!

When this that series dropping? Did we just kick it off??
Syrup, Hockey, Politeness, Snow... Long ago the four nations lived in harmony...
Great video. One question: If stunned do we lose the Reserved allies?
Can you time stamp to the section of the video about reserving allies? I don’t know what that is in reference to (but I’m also traveling, so I might be forgetting what you’re referring to).
Do the hearts or the ship reset when starting a new box?
Everything resets between games.
@ Thank you for clarifying.
I cant find it in the rules, but when switching to new box, does the ships progress reset or stay at its current location?
@@Ddunk76 It all resets

MY CABBAGES!!
Hihi, excellent! ^^
Every time I'll begin a new box should the fire nation ship go back to starting point or continue from where it is?
@@nalubap You follow the original setup steps unless told otherwise.
Is “out of play” rest of campaign or just that mission?
@@jtfike Just that mission.

He goes to the General Supply deck. If you look, you will see he has a purpose cost of 8.
Well, crap. I need this.
Thanks for checking it out!
A better ''Battle of Hogwarts'' game, nice.

I will start watching the show immediately as penance!
