  • The Prism Woman route of the stage. In my opinion, probably the harder route of the stage to do quickly. There's a lot of involved Electro Cabling and that long room over the pit is real scary. Big thanks to Juaroomblah who helped me brainstorm a bunch of really good strats.
    To start with is the part that runs of either Element have to go for. The first half of the stage has two main difficult parts. The first is the screen that branches to the second Token. That Prism Attacker is REALLY in the way. I don't think there's really a good way around it so you just have to tank it, but depending on how fast you did the room, you can get hit by it and not fall off the ledge. You want to aim for this because Track Shoes-ing back up the ledge eats up precious frames.
    The other hard part is of course the Bike to Shoes over spikes maneuver. I must be severely out of practice because this maneuver got me killed soooo much. I blame Doorkman putting me out of commission for 2 months.... But also this maneuver is always just hard. Especially when the punishment for missing it is death.
    And now for the stuff specific for this Element. For starters, you can get a crazy good Ctrl+R at the second checkpoint. It skips having to go around the rest of the screen. And since it's right at the bottom of the screen, you can hit Ctrl+R as soon as you hit the screen transition from the previous screen and you'll still get the checkpoint just fine.
    The Tyhorn room is actually quite annoying. Killing Tyhorn is no problem. You can just use 2 Tornado Blows. The issue is trying to get across the large pit. There's not really any other architecture to work with here so we're forced to use the Tyhorn Platforms to get through. It feels pretty bad to wait for them to come down. Thankfully, Juaroomblah came up with a strat where we don't have to wait too much. Still have to wait a little, but we can latch onto the first Tyhorn Platform a lot earlier by clinging onto the ceiling at the start of the room. Latching onto them in the first place is a pretty annoying though. It's really easy to hit the magic pixel on these things because they're so short and if you miss and hit the bottom of them, you're also dead. Your Electro Cable just dies a little bit later.
    Then from the third checkpoint on, it's all hard. There's a lot of difficult horizontal floor Electro Cables. You need to time a lot of these juuust right or else you'll be losing time. With the first screen after the checkpoint, you want to avoid hitting the wall on the way down. On the second screen, you WILL get hit by a Fukuhorn, but there's a specific timing in which you trip over the bottom Fukuhorn as you're coming down and that loses the least time. The horizontal floor Electro Cable on the fifth screen is the hardest of them all because you need to time the Electro Cable super fast after dropping in. I land it so rarely that I didn't know what to do after actually landing it in this run.
    Then the long room over the pit. I think the strat I use here is pretty good. Again, thanks to Juaroomblah for thinking of using Electro Cable optimizations to avoid using the Ring Man Platforms too much and being able to Rush Bike faster over just sliding. That said, that one Prism Attack is just SO in the way. I use a Tornado Blow to get rid of it as soon as I can, but without that Tornado Blow, it just blocks everything which is super annoying.
    This run beats the previous 0 jump record, Juaroomblah's 1:59.420, an improvement of 599 frames (or 9.983 seconds). For improvements, I made two pretty big mistakes. First, despite hitting that difficult horizontal floor Electro Cable, I didn't capitalize on it by spawning Rush Bike as soon as possible. Second, I lost some time on Prism Woman by getting hit. I wasn't ready for her to just toss a prism straight forward. Most of the time when I fight her, she lobs the prisms instead. Getting hit delayed my Banshee Wail chain by a bit. One more thing, if you do everything from the second checkpoint right, you can avoid using an M Tank like I do here. But most of the time, I find I need to use it.
