  • Before we can properly understand the Sermon on the Mount, we must understand the beatitudes; and in particular, we need to understand the first beatitude: poor in spirit. Poverty of spirit is the soil in which all the other beatitudes grow. It's the first truth that must be believed in order to open the door for other spiritual truths. Most importantly, being poor in spirit is the characteristic of those who will go to heaven when they die. Are you poor in spirit or proud in spirit?

Pastor Tim, I pray your able to read this. I discovered lessons you shared 13 years ago. I wanted so badly to be a "christian leader" but I was just a self serving false convert, for 10 years. I would listen to your messages occasionally and wish I could Feel what you were talking about, so I would instead find someone I could copy to get a handclap. God lovingly destroyed my life, and Then brought me into Himself about 3 years ago. I listened today with peculiar interest in how I might receive this. My heart hasn't been this happy in so long. Everything your communicating bears witness with the Spirit in me, it's real Truth! I'm just so humbled that God would be mindful of me. Thank you Pastor Tim for the example of real true simple gospel. These are tears of joy today.

“The biggest problem in getting people saved is not their sin, it’s their good.” Selah I had to pause the video on that statement. This was so true for me. Thank God for a clearer perspective of the chasm that separates us from Him and His Holiness.

I have rationalized my sexual sin forever. Even when I convinced my self that it wasn’t bad. And after all god made me this way. It’s very serious right now that I completely stop. All sexual sin. The excuse that I biologically have to orgasm. Always with porn is a dangerous gun I hold to my head.

    • @illbehonest

Correct, the title has a capital S in order to conform to the title standards. I do see how that could be confusing. But indeed this is not talking about the Holy Spirit.

In context, Jesus was speaking to the Jewish people before they ordered His crucifixion. We however are under the new covenant in His blood and are neither Jew nor Gentile but rather new creations in our Lord Jesus Christ, perfect, blameless and sanctified in our Heavenly Father's sight by His gift of grace and by our faith in the shed blood of Christ and His resurrection from the dead. Holy Spirit is now regenerating us as Father God works in and through us for His good pleasure, so that we can become fruitful trees in His House for His glory. When we bear fruit He prunes us so that we can bear more fruit and He disciplines us when we fall short as only a Good Father should and the blood of Jesus cleanses us of a guilty conscience, so that we can continue to serve our Father, while Holy Spirit comforts and guides us in our times of trouble making intercession for us with groanings too deep for words. Bless you in the Name of Jesus. Amen

Lord, help us to fight the good fight of faith and remind us to put on the full armor of God, so that we can overcome I ask in the Name of Jesus. Amen

In context, Jesus Christ (The Word of God), had his words written for all believers after the cross.
Your attempt to exclude the Body of Christ from the Words of Jesus Christ is extremely wicked and something you need to Repent of.
Do you not realize what you are doing ? You are attempting to make the Word of God (Jesus Christ) null and void so that you can keep your precious doctrine (of man) intact.
Have you thought about how you are going to explain this to Jesus Christ one day ?
Ugh, Jesus sorry I told everyone to ignore you..... I ummm, I did not think you meant what you said ! I mean thanks for the cross and all, but your words were really unimportant, not worthy of your followers. We really believed in our hearts that if we ignored everything you said, it would make us much better at following you....
      STOP IT, STOP MOCKING GOD.
You cannot believe in Jesus Christ without believing Jesus Christ.
I am sorry if this is extremely harsh, but watching someone claim to be a follower of Jesus Christ while at the same time acting (as an enemy of Jesus Christ) to nullify his work on this earth is very infuriating.

Mat 28:18 KJV - And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Mat 28:19 KJV - Go ye therefore, and TEACH ALL NATIONS, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Mat 28:20 KJV - TEACHING THEM TO OBSERVE ALL THINGS whatsoever I HAVE COMMANDED YOU: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.
I think maybe you linked the wrong scripture, if not I do not understand what it was you were trying to communicate.
