The Wanderer seems to be manipulating her, and once Pandora’s Box is released, The Wanderer will use it to trap Hope inside of it. This will cause Jones to bring in Marvel heroes to assist in the fight against The Wanderer. At some point, I think that when Hope is freed from the box, she will emerge with godlike powers, similar to the gods from Myths and Mortals

If players actually spoke to the Evie NPC in the final days of Chapter 4 Season 1, she said that she didn't touch the Rift Gate, and whoever actually did had good intentions. I believe that AMIE sabotaged the Rift Gate, since she said that she needed to use it to find the Seven. But I get why you think Evie did it, since apparently, MEGA wasn't actually meant to be Season 2. It's also possible that Evie lied and actually did use the Rift Gate, so who knows?
