I gotta say Lauren Faust's artwork has sort of inspired me, I REALLY love her simple yet expressive and stylish art form. I'm an engineer so I will probably never get recognition for it, but I LOVE to draw in my spare time when I'm not making gratuitously long videos about MMORPGs. Mrs. Faust if you are reading this, You have inspired me, and while I will attempt to emulate your style, I will make sure to give it my own original flair. Peace!

I love how the music changes depending on which character shows up, and it has to do with their personality. Milky Way: Hers is the most basic, since she’s the main character Venus: a harp, since she’s elegant and likes ballet Jupiter: it sounds a bit like disco music, which makes sense given her “hippie” aesthetic Pluto: rock music since she’s punk/goth Mars: chiptune-type beat that sounds like a UFO, since she has an alien aesthetic
I love how all of the girls have their own themes without it just being “galaxy print + colours from their planets!” Venus, usually known as the planet of love has a lovecore scheme going on and I love it.

It sucks, for sure, but I kinda get why they turned it down. Like, why go for a totally new IP that has a possibility of failing when you can go with your tried and true franchise that has historically made you bank? It sucks from a creative standpoint, but it makes sense financially.
She said they rejected it because the promotional color was blue and it wasn’t girly enough but I can guarantee as someone who was in the target age demographic at the time 8 year old me would’ve loved it! Hell 8 yr old me loved it back then. I used to watch this video like everyday back then😭😭😭

My consensus: Friendship is Magic was created by Lauren Faust with major control over the series, but not complete control. It's arguably the greatest cartoon in modern times. If Faust could get her pitch in for Galaxy Girls, she'd have COMPLETE CONTROL over it. Judging by the fact it doesn't have to be based on a pre-existing franchise AND that Faust would have total control over it, it could possibly be EVEN BETTER than FiM. People, please give money to this.

The character designs are smart as venus gives a happy heart vibe, as venus was named after the greek princess of love. I would love to see more character designs like saturn,uranus,neptune,jupiter and Earth. This animation must have originally been made before 2006 thats why pluto is there and if it was made in 2010 then ceres and other dwarf planets would exist. These look like characters from a show as it was created by the creator of mlp. Hopefully by 2026 it will be a show :)

I remember seeing this a long time ago! Outside of it not revealing much what the actual show was about, as a Sailor Moon girl I would have been very curious to see what would've become of it!
