This is a vlog about my experience as an online Doctor of Business Administration student. I'm looking at this as a way to capture my growth, ensure other students can make informed decisions, and "process the information I am learning" by speaking about it.
Thank you for sharing your perspective! Following a similar trajectory starting with masters in I/O in the fall. Your insight is getting my mindset in order. Continued strength and blessings through this process!
THAT’S SO EXCITING!!!! We need more I/O practitioners! You will do well! Glad I can help and feel free to stay connected! Ty for the well wishes as they are embraced and needed! Make sure you are networking!!!!!!
Starting my DBA in Information Systems January 1st. Much appreciation for the window into such a doctorate.
I’m going for a bachelors in health sciences since biology was on campus only. Talking to the counselor she stated it’s feasible to do multiple classes at once. It was recommended I do 3-4 at a time as a full time student. I know you are working as well and doing your thing with school. What do you think is actually doable? I’ve done UAGC 6 week terms with no issue so I think I could get it done but I’ve not don’t college in this breakdown before.
My initial reaction is that is a lot to work full-time and balance 3-4 undergraduate classes full time. I won’t say its impossible but it will be challenging. You already know time management will be key. If the workload of the individual classes are not a lot then it may be manageable to do 3-4 classes. You may risk not soaking in the material because you are always doing homework for multiple classes versus studying and soaking in the material for a few. I would also consider how many weeks are the classes? If they are 12 weeks each, all taken at the same time, that is better than 6 weeks with all at the same time. The good news is you should have a grace period to withdraw without an impact to your GPA so you can try it and stay in contact with your counselor/professor. If I remember correctly, I only did 2 classes at a time for my undergraduate while working full-time. Also not sure how this impacts your financial aid so you have to consider that as well; I hope this helps.
@@thesagecc thank you for your input. I personally don’t have to pay for anything out of pocket my job covers everything. I’m lucky in that sense however I know my time will be spread thin if I do this. 2-3 classes sounds reasonable I’ve just never taken any colleges classes more then one at a time. Thank you for the info though, I want the degree asap but I do want to actually learn the material. Your channel has given me so much helpful information keep it up 👍🏾
@@plussizemadness5723 Very welcome! Glad it helps! Make sure you network with key decision makers and hiring managers; I learned that the hard way.
