Interesting. Dynes is guys who are an offshoot of Pylontech, a battery that I was really rating very well. I’m hoping Pylontechs don’t have this same issue. Now I’m beginning to pray that the BYD Blade, which is being used on Electrical Vehicles will soon come to Solar (Pv) domestic stations.
How reliable are the Dyness batteries, have you tried the BX51100, im looking at getting the BX51100 but the cells on this doesn't look so strong as some of the other lipo4 come in a blue aluminum shell instead of this orange plastic. also have a bolt connector on the top is this lipo4 as ive seen some data sheets saying diff type of battery cells also seen you had bms issues hows the 10 year warranty and overall with this battery Have you tried other brands like the Revo R100 im looking for a reliable battery for home use on a 5kva inverter so its good to see videos like this
Hi Albert. Ive been doing some research on the Dyness BX51100 and i cant seem to fiqure out which type of cells are being used in the battery. (either Pouched Cells which are flat cells or the proper Prismatic cells which are those blue aluminum blocked cells you talking about). Have you heard or seen which cells are being used in this battery?
@@EbrahimaStemmet cant find much about it but looks like its the flat pouched cells, some guys say the Dyness brand are a bunch of guys that have left pylontech but im not sure, from videos ive seen they seem to have a similar design and use the same pouched cells and connectors
So from what I understood, someone cut the communication cables between the battery racks and when you replaced the communication cable, the replacement cable was different from what the actual manufacturer used. Thus the balancing went off and resulted in one of the racks having bloated cells. Did I understand it correctly?
An armed robbery occurred and the robbers slashed all the cables. Because we did not have online monitoring we did not know what was happening. A few weeks back the reported a battery issue and when we visited it showed a communication failure. We replaced the cable and it worked fine. I guess the damage had already happened
I have the same problem with 2x B4850 dyness batteries installed in 2020 with 5year warranty. I have not opened them yet and still need follow the warranty claim route.
Those cells looked like they were overcharged. Lifepo4 should charged to 3.45-3.55v (16s/55.2 -56.8v). Do not rely on the charge controllers voltage reading, measure the voltage at the battery and adjust acccirdingly.
very good analysis. We need to train the market not watching the price only. Buy quality.Saving 50 bucks on a battery and burning down the house. Not really smart.

I am sure they have ironed out the issues. I purchased them in 2019

They came through on the warranty. So they are good there. They use pouches in the battery that we have opened
@@drsolar What is the root cause of this failure?
@@PTNZService bad cells or the board.

Is the dyness battery can match the quality of Pylon ? most of the sellers telling it's exact same cells and quality. I'm not sure how to trust those
Pylontech has history. Dyness techs used to work at Pylontech. They left to form their company. At the price point they are competitive.

I think you do.
1:10 very ready to kabooom
Pretty close to the noisy reaction. Glad we found it early enough.
2P5S at 3.2v which is 3.2x5=16v and three of these is 16x3= 48v nominal
Thank you.

Connected to a LuxPower hybrid with Bms communications. We really don't know what happened. We know that the Bms stopped accepting charge
Там 15s а не 16s. Полный заряд 53v
Can you give out the bad rack battery pack to one of you DIY subscribers? (eg me)
LOL.I will use it for a DIY project that I have in mind.

Thank you for watching and commenting. I agree 100%
How old is the dyness unit?
Installed summer of 2020. Relatively new. Thanks for watching and commenting
@@drsolar Is the new BX51100 battery using Pouched cells or Prismatic cells?
i also have this exact battery... exact problem... i will NOT buy dyness again!
They provide good support.
Bummer over charged pouch batteries!
I wish I knew exactly what happened. I suspect some issues with the BMS
@@drsolar if its a 15s 2p lifepo4 battery then it's bound to be overcharged as it should be 16s to reach 58.8v max for a typical 48v system voltage
